"I ordered an NEC 2500A DVD-R drive on Monday night 2/9, and it was sent out on 2/10. I checked the tracking information, and it was sent to the wrong location. I called them and they said that they would call me back with a resolution to the problem. I missed the phone call, but I did receive an email stating that they were sending out a replacement via 2-day FedEx. So, I received the drive in the same amount of time, and they did me right as a customer. I will definately do business with them again."

"I had ordered a DVD Sony Dru 510a burner ($133) for my borthers B-day, but our father had bought him one also.
So i needed to return My sony. I called DIY Micro, and it was some what hard to get a hold of some, usually got a machine, but I did get some one and they said that I just send it back and they gave me a full refund, no restocking fee or anything.

I was very happy with their service, and will do business again.

"Ordered a PX708A-BL DVD drive with 2nd day shipping on the 21st. On the 30th I decided to cancel the 2nd day shipping option as it was obviously not going ot make it in time for Christmas. Within 5 hours Miriam Castro responded advising me that they would process it with their normal shipping rate.
As of today, the status on their page was still "incomplete" and I have not been billed. I requested that the order be canceled. Miriam responded within minutes to advise that it would be canceled and I received an cancel confirmation shortly afterwards.
The only positive out of my experience with them was how quickly Miriam responded to my emails, maybe he works in the wrong department or would be better off at another company. Other than that, I'm thoroughly disappointed and feel that I should have stuck with my favorite (Newegg) even though they were $20 more expensive. Afterall, even being $20 more expensive the price would have been nearly identical after calculating the 2nd day shipping and going by past experience I normally get things from newegg in 2 days with their Fed-Ex Super Saver shipping which is often included in the sale price.

"I usually buy from Newegg but the burner I wanted was out of stock. Found DiyMicro on the web. Price was a few dollars cheaper with free FedEX shipping. Ordered a Plextor DVD burner late Sunday night, Dec. 28th. Got email confirmation the next morning. FedEX tried to deliver my item on Tuesday Dec. 30th but I wasn't home. Delivered the next day Dec. 31st. Now that's some service. Keep up the good work. Newegg has got some competition. Definitely try DiyMicro."

"Searched Pricegrabber for best price on a Sony 510A DVD. Found it on DIY for $148 (on sale) w/no shipping. Ordered it on 11/11 over the web, got an email next day saying it had shipped. Arrived fed-ex ground 3 days later. No muss, no hassle, no problems. Well packed. Will do business again."

"Order placed on Oct 24, shipped next business day (Oct 27). Very fast service. Too bad someone wrote the zip code incorrectly and it was shipped to the other side of the town. After another weekend of waiting and contacting FedEx it was not until Nov 5 had I received the package.

Overall I think it's a very nice store to do business with and will buy from them in the future.
