"I was looking for some enhanced driving lights for my Civic. I originally ordered the Recon set and the site said they were in stock. I received an email saying the product number was out of stock. So, I called and talked to the sales associate to order something that was in stock.

There are several different wiring sockets for the Civic. I have the H4 socket and the associate ordered and sent the H10 light set, Recon. I immediately knew this when I received them, so I called for a RAN immediately. I returned them by the USPS return label emailed to me.

I reordered a completely different set from a different manufacture of the H4 socket model from discount car lights and received them in a week and a half later. They work well, but it would be a time saver to have accurate information on the website on the product discountcarlights.com offer.

I was charged sales tax on shipping and handling. As far as I know, the state of Ca. has not imposed sales tax on shipping or any kind of handling labor. I asked the phone assistant point blank about this and got the standard bs answer of "We are required to charge sales tax to Ca. residents." I think DCL should get a clarification from the State Board of Equalization and do the right thing. If there is one thing I hate, it is paying tax where no tax is due!"
