Communication could be better. We initially tried to cancel the order when a an error on the website said there was a problem. Paypal took the money though, and the next day it was dispatched.

I was worried it was going to be "grey import" crap, say Kiss X4, or Rebel T4i or something. Or that the serial number wouldn't register on Canon's website.

I was pleasantly surprised. Looking at the tracking, it was dispatched from Hong Kong at 7pm Saturday night, and was knocking on my door in Manchester, UK, Tuesday morning.

I opened it, while the CDs and other literature in the box does have some Chinese writing on it, it's also in English primarily and when I turned the camera on for the first time it was in English and asked me to select locality, "London" was preselected.

The serial number registered on Canon's website properly and the camera has the 650D badge on it, so it's for the European market rather than Japan or north america, etc.

The camera has been in use a few days now, and is fantastic, every bit a genuine Canon camera, and a great upgrade from the 550D I had previously.

In all, I was sceptical at first and reviews seemed to be faked, but my experience in summary was that I paid £££s less for exactly the same camera in the high street and it arrived just as quick as if it was shipped from within the UK.
