"I bought 5 charms from DI, total price $50. Shipping was available only via Fex Ex rather than USPS to Canada. Duty was an additional $19, so shipping a very small cloth bag with loose unwrapped charms in it cost me more than the items themselves.
The Fed Ex box, containing the bag was 14" x 8" X3", for again, a small bag less than the size of an apple, likely creating the high Fed Ex charge. The cloth bag could have been sent in a bubble envelope at 1/4 the price. I will not order from them again. "

"I just received the item yesterday. Although the price was moderate, I don't believe that the item was worth it. The stones were not very good, the color was too light for a tanzanite. I would have returned it but since it is under $100 I would have had to pay for shipping, which was not worth it. It was on sale and believe me the regular price would not have been worth it."

Since the item would be sent to an address other than the billing address, they asked us to add the other address to our credit union account. It was somewhat of a hassle, but we were glad to see the shop's verification and security efforts.
After that was cleared, we received the item after about two weeks. The day we were going to contact them to get some info about the status of our order, we received a shipment notification, and the item arrived a couple days later. They have a nice selection of jewelry and we're pleased with their service overall."
"Return policies are absurd! Selling damaged goods! DIamonds International sold me a broken watch (900 dollar broken watch), claimed automatic movement would take 36 hours until the watch would work. Never worked, will not accept a return for refund, making me send watch to movado to get it fixed under warranty(6 weeks turnaround, probably much more). Don't expect any customer service from the New York office either, they are not concerned with return customer business. You can easily beat DI's prices online for watches as well. Stay clear."
