"I ORDERED AN ATHLON COMPUTER SYSTEM ON 2/24/02. I CALLED THEM TO GET THE SHIPPING DATE AND THEY TOLD ME ABOUT 3 WEEKS. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO REACH THEM FOR THE LAST 10 DAYS BY PHONE AND BY EMAIL. I USED EVERY NUMBER I COULD FIND AND NO ONE ANSWERED THE PHONE. I LEFT NUMEROUS MESSAGES AND NO ONE HAS RETURNED MY CALLS. I HAVE RECEIVED NO RESPONSES TO THE EMAILS EITHER. I CHECKED THE ORDER STATUS ON THEIR WEB SITE AND IT SAYS ACCEPTED. ALL THEY HAVE ACCEPTED IS MY MONEY. I HAVE SENT A COMPLAINT TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU OF CLEVELAND AND HOPE TO GET A RESPONSE FROM THEM SOON. I AM BEGINNING TO THINK THAT I AM OUT 982.00 SINCE I PAID WITH A MONEY ORDER. I WOULD NOT ENCOURAGE ANYONE TO DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE AT ALL!!!
UPDATE--I GOT IN TOUCH WITH THE ATTORNEY FOR DIGIREX(STEVE DAVIS-***-***-****) HE SAID THAT DIGIREX WAS SHUT DOWN BY THEIR CREDIT CARD COMPANY AND ARE IN THE PROCESS OF LIGUIDATING THEIR ASSETS. HE SAID THAT REFUNDS SHOULD BE OUT BY THE END OF THE MONTH. YEA, RIGHT! WHY SHOULD WE BELIEVE THIS WITH ALL THE LIES WE ARE BEING TOLD. I AM CALLING EVERY NUMBER I CAN FIND, HOPE YOU ALL ARE DOING THE SAME. LETS GET THESE THEIVES PUT IN JAIL! IF ANY ONE HAS ANY NEW INFO, PLEASE POST IT HERE FOR EVERYONE.
UPDATE--I RECEIVED A PHONE FROM DIGIREX TODAY, THE CALLER ID SAID DGZONE BUT THE BOOKKEEPER SAID IT WAS DIGIREX. SHE CALLED TO VERIFY MY ADDRESS AND SAID THAT I WILL RECEIVE MY REFUND IN 2 OR 3 DAYS. 982.00 DID ANYONE ELSE HEAR ANYTHING? "
"You know the more I look into this it seems like there are 30-40 of these hardware companies all in that same small area of Solon Ohio. It looks like there is some kind of franchise or something. I mean, it seems like there is one large wharehouse of products and one big database that everyone shares (probably for a price). For instance there is one guy Vadim Kleyner that has 10-20 different companies with websites that are all selling the same stuff for the same prices. On top of which they are all using the same basic HTML source code. Its like they all get a basic HTML layout when they join up and they are suppose to make it look a bit different by changing some pictures here and there. This is the only thing that I can think of to explain why there are so many of these nearly identical hardware companies located within such a small area. Still it is clear that they all have some relation to each other. Maybe it isn’t a direct relation but there is definitely something strange going on in that State.
What really bothers me is the idea that any of these guys need to have more then one company. I can see having different companies to cater to different groups, like a high end company and a low end company and a large volume company etc, but all of these companies seem to be identical. It just doesn’t make sense why, for instance, United Micro needs to also sell under NewLine PC. We already know that having the ability to set up all of these company names can be easily abused. I mean clearly DigiRex tried to hide under their other company names (DGZone). In any case, how are we suppose to know who the good guys are and who the bad guys are if they are all using the same web source code and are all selling the same stuff and they are all accountable to no one (because they can just change their company name). Like for instance, maybe United Micro is a good honest company, but as far as we know they are just another DigiRex cover name. There just has to be a better way to identify the different groups that might use such a service as this. If I had one (or 20) of these companies I would really like to make sure that people wouldn't be able to confuse me with a truely evil company like DigiRex. I would really push the franchise into setting something up that would make sure that I could be distiguihsed from such bad companies. Heck, I don’t even know if there is a service or franchise or whatever. It is just really fishy. I think I’m going to just avoid Ohio all together for my future computer hardware purchases (at least until they set up some accountability between all of these obviously related companies-whatever that relation may be).
Anyway, if you are going to buy from any online store please make sure that you use a credit card. Also make sure that you are not billed before the product is shipped. This is an old sales trick to run up interest on money while delaying service. When the online store ships you the product double check to make sure that you got what you ordered. For instance, if you ordered a 7200rpm hard drive make sure they didn’t send you a 5400rpm thinking that you wouldn’t open the case. If you are not satisfied with your service contact the online store to get them to resolve it. If they refuse to resolve the situation to your satisfaction then you can easily report them at the following websites:
http://www.bbb.org
You will need to find the site for the DA in the state where the offending company is located but for the Ohio DA it is:
http://www.ag.state.oh.us
Both of these sites have an easy online complaint page that only takes a few seconds to fill out (remember this DA site is only for companies based in Ohio but there are the same types of websites for every state). You can also report them to the FBI and/or to their local police dept. If a company wants to stay in business (without just switching their company name) they will need to resolve these issues or they will lose sales. Even if you never get a satisfactory resolution your small effort to report online abuse will benefit others.

