"I ordered a Nikon Coolpix S230 from Digital Hawks online. A couple of days after my online order I received a phone call from one of Digital Hawks people. The man claimed that he did not have a shipping address for my order ( not a big deal but a bunch of crap because I completly filled out the online information.) The man then proceded to try to give me a lesson on batteries and also tried to sell me one. When I informed him that I wasn't interested he ubruptly hung up on me. This call was placed to me on Thanksgiving.
When the order did arrive to my home, I opened the UPS box to find a plain white box with the camera and other cords and such placed inside with only one thin bubble pouch over the camera for safety. When I removed the camera from the bubble wrap pouch I inspected it and found the some crud on the edges of the screen where it had been cleaned by someone. This is not what I was expecting in a " new camera purchase" the item is advertised as new and should be sent in original factory sealed packaging. I called Digital Hawks customer service and all I received was rudeness and excuses. I am writing this review as my only recourse. (EDIT)

Update: After posting this review Digital Hawks called me at home and offered to send me a factory packaged replacement if I would change my review. I agreed to do this and received the replacement after having to spend money shipping the first one back to them.

"I am happy to say I have had a very good first experience with Digital Hawks. I was looking for a Canon SD 1100, and knowing the Model 1200 was already out I was having problems finding anyone carrying the 1100 at a good price. I ordered the 1100 in silver. Shortly after placing my order I received a follow up call about my order and was asked what I wanted out of my camera, where I was informed that a high speed memory card and long life battery would improve the performance. A couple of days later I was informed that Silver was out of stock but they would upgrade me to a model 1200 or a model 790 at no additional cost.
