"Update: After I posted the following review, I received an email from Discount Jungle stating that they would refund my shipping charges.
The "new" product I purchased from Discount Jungle arrived clearly used. It was dirty, missing pieces, and did not work. I called and was told I could return it, which I did. After 2 weeks without receiving an exchange, a refund, or any message from the seller, I posted an unfavorable seller review on Amazon on 4/10/11. The next day, Sam from Discount Jungle called me and said that he would send me an exchange, but that he would not send it until I removed the negative review from Amazon. He walked me through all of the steps to remove the review, and told me I had to click on the response that said the seller had resolved the problem. I said that in order
to do so I would have to trust him to send me a brand-new, unopened, working
product. He assured me that he had a brand-new product ready to go, which he
would personally test to make sure it worked. I then removed the negative
review, and Sam said that he would be sending out my exchange that same day, and
I should receive it this week. He said if I had any further problems I should
call him. Today I received an email from Amazon saying that I
was being given a refund of the purchase price only. I immediately called
Discount Jungle and spoke with a woman who said Sam was on the other line. I
told her that I wanted a refund of the shipping charges ($49.57). She told me
that their policy is to not refund the shipping unless there is an exchange
made. I said that I tried to make an exchange, and in fact was told that an
exchange was on its way, but instead I was given a refund. She said that they
did not have a new product available to send me. I am not willing to pay for the
cost to the seller of shipping me a used, broken product. I have filed a complaint with Amazon, and will be placing negative reviews of Discount Jungle on every website I can find. Furthermore, I will not be tricked or pressured into removing my negative reviews until this issue truly is resolved. Bottom line - DO NOT BUY FROM DISCOUNT JUNGLE!
I guess the moral of the story is that these ratings matter."
"I ordered a Kenwood KCA-IP301V iPod Video Direct Cable from Amazon(Discount Jungle. The picture and descriptions were represented as a genuine Kenwood product. What was sent was a cheap counterfeit cable that does not work properly. The product is made to look like the genuine product, but it is clearly not the genuine product. The seller has intentionally committed fraud and passed off counterfeit goods as the genuine article. Discount Jungle claims that the cable was sent in error but refuses to refund any charges until they receive the cable and charge a restocking fee. I am not giving up my evidence of interstate fraud without a refund first."
"DO NOT SHOP HERE! CROOKS! I purchased an item and returned it within a week following all their instructions. Unfortunately, I did not realize until I was doing my taxes that I never received the refund. Luckily I had the FED-EX tracking number and proof it was received by Discount Jungle. Unfortunately since I did not figure out I hadn't gotten the refund until February 2009 and they have stalled until April 30, 2009 they claim they cannot refund me. If you think this is good customer service, go ahead and buy from these criminals."
"BUYER BEWARE! I placed an order for a 12" Alpine Type-R sub on the 15th, got an email the next day that it was backordered and they were cancelling my order. I'd paid through PayPal, but they had never issued a refund, so I called their customer service number. The customer service rep was very rude about the whole deal, claiming they'd never charged my card and refused issue a refund. I tried to explain to her that I'd paid through PayPal and they had indeed already charged me, but because she barely spoke any English, she didn't understand. I eventually had to file a PayPal dispute and a Better Business Bureau claim to get my money back. Will never do business with again!"
"Bought used equipment that didn't work. They paid return shipping. VERY GOOD. Eventually received working equipment. These are good people. Customer service is great. But they appear to be easily deceived by their vendors. If you have the time, they'll make things right."
"I purchased a Yamaha DVD Player from Discount Jungle through Amazon.com.
Two days after paying for the item, Elaine (customer service) from Discount Jungle called me to tell me the model I purchased was not available but offered to send me an upgraded (read more expensive) model free of charge and it would ship that day.
I agreed and the player arrived the next day. This is great service in anyones book.
I recommend this company to anyone. Their prices are great also.
Discount Jungle (and NewEgg) are in Los Angeles and I live in San Diego so I get great shipping times. Usually one day with UPS. The one drawback is sales tax, but I usually get a better deal with these companies even with the tax."