"4/10/02 DGzone is now listed on resellerratings.com. I have listed a warning to prospective buyers incase they try to use the name again.
----------------------------------
**Update** I called the Cleveland BBB to warn them about the new site. They are updating their reports to reflect this. The rep confirmed to me that it was the same site. I gave her this site to follow the progrss. She was very happy to learn about this info.
ALSO: Here is a site everyone must file with. It's the FBI's new internet white collar crime unit. They are interested in getting everyones complaint. The complaint form asks for knowledge of other victims. I refrenced this website so they can check it out. Please, in order to have these people stopped, we need to file with this crime unit. It's called the Internet Fraud Complaint Center (IFCC) The website is: http://www1.ifccfbi.gov/index.asp
Please help me gget these guys arrested!
Ordered a system on 3/2/02. They charged my account on 3/3/02. After calling several times and being lied to, I sent an email and told them to cancel my order and credit my card. They sent a short email to say they were sorry for my troiubles and that the order was cancelled, but no metion od\f a credit. After many emails and phone attemps, I called the local police dept. They said that they had received quite a few calls last week on this company. The officer checked with her Leutenant and I was told that they had gone out of business. They gave me the name of the Attorney handling their affairs. It is Rabb-Davis, Cleveland, OH ***-***-****. I called and spoke with an attorney and was advised to have my credit card company ask for a credit. I was told that they would be able to get a credit from the bank. I'm not sure if I trust the response after the company's shady dealings. I hope this helps everyone else that has been robbed by this company. They were taking our money knowing that they had no intent of delivering the product or refunding our money. Maybe it will take a joint lawsuit to get the money refunded to everyone.
**Update**
I did place a complaint to the Ohio Attorney General's office. I recommend that everyone who was robbed file an on line complaint.
http://www.ag.state.oh.us
Maybe someone will go to jail if they receive enough complaints on the company. I also informed the company that is providing their web domain with this info. I suggested that they check out the digerex since they are providing the web domain that is still being used to rob peoples money."
"I ordered $407.52 of parts on 12/11/01. I got a confirmation and my credit card was charged the same week. By the 20th my order had not yet been filled and I cancelled the order and received confirmation via email from Digirex that it was cancelled. In February 2002 they had not yet refunded the money to Am Ex and I filed a complaint with American Express. As of my last statement in March they had still not refunded the money. (I received a follow up letter from American Express in March saying they had not yet heard from this merchant)"
"Dear User on Reseller Ratings.com
This comment is posted by United Micro Inc.
To clear up any confusion about posts left about a connection between United Micro and DigiRex I would like to state that there never was, have been or ever will be any connection to DigiRex.com or DGZone.
Checking into this you can find located at WWW.BBB.ORG (Better Business Bureau) that United Micro and DigiRex and it’s subsidiaries are completely different and were never connected in any shape or form.
The reason for the post is due to the overwhelming complaint posts, but more importantly individuals are leaving inaccurate information directly attacking our company image. I would appreciate a call from all customers more so than a return email so that we may dig deeper into a
solution. I can be contacted at ***-***-**** EXT. 221 from 10:00AM - 7:00PM EST M-F

"I too was ripped off by Digirex. Thanks for posting your stories on this site. Hopefully, together we can get something done about these crooks. I will be calling "DGZONE", aka "Digirex" as many times as it will take to get my money back. Thanks to the person that posted this new site. It's obvious it's the same bunch. I've also waged complaints to BBB of OH and AG Office. I will also wage a complaint with IFCC. Lets keep after these guys.

