"I am very dissatisfied with DigitalRev. I have placed an order for a 5D Mark III body on Sept 09 using a Chase Sapphire Credit Card. Next day, I could see the charges are pending on my Chase Account. I called my bank and they told me that charges have been approved and waiting for DigitalRev to proceed with payment. On Sept 12, I contacted DigitalRev why they haven't shipped the camera body yet and they said our risk assessment department still trying to validate delivery address. Next day Sept 13, I received an email from Digital Rev that my order has been cancelled b/c of payment issues which Chase denied and said it's been approved and awaiting DigitalRev to proceed with purchase. Interesting part, DigitalRev asked me if I could send payment via direct bank deposit instead. I told Chase about direct bank deposit to DigitalRev and they told me to be careful b/c this looks like A FISHY CO. Here is what DigitalRev wrote me and make your judgement:
"Regarding your inquiry, we are writing to inform you that your order has been cancelled by our risk assessment due to the reasons we were alerted by our credit card gateway provider there may have been a problem with your payment.
With that, your order has been cancelled and payment will release back to you in several working days. If you would like to proceed with the order still, we would ask if could send payment via direct bank deposit instead.
Sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused.
Thank you for shopping with us. We look forward to hear from you.

"Very pleased with the service and prices from DigitalRev. I ordered a camera, lens and filter for less than the price of the camera alone in the UK.
Ordered on Tuesday afternoon, and expected to see the gear about 10 days later. DigitalRev also contacted me by email to verify my delivery address - I thought this would slow things down further.
I was hugely surprised on the Friday afternoon when the parcel was delivered. Effectively 96 hours later : delivered from the other side of the world.
DigitalRev have answered my questions promptly and sensibly, so I can't fault them there.
Low price. Quick delivery. Helpful and knowledgeable customer service. It's been a 10/10 experience and I will certainly recommend them.
The only downside is that the camera is sourced in Asia, not Europe region, so it doesn't qualify for cashback deals.

"I had great experience ordering from DR. The price was better than anywhere local. I was a little concerned about the manufacturer warranty being void because it is only valid for local purchases in the US, however DR offers their own 1 year warranty, which makes up for it. The products shipped very fast.
Once thing that came of as a surprise for me was that Fedex reached out to me to fill out a customs form FCC 740. It was my first time with this, so had to figure out how to fill the form. It is standard procedure though, the form is to certify if there's any risk of radiations from the product (which is more applicable for radio equipments, cellphones etc and not so much for cameras).
Anyway, with the 1 year limited warranty from DigitalRev and better pricing, I would order stuff from them again, granted the price is significantly better."
