I finally contacted them(twice) and they admitted the item was not in stock even though it was listed as such on their site. Second time I ordered a dvd set that was marked off and then today received an email that there was a pricing error and they were cancelling my order but that they encourage me to reorder at the correct price which was 35 dollars more. "I must agree with all of the other reviewers. I ordered a movie that I thought I had ordred on Blu-Ray on November 11, 2010. I mistakenly ordered the regular DVD. I have repeatedly contacted the company via eMail (I don't see any telephone number on their web site) to request a return authorization, I have had no response to-date (December 22, 2010). To-date I have had no response.
Subsequently, I have filed a complaint with the Illinois Better Business Bureau as of December 22, 2010."
"I agree with the other negative reviewers. I ordered 6 dvd's and 1 cd. 5 days later, the items were showing up as "open order" not "shipped" so I attempted to cancel the order and ordered the same items through Amazon. Now they email me to say the orders were shipped and I can't cancel!! Guess what - they're still marked as "open" on the website.
Called before I canceled and was on hold for 20 minutes and then an endlessly ringing phone. Now, they have a message on their phone saying they're closed for Thanksgiving (it's December 20).
This company should not be allowed to be in business. Do NOT use them. Amazon has the same items for the same price."

This site requires a last order date to complete this review. I note that it has been almost 4 months now and no products. This despite the fact that their site claims these products are all in stock. I have sent about 10 bi-weekly emails and have received conflicting and dishonest responses each time.
You should absolutely 100% avoid these shysters at all costs. I have purchased ~300 BluRays in the past year from amazon, bestbuy, target, walmart, barnes and noble and others. Thye are not perfect, but none of the others have the problems deepdiscount has and they will at least operate honestly. A couple reviews before me said it best: you might as well flush your money down the toilet if you place an order with them."
"My experience with this store has been awful. Their prices aren't bad, and I got a DVD box set on super sale, at a fraction of it's original cost.
However, I placed the order on November 19th, 2010, purchasing this as a christmas present. After 2 emails asking for ANYTHING, I finally got a auto-email telling me it shipped today, December 15th, and will not arrive until christmas eve, at the earliest. I have yet to speak to a real person.
Their lack of any sort of customer service, along with this horrible wait and ruining a christmas present promises I will never shop here again."
"This company is horrible!!! I ordered my item, checked out as a guest, and immediately got a confirmation email of my order that was in stock and would arrive in 5-10 business days. Two weeks later when I realized I had never gotten a confirmation of shipping I tried to follow the link in their email to check my order but it wouldn't let me because I hadn't set up an account. Then I tried to email customer service and got an instant reply that I would get a response in 1 business day. 4 days later after getting no response I tried to call their phone line. It kept telling me to stay on hold and then disconnecting! I tried again the next day and waited on hold for 25 minutes before some guy came on and told me he couldn't cancel my order because it was definitely shippin within 24 hours. Now there is basically no chance my nieces and nephews will get their x-mas presents before x-mas, if they come at all. I should have bought through Amazon!!"
"One word, terrible. Ordered a CD online, no mention of backorder status until auto email came. Tried 800 number 4 different times, waited up to 45min. no answer. Then it started to ring busy at ext 3. I did a search of google to find an alternate number and did find one for the receptionist at ***-***-****. the first 2 times i explained it to her, she just sent me back through the same phone loop i had already been on. Now she says she will try to find someone to help me cancel this order. Still waiting 10 min. in on this call. About 12min. she did find someone to handle my cancellation of the order which took about 2 min. Thank you receptionist! :)"
"When they first opened they rivaled Amazon etc. Now, they are just OK and better deals can be found elsewhere. Shipping is slow and painful and therefore I cannot recommend them."
"Gotta agree with all the negative reviews here. This company has really gone down the drain. The last three orders I have placed have immediately gone to "backordered", though there was no indication on the website that the items were not available. You cannot get a response to queries via e-mail or actually talk to someone on the phone. I have never seen such bad customer service! I'm finished even trying. Deep Discount will not be getting anymore of my business."

It's difficult to get a hold of a live customer service rep, takes forever on the phone. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra dollar or two to get your item from Amazon."
"I have used this site in the past and I do not remember having any major issues with them like I have this year. I have placed multiple orders with them this year and the items that they have "in stock" are not in stock and it takes forever for them to get in stock. I have had to cancel two orders with them in the last month due to them not having the items, or the items has been discontinued (but they still list the item as in stock.)
I tried to call them today to cancel an order and their phone lines are busy. I try to use their website to cancel the order but it is hanging up and then crashes.
This website/merchant has definitely gone down. I would recommend staying away from this site."
"Deep Discount is apparently having internal difficulties. Well, that's the charitable view. I placed my order for three items, carefully clicked "enter" only once because there seemed to be a long response time. After a pause, a mostly blank screen came up saying there had been a malfunction. I hit the back button and that screen said both that my order had been placed and that it had been declined. Luckily I was smart enough to go back to Deep Discount's website, where I found that not one but two orders had been placed. The items on each were identical but on the first one the total was correct (with the 25% discount) and on the second one the total had gone to the regular prices. I don't want two of each. I did the procedure for canceling the second (wrong) order but their website wouldn't allow it. I called my credit card company and both charges had already appeared. Then called Deep Discount and after being on hold for 40 minutes, I talked with a snotty CSR who may or may not have canceled the erroneous order. And now I have to see whether the product ever arrives, now that I've read others' reviews. If you don't want a huge, dishonest hassle full of malfunctions, don't do business with this company. (My past dealings with them, nearly 4 years ago, had gone fine.)
UPDATE: After this hassle, the products did finally arrive. Not worth it, though. In the package I found a coupon for 25% discount using code HOTSTUFF. I placed 6 items in my shopping cart and applied the coupon code. The prices promptly jumped *UP* 25% !!! This and the previous hassle caused me to abort the second order. I reiterate: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS VENDOR."