"Super Fast Delivery and Excellent Price for a reconditioned T3. I found this excellent price at Discount Jungle through Amazon and am a happy customer. I ordered this refurbished product on 12/18 and it was delivered to me in "Just Like New" packaging and condition on 12/20. I could not ask for anything more and I will order from this company again!"
"I was surprised that the speakers I ordered came earlier than I expected. I bought a refurb but it was in mint condition when I opened it. I couldnt have found a better deal. I would definitely buy from them again."
"I ordered an Alpine deck, which they listed at a ridiculously good price. They shipped immediately, the deck arrived intact, with all components, and worked perfectly. I'm a little stunned that it was such an easy purchase given how much money I saved."
"The item I ordered was a piece of junk and I e-mailed them and received a RMA# to return the item. I returned the item via USPS on Sept. 22, 2006. On Oct 2, 2006 I e-mailed them to find out if they had received the item back. I got an e-mail stating that they had JUST received it. I find that very hard to believe as LA is only 3 - 31/2 hour drive away from me. They would be crediting my account. I decided to write a review of there company. In the review I stated that the item was a piece of junk and that I would not purchase from this seller again. Shortly after that I got a phone call from a very rude man DEMANDING that I remove my "bad" review or he would not credit my charge card. I told him it was my right to give his company a bad review if I wanted to. He then threatened to keep $30.00 dollars of my refund and said that was his right. What ever you do DO NOT do business with this company. They treat customers like dirt and use threats to get you to remove bad reviews. I am still waiting for my refund and have filed a claim with Amazon.com. Hopefully, I will get my money back. They are crooks who really need to be put out of business. DO NOT SHOP AT DISCOUNT JUNGLE. Getting a great price only guarantees that you will be subjected to verbal abuse if you are not satsitfied with their service. "
"I was a little worry after reading some previous comments but I must say it has been a pleasant experience people on the phone were very polite and professional. I got my brand new speaker overnight at an unbeatable price I'm very satisfied with this merchant will definitely shop there again ++++"
"Shipping is far to expensive....expedited shipping was just plain vanilla UPS ground after I paid a premium. Their price was the lowest however when one add's thier shipping charges be prepared to spend more than full retail!!

"Well I ordered 2 Alpine Subs and a Rockford Amp, both were in stock and would ship out next day, according to there website. I requested next day air and added a comment if the whole order is not availabe to ship out call or email me. Well the next day I had gotten no response from them, until they called me that afternoon to make sure it was me that placed the order, once again I told I need it ASAP. The next day nothing still, I called and asked to check status, she told we that she would call back she needed a manager. I was like ok... She did call back in a half hour to inform me that the amp I requested was no longer available. But another more expensive one was. I was told them I did not want the amp but I still want the subs. They did ship the subs out in time and got them the next day. "
" I had purchased a "Factory-Reconditioned" Yamaha MCR-E150SL Stereo Micro System in November of 2003 from discountjungle.com. My first, and biggest mistake, was not checking this business out with the Better Business Bureau of the Southland. I now know that this business has an unsatisfactory record with the Bureau based upon their complaint history.
While the initial sale went smoothly, my problems began when the CD player failed to operate properly well within the 90-day warranty period. On December 12, 2003 I returned the stereo--which was at my expense by the way (another big mistake: not carefully checking this company's return policy.) They said they would forward the unit to an authorized repair center and it could take 3-4 weeks or possibly longer to have it repaired. Well, to make the long story short, after several months of e-mailing these people for status updates and getting the runaround, I finally had to contact the Better Business Bureau to light a fire under them. I finally got the "repaired" stereo back on September 14, 2004. Within a day or so of receiving the stereo the CD player failed to operate correctly and now it doesn't work at all. Gee, what a surprise. The unit was obviously never serviced and just sat around for several months. My experience dealing with this business was like trying to squeeze blood out of a turnip. The best I can say about this business is "Let the buyer beware!" "
"Total Rip off, so beware. Their prices are low, however... Only after you purchase something will they tell you whether or not product is in stock. They sent me a defective product and getting this item returned is a nightmare. Their customer support is horrible and please note that english is a second or third language with them so good luck. Don't bother asking for a manager, he/she is never there. Not worth the headache. Pay more and buy elsewhere."