UPDATE 4/9/02******
I got through to "DGZONE" aka Digirex and was given the run around and was eventually hung up on. I can't beleive that the street address given has 4 totally different computer companies. I agree that the other sites listed here are the same company. Has anyone heard from law enforcement officials? I've only heard from BBB. "
"I purchased a custom computer that never arrived and no refund was ever issued. "
"I didn't purchase the computer, but my girlfriend did. Needless to say that they ripped her off and I'm trying to help her out. Any info on what to do would greatly be appreciated also if anyone wants to coordinate efforts againest this company I would appreciate it.
UPDATE: They are also ripping people off on E-Bay, imagine that?"
"I have talked to the DA in Ohio, and he said that the money would be returned by the end of April. If the money is not returned, further action, such as a lawsuit might follow. "
"UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE
We finally got our money back on 6-7-02. We had to go through our bank who had to go through VIsa cause it was a check card but we finally got out money.
Ordered parts on the 28th of Feb. waited about a week and a half and received nothing, checked order and was still processing. Emailed them to cancel the order, because we felt this length of time was unacceptable. They called and said we needed to speak with a manager. We called, spoke with a “manager” and were told the order would be cancelled, now a month and countless phone calls later we have still not received our money back. We have called every phone number on their web site and left messages requesting our money back as well as emailed every email address on their web site and have heard nothing. They took the money our of our acct the day after we ordered the parts and as of March 28 we are still waiting on the refund.
UPDATE
Well we filed a complaint with the BBB and received a letter telling us to contact the Credit Card COmpany, which we have so we will eventually get the $1221 back.
We filed a complaint on the IFCC web site hopefully these people will be punished for what they have done to all of us. And we agree that the DGzone web site looks quite familiar"
"I'll throw my hat into the ring.
I ordered a complete system for over $2000 on 2/25. I went through the same stuff most of the others here went through (no phone calls answered, email responses in broken english, lots of "just wait, we'll get you your computer as soon as we can...")
When I asked them to either get me my computer or temporarily refund my card until they could ship, they cancelled my order. They didn't refund my card within the "7 days" they said it would take them, so I called Discover card. I have a temporary credit on my account "pending investigation."
I've also contacted the FBI's and Attorney General's web sites listed below and filed complaints.
I also agree that this "dgzone.com" outfit must be the same company.
What a bunch of fraudulent crooks.

quick update:
both www.digirex.com and www.dgzone.com now have blank front pages. If you still need contact info, you can go directly to www.digirex.com/contact.htm or www.dgzone.com/contact.htm
Anyone seen a third site for these folks?
"
"I have Contacted the DA of Ohio and that FBI page and will be calling some people on Monday"
"we too got ripped off by this company. Have you notice that www.dgzone.com had the exact same site???? We would like to get together a class action lawsuit against these scam artists. If you are interested please email me at:
****@****

"I've already called the new number at "DGZone, Inc." (BTW, their number is 1-***-***-****, if you want to call and harass them like I did.)
I called and pressed "3" for their order department, asked about a system just like I had ordered back in February, and then asked if they could just reference my old Digirex order number and fulfill that order, since it had already been paid for. They guy seemed "confused", telling me that they were not the same company as Digirex. He had no idea who Digirex was, even thought their mailing addresses are the same and the website is the same except for a change of color, and the voice on the voice mail was the same. Then I started mentioning Attorney General's offices of both Ohio and Kansas, the US Army JAG office, Better Business Bureau of Ohio, my personal attorney, etc. All of the sudden, he seemed to "remember" who Digirex was, and that they had closed all of their accounts, and that I should be able to get my money back from my credit card. He asked for my order number, and when I gave it to him, he was entering something in a computer. . .
My God, could this be fraud?? I'm thinking yes.
Oh, BTW, I ordered my system back at the end of February, too. Charged my credit card the very next day. Bastages!!!!"
"Also, as a side note -- an nslookup has revealed the following information for the domain:
Administrative Contact, Billing Contact:
Sikanda, Glenn (GS5636) ****@****
4162 Ruple Road
Cleveland,, OH 44121
***-***-**** (FAX) ***-***-****
I'm going to give it a try as I am at the end of my rope.
