"I went to leave my review for Custom Inks review request. Below is the review I intended to leave:
"It is hard for me to express the disappointment in my Custom Ink experience. Your marketing efforts have been fantastic to mislead people in the quality of the products. While the quality of the shirt American Apparel USA-Made Tri-Blend Track T-shirt - Athletic Grey was decent, the print area on the shirt was much too small, and resulted in a less than optimal look. The ability to truly do a custom design for shirts and hats is incredibly limited. On top of all of this, the fact that you are not even able to look at a proof without ordering a shirt and have it delivered is absolutely mad. I'm very glad I only order sample amount, cause I now know that I should not order the rest from Custom Ink. However, I am astounded that the sample order cost me over $40/shirt! Worst money I have spent as a business owner yet. On top of everything, the other 2 shirts were likely the worst quality shirts I have ever purchases....again at $40 a pop! The Hanes Nano-T — Light Steel XL fit more like a MEDIUM, and the material felt like cardboard. The Gildan Ultra Cotton T-shirt fit was also off, and had terrible fabric as well. To continue to add to the terrible experience, I had to purchase each of these SEPARATELY because your site does not allow you to add multiple custom designs to a single order. This was a terrible fulfillment experience as I now had three orders to track, from different carriers! When attempting to contact customer service before my order, it took 3 days for an initial response. After getting the response, and asking an additional question, I never heard back. I called in 2 days after not getting a response. The over the phone agent clarified my questions, but was supposed to follow up with me on a few point she did not have an answer to. This also went unanswered til this day. I could go on and on with more areas of dissatisfaction. In short, my business will be taking our custom apparel orders elsewhere."
Upon submitting these several times, I was returned with an error message stating "Sorry, there was an error processing your request. Please try again. We apologize for any inconvenience." This repeated several times.
If I try to leave a good review, just to test, it goes through just fine! I've searched for places to provide this information, and this was the only one...full of bad reviews! Someone needs to point out the unethical practice that they are doing to prevent bad reviews from being provided to their consumers. "
"Horrible experience for me personally. Initially, customer service was excellent; they combined two orders I had placed online and saved me some money on design. I like honesty and transparency, especially when I would have paid it anyway.
Then the crummy service happens, 24 hours before I was to receive my order, I received an email stating that they misprinted my shirts. You would think they would be able to make others, but instead, that delays my shipment. I was offered a voucher for my next purchase ( 25 dollars) for an $837 order that needed to be here on time for a video shoot.
In short, when I requested that the voucher be applied to the order, the rep said can't do that. I asked to cancel the order instead, and I'll take my business elsewhere. Compromise in business is essential, and the lack of compromise is the reason why I'll never do business with custom ink.

We will not print material that can be considered unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortuous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable.
It was none of those... Sorry custom ink, i will shop elsewhere."
"this is a joke company, doing something most people don’t know anything about, so they do it poorly and no one notices. except the 1K+ people here.
they offer reviews on their site, but there’s no where to give them. i wonder where they come from and if they’re real reviews at all.
do yourself a favor and just visit a local print shop or screenprinter.
this kind of company will die soon when people realize what a rip-off middleman scheme it is."
"Design software is very buggy, unstable, unintuitive and unusable. Spent may days struggling to get a design completed and had to give up. Contacted support many times. Their only solution is to make changes for you on their end. Just not acceptable and very frustrating!"
"The company does good printing but really did me wrong. I had 3 people at Customink check out my design for a shirt. All said it was fine. I spent hours more tweaking it. Placed the order and was then told that they wouldn't print it because it used an M C Escher print as part of a parody. Why didn't they tell me that right off instead of telling me it was okay. I spent hours doing work, taking orders, collecting checks. Now I have to return the checks and apologize to all that I took orders from. They were very nice to me and tried to make it up but there was no way that they could because they still wouldn't print the shirt. Find a company who tells you correct information the first time. This was a horrible experience."

1. Our order was incorrect. They shorted us several shirts (all of which were larger sizes that they upcharged us for, because of course they were) for a rush order that we paid extra for. They were unable to reprint the shirts for us in time for our event.
2. The sales team's attitude to the issue was essentially "That ****. Too bad! We could get them to you AFTER they've become useless though!" Not helpful.
3. A good chunk of the shirts appear to have brown spotting on them, like a printer spilled some chocolate on them (on whit shirts, of course).
Never using them again. I'd rather pay double and actually get what I ordered in the quality I'd expect."
"I ordered a t-shirt through a group order, but CustomInk took my money directly through PayPal. They did not get the shirts there in time for the memorial, so the order was canceled. Now they refuse to give me back my money, stating that it is up to the organizer to give back the money. The organizer doesn't even live in the same state as I do. If CustomInk directly takes the money, they should have to refund everybody individually that paid them directly. They refused to allow me to talk to anybody higher than a sales team manager, stating that billing doesn't talk to customers directly.
Do not use these people if you don't know the organizer personally, because you may never get your money back."
"We're taking a family trip to Disneyland in April and thought it would be fun to have matching tshirts. I've always seen commercials for CustomInk and decided to give it a try. I designed custom art/logo based on Nintendo because my daughter loves Mario.
Designing the shirt on CustomInk's website was easy enough. You upload the art and scale/place it where you like. They even have a feature where you can add various shirt sizes to your cart and it automatically place the art for you. $98 (4 shirts) later and my order was in.
About a week later and my shirts arrived. Upon seeing them I was immediately unimpressed. There were some scattered oil like stains on 2 of the shirts. The art print was blurry but decent. The biggest let down was the fact that the art placement was all over the place. The art on my shirt was consistent with my across the chest placement. However, it goes down hill from there. The placement on my wife's shirt is slightly lower. Even worse, my daughter's shirt has the art on the stomach area. How did this pass quality control?!
I conveyed these concerns to CustomInk after they reached out to me via email. Their CS was nice enough but they didn't seem to take responsibility for any of the short comings. They told me the oil stain is normal as its part of the printing process and it should wash right out. Two washes now and the stain is still there. The blurry art print is also "normal". Apparently, because my order was smaller a lesser print technique was used so the blurriness was acceptable by their standards. I would have appreciated disclosure of this prior to placing my order. I sent the CS rep pictures of my shirts to inquire about the off placements of the art and again his reply was it was normal. Because my order was small they can't be expected to set up their machines for each shirt print.
It seems this company doesn't take pride in their work, particularly if your order is "small". The fact that they sent me an invoice with pictures of each shirt with proper art placement was very deceiving. I will not likely use CustomInk again.
UPDATE 02/04/18: After posting my reviews online, a customer satisfaction associate from CustomInk emailed me and apologized for my experience. She made me 2 very generous offers: 1) reprint of all (4) my shirts to my satisfaction at no cost to me, 2) complete refund of my order and I can still keep the shirts. I accepted 2 reprints because although all 4 were not the best prints I only felt 2 were drastic enough that warranted replacement. She expedited the prints and I got them the following week. The new shirts definitely look better. I really appreciated her gesture and changed my rating to 4 stars from 1 star. I did not give them 5 stars because my initial experience with their CS became frustrating very fast and feel they can improve in that aspect. "

"I had a wonderful experience with the folks at Customink and got a great product!! I was creating a tee shirt from just an idea and had to talk to several people along the way. All of which had such great enthusiasm and product and process knowledge. You can teach knowledge, but you can't fake enthusiasm. They also got me to the finish line and turned my idea into exactly what I was thinking. The shirts turned out great, excellent print quality, fast production and delivery and good prices too. I can be hard to work with as I keep changing things until I get it right. That was not a problem at Custom ink. My ambassador Audrey M. is a total Rock Star.
