NOTE: (Remember this is an assemble yourself couch in two square boxes that only weighs 190 Lbs) this is a shipping issue and I could only imagine what it would be like if the product arrives damaged. Let’s read on!

What is going on CYMAX? Do you just want to screw me? GET IT TOGETHER!

So I place an order for a couch back on March 25, its on back order but it is scheduled to be back in stock April 3, and arrive today April 16. (I sold my other couch so the living room is bare, just bare, how am I supposed to have company, I’m living like a hermit)

April 4 rolls around and I still don’t get a tracking number. So I figure I will call and ask what’s happening. Agent in shock tells me that he wasn’t aware that the shipment was going to Canada (Dude, listed in CDN Dollars) . The couch will be shipped by the Monday April 6.

Thursday, April 9 rolls up and no tracking information again. I figured I would give them a little time but I get nothing so it’s time to call again. Agent tells me (get this) that they normally ship with Fed Ex but that Fed Ex wouldn’t take the shipment so they just sat on it, doing nothing (WHAT???). however, they had made arrangements for another shipping company and it would be sent on Monday April 13.

Tuesday April 14 at this point it’s feels like I need to babysit friggin Cymax as the incompetent employees can’t seem to manage their job of shipping (remember I never once yelled on the phone I just simply called with a calm voice asking questions, maybe I should have torn into them a little more, lol). So I give them a little buzz again. Agent – who was I? to be calling before the 48 hour notice period when I was told I would get a tracking number on Monday (woman its Tuesday that’s why I’m calling). She tells me that they aren’t used to shipping couches and that this never happens (GAWD DARN Cymax is furniture store that doesn’t know how to ship furniture.

*UPDATE AFTER REVIEW - Begins Now*

Ok first off, do you know how difficult it is to bring a gal back to your place and there is no couch in your townhouse Batch-Pads living room. The couch acts like the buffer before the magic becaue you can't be the creep thats like "hey thanks for coming back to my house from the bar, lets go hangout on my bed." What, to do braid each other hair and do our nails until our cycles sync together? Please

So I can personally say that Cymax has lost 3 potential future wive prospects because of the tardy order. I thought that Tanille and I really had something going. Hummmffff

Ok back to the story, after I wrote my very indepth and professional review above I was contacted by none other then Travis K. (I think he is the only person that actually reads these things anyhow)

Travis is was very concerned about my review and insured me that things would be rectified. Travis being from Vancouver and me being from Calgary caused for some witty banter along the playoff run all of which I took in from my sh*tty computer chair in the living room. Hey the fames pulled it out which did help the back pain before they had it handed to them by the ducks next round.

Either way Travis was very helpful in providing me with a contact for the remaining problems with the Cymax shipping department. I just hope that this online furniture company can GET THEIR SHIPPING TOGETHER! No pun intended, Travis write a memo to the boss dude.

Ok so we (me and Travis) chatted a few time to find that we had to go through 2 additional shippers that rejected the shipment before we found a third party contractor that would be able to take the shipment to Canada. YaaaaY!

Now I do some international shipping at my place of employment so I know that there are really 4 things that are needed to ship something over the border. They are a (bill of lading, commercial Invoice, Nafta form and a customs broker). Cymax only had the bill of lading so I needed to step in if I wanted to ever have a couch again.

I was able to find the contact information to the border crossing agent (Trav says she’s a dime piece, I would know) and would contact her to find that there was no Nafta, commercial or customs broker which I would relay to Travis to have him get the info straightened out.

Alright so the couch finally comes, the couch estimated for April 16 finally comes on May 13. Here’s the kicker, its missing a couple parts to get the one head rest on, so I give Cymax Super Agent Travis a buzz again… He was able to find the product and have it shipped out to me which arrived on May22.

Not a bad couch, comments from the delivery guy was “are you a doctor?”, I say “No, why do you ask?”, he says “because you have a doctors couch?” Yeah finally I could have been tell girls I was a doctor 1 month ago.

Either way, I can now get to entertaining guest, finally and pretending I’m a psychiatrist. Hehe

" The Winsome wine cabinet is not a thing of beauty and joy forever, but then, that is not what you are paying for. It is well constructed with a variety of materials, including a wood that looks like a mahogany relative, and masonite. the stain is not walnut although it is a dark brown with red tones in it. I would not put this unit front and center in a room but it looks very nice at the side of my dining area.
It is pretty straightforward to assemble, but expect to be frustrated with the last screw as you stick your arm in up to your elbow and attempt to tighten it with a hex key.
