"I ordered 4 leotards and 1 costume but what I received was 3 pairs of black pants with my original order receipt listing the items I actually purchased yet it’s was completely different !!!! So mad!!! I swear if they charge me to ship back this was their fault"
"First off let me start out saying I have ordered from this company for years! I have been a loyal customer and recommended all my fellow dance moms to this site for the past 12 years. Last week however I placed an order and for whatever reason It defaulted my shipping address to my old address that I had when 12 years ago when I placed my first order. I didn't even realize they still had that address. When I received confirmation of my order it didn't show the shipping address, it only showed my order # with a message stating the items would ship the next day. Had it put my shipping address on that confirmation I would have spotted it in time to call or cancel the order. The next day I received the shipping confirmation with my old address listed. I called and let the company know that it was shipped to the old address. They claim that bc it was a customer error and not an error on their end, they could do nothing to help me. Nothing! I told them surely items are delivered to the wrong address all the time, and they must be insured to protect against that, where I was once again told that because I was at fault, they would do nothing to fix situation. I have never dealt with such awful customer service in my whole life. I will NEVER order from them again. To anyone who does, be sure you double check your shipping address, bc it can default to a previous address during checkout and you will be screwed out of your money."
"Absolutely terrible experience. I have made order for Christmas 6 weeks in advance. The status of my order was in processing for 3 weeks. I have sent several email and got no reply to any of them. After 4 weeks my order was cancelled. Great Christmas present from Discount Dance. Don't buy from them you will not receive your order. "
"After multiple inquiries as to where my order was, they finally informed me by email that the billing address was incorrect. This was due to their own employee manually entering it wrong. After 2 more weeks wondering where my package was after getting it corrected, I called and they told me it had been returned, as the Post Office could not deliver to that address, which meant it never got corrected, and my package was returned back across the country! They offered NO apology or offer for any credit. Just that I would need to start over and replace the order. She would only offer me free basic shipping if I ordered a new order on the phone right then. Unbelievable. Terrible customer service."
"I have no complaints about the products, but I paid $37 for 2-3 day shipping and it got to me slower than the 3-8 day shipping. When I complained, all they said was "sorry". Don't waste your money on 2-3 day shipping."
"I did not have a bad experience with customer service, delivered quickly, and the character shoes fit well. The only complaint I have is that the shoes smell like they have been painted very recently. So, the smell of the paint is incredibly strong and has stunk up my entire apartment. I’m hoping it’ll wear off in a few days before I need to wear these in close proximities of other people..."
"BEWARE OF ORDERING FROM DISCOUNT DANCE
I ordered a few items from Discount Dance (my first experience with this company). I checked the box stating that items be held until all are in stock. I was also not told at the time of my order that some items were on backorder. So, of course they got the whole thing screwed up. Some items shipped, some are on backorder, coming from China. The customer service rep actually said "Well, what do you want me to do about it?" No help at all. Basically a "screw you" company.
BEWARE: DONT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY if you want quality items delivered as ordered.
And I also noticed that one is unable to post reviews on their website. I wonder if the reviews there are fake, posted by employees. "
"I ordered my daughter's very expensive pointe shoes that she's in desperate need of replacing. I carefully checked to be sure they were in stock before ordering and what the estimated ship time was. All seemed in order so I placed my order. It's now over a week later and I began wondering why I haven't seen a "shipped" email. When I pull up my order confirmation, I notice there's something else in ADDITION to the 3-8 business days estimate included on it. It says my item is in stock, available for shipment, but has been downgraded to Ground Shipping and will take 9-12 WEEKS!!!! Insane! And even though it's still marked "Preparing for shipment" in their system, the order states that they're unable to change (cancel) the order. I have never in all my years of shopping online had shipping changed AFTER I successfully placed an order. And the idea that someone is going to wait 2-3 months for an item that is supposedly in stock is ridiculous! I will be complaining far and wide and letting our dance school know so they can stop recommending them."
"As previously stated by others, terrible customer service in regards to helping you with your issue. I talked to three different representatives, over the span of two days. They got my address wrong, and were saying that they could not stop or change the address on the package. I was able to call UPS and figure out how to stop the package myself at the UPS distribution center. I talked to a UPS representative and they were telling me that they would have been able to stop the package...it is a good thing I called them. The representatives are polite, however not consistent. The first customer service representative I spoke to was nice however was really pressing on the fact that it would take her a day to figure this out and that she would send me an email in the morning the next day with an update. That never happened so I called back the next morning and I finally got helped, albeit they did not solve or really help me with my issue... I had to fix it myself. So nice voices, but that is pretty much it. No substance. "

"I purchased 2 leotards for $7.77 each. The total they charged my card was $28. Someone explain to me how shipping costs $11 for two tiny children’s sized leotards? The sale associate that I talked to online was completely rude and made it seem like everything was my fault, “I’m sorry about the confusion on your end”. I wasn’t even being rude to her, I was asking why it was so expensive. Whatever. I won’t be shopping from this store again. "

"I ordered some kick pants for my daughter from Discount Dance Supply via Amazon. Strangely, there is no way to leave a review for the product, so I’m leaving one here. The product page shows a bunch of photos and there are plenty of colors to choose from, but there is no way to know which color is which when you are ordering. I ordered turquoise and I guess now that maybe I needed teal. But if you click on a color, it does not show you a matching picture so you’re just guessing. And I guessed wrong. Not worth returning them. Sent them a message about changing their product page and showing labeled photos of each color. Maybe they will fix it. If not, good luck. "
