"Ordered 200$ worth of trees. Half came; twigs: DOA. The other half I received a notification I’d receive the rest of the order this spring (a YEAR later). Just received a $75.00 “voucher”, as my order cannot be fulfilled. The voucher says “NO REFUND “. After reading the HORRIBLE reviews I’m tempted to not mess with the voucher and just chalk it up my stupidity for not not investigating this fraudulent company before throwing $200 away! "These guys simply take your money for nothing. They take orders all right but don't ship for months! Last year I waited for nearly 2 months to get the plants I ordered and eventually they arrive completely dry and dead. When I called them they promised to replace them if they don't survive. OK, I planted them. That was a mistake. I should instantly ship them back for the refund. But you don't really see many hypers like that in the States. So. Of course all the dry stuff remained dead. Not a single seed sprouted! This year, early, in the Feb I called them but this time they requested me to send them a paper mail with the replacement request.
I did that. Now, TWO months later, they still sent nothing, they have no idea when they will ship it and they keep promising that if it arrives dead they will replace it.
Bottom line - they are a plain SCAM."
"I placed an order with this company on 4/29/2020 & have complete documentation of transaction.
They have never delivered my shipment & have done nothing other than lie about it from start to finish ever since.
I have contacted these individuals multiple times in regard to my shipment only to receive emails claiming a variety of scenarios..none of which being my shipment is in route with a confirmation number..or that they are refunding my money since they can not deliver shipment as promised.
In fact.. when I told them I either want my shipment or a refund they had the audacity to tell me that I should drive to Bloomington and pick up the shipment myself because they offer "curbside pick up" that being the "quickest option".. & they would "refund the $9.99 standard shipping fee" I was charged.. however I should call ahead if I wanted to do that..which would be quite a feat on my part given the fact that we are talking about an internet catalog business.. and the telephone number listed by them is never responded to or busy each time you attempt to call it.
I told them that is ridiculous and I either want my shipment or a refund and was not interested in driving anyplace.. were I interested in driving anyplace I never would have ordered online in the first place.
Do NOT order from these people under any circumstances.

The same woman who is listed as the owner of this business is also associated with several other businesses none of which apparently offer any type of behavior which can be even remotely construed as customer service.
In fact this business traces back as "House of Wesley Inc." out of Bloomington Illinois via the B.B.B.

"I ordered online and then googled and saw their negative reviews a few mins later (also heard from a friend who ordered last year and received NO PRODUCT AND NO REFUND) so I emailed to immediately cancel my order (following their guidelines for canceling an order within 24 hours via email). They gave me the runaround saying they would forward my email to appropriate person / were closed for one thing or another, or they hadn’t gotten my original emails (I emailed their only listed customer service email address 5 times). I also called several times and always got a busy signal. These people are tricky and dishonest. They charged my card and I now have to dispute the charge. "
"I ordered my plants and within 15 hours I called to cancel the order. They said that they can’t cancel the order over the phone, I have to send them cancellation request via email. I did so. I remember that it said processing time is around 2 weeks. But all on a sudden, 2 days later I received an email that mentioned my order is been shipped. Surprisingly I received my order within very short time. Both of the plants were tiny dried broken sticks with fragile/brittle roots. They came in a plastic bag without any hard box, without any stick to protect the stem from breaking. I thought their plants are comparatively cheaper than others. "They would get a 0 if had could give it. Last year I ordered $500.76 of thyme. When I finally got them, they were black and smelled like mold. I called and they said they were dormant and to plant them. I paid two people to help me plant the 700 plants. Not one lived. I had taken a picture of the shipping label and all the information on the bag as it was raining and I was afraid it wouldn't survive. Of course, it got thrown out but the picture was perfect. When I called them again, they told me to wait until they had a chance to grow. Dead is dead but I waited. When I called and emailed again, they said I had to mail the original label on that nasty bag back. I sent the pictures that were very clear but they refused to give me my money back. Even after I sent pictures originally of how black and dead they were when received. I fought like hell for a year and they finally sent replacements. Guess what? Half were dead but some had green and about 87 were missing. I contacted immediately about the missing and cut the label and all information from the package and kept it. I let them know the condition was not good and how many were missing. A month later they had me mail in the label and a letter requesting replacements for the 87 and told me to wait to see if the thyme grew. It didn't. I got a replacement credit for the 87 missing plants of $53.87 but they refuse to give me the remaining credit so I can actually get something that will live. I am wondering if anything lives they send. DON'T BUY FROM this RIPOFF deceiving company."
"I ordered seed potatoes for $17.97, plus $9.99 shipping, totaling $27.96. They arrived timely but wet and smelly.
I planted the ones I could salvage, and not a single one grew.
I followed their ludicrous rules and returned the shipping label, a copy of my invoice, and a handwritten note. They STILL won't honor the guarantee that is on their website.
Even though their prices are cheap, try to find a more reputable company. I just ordered seed potatoes from Potato Garden. They had some good reviews on "Dave's Garden".

"If you have ever had to deal with any horrible company and thought it was the worst, Direct Gardening company is thousand times worse. They sent me dead plants and when I asked to return, they wanted me to send the original package back and to pay for the return shipping cost. What? I cannot believe that there is a company like this exist in America.
This company not only makes money from products they sell but they also make money from overcharge for shipping. At the end, you will lose money one way or another way. I purchased 24 white strawberry roots; it took them a week to ship the order out and took ten days for me to receive it. The worst thing was all the roots died and the package was a plastic bag. I returned the package by USPS and paid only $4 for two days shipping. So, they made at least $7 to $8 for only the shipping. This is why they love to send dead products. They don't care about their customers, they only care about how to steal your money. They are the scam company.
Please, do not ever ask for the refund if they didn't issue the cost of shipping. You should call your credit cards to dispute it. If there are many people call and dispute transactions. For a long term it will hurt the company for it and you will get the full refund.

"Ordered 10 bareroot hibiscus, 6 daylilies, 2 snowball bushes, glads, & seeds. 1st problem missing hibscus & seeds. 2nd problem everything died, finally got seeds & they didn't even germinate ... total order worthless. Customer service ... nasty, argumentive, unconcerned. Filed claim with BBB, DG lied & told them they'd refund when they told me they would not. Told BBB they wanted original shipping label for refund, I told BBB others sent in original shipping label & NEVER got replacements nor refunds. BBB declared DG was making an honest effort to refund & closed case. Got letter from DG stating they would send replacements, not the refund they told BBB, as soon as they got original shipping label. DG lied to BBB. They lied to me. Had I seen all the negative reviews I'd have NEVER bought from these scammers. BEWARE!"
