"Divineo really performed well for this order. I've been hearing bad reviews, but they turned out OK.
Here's the timeline:
1. Placed order. Recieved confirmation email. I sent my payment via money order.
2. It took a while for the post office to get the money order there, since they are in Canada. I emailed their customer support asking how long it normally takes and if anything was wrong. They told me not to worry, and sure enough about a day later they recieved payment.
3. My item was in stock and supposed to ship "within 3 days", but it turns out it shipped the next day after they recieved payment. They sent the confirmation with tracking number within 24 hours.
So basically, all their promises were kept. Also, I was able to have a pretty good conversation with support, and they were helpful. Their English is slightly broken, but nowhere near bad and totally understandable.
Overall, I am satisfied. I will update once the product is recieved. Right now though, it's in FedEx's hands.
Oh, the only thing I was dissapointed in is the fact that I had to chose FedEx Express for this particular order, and that they said it usually comes overnight, which is not true. But, they didn't claim "FedEx Overnight", they clearly stated that it was FedEx Express. Also, it was the shipping I would have chosen anyway.
Oh, and there's no online order status. After you make order, you can't really check it on the web site. However, they send all the emails necessary and their support is good."
"This was an order for an HD Combo (which I received). However, the unit was WHITE, and not BLACK. I was not even sent an email to confirm my color choice, just sent wrong one. Why would they even send a white one? I've never even seen a white PS2 in the US!
I asked their customer support if I could exchange the unit, but they would not do so without charging me a return fee, even though the unit was unopened.
I will not be doing business with them in the future."
"I ordered a XG2 Turbo 512 Flash cart from Divineo.com for 96.74 including shipping (the product without shipping is 79.99) on 12/5/2005 at 6:25est the product was suppose to ship on 12/6/2005 (24 hour) but did not ship until 12/7/2005. The product arrived on 12/9/2005 due to problems with the post office, I spent all day trying to get the product to function with my computer, I contacted the manufacturer's support forum/website/email etc and they recommended that I try it without the USB extension cord that came with the product. After removing the USB extension cord I was able to get my computer to recognize the product however several features of the product still did not function correctly and after a few uses the product would no longer be recognized by my computer and I would have to format the flash cart (the product) losing any information I put on it and having to start over.
On 12/9/2005 I contacted them telling them about the problems I was experiencing and asked if I could get a refund. They responded by telling me to send it back and to state the custom declaration value as 6 dollars since its a defective/return product and that they would give me store credit. Store credit is not an option listed on their website’s return policy, not to mention the product I ordered is no longer in stock and still to this day is not in stock. Their return policy states "In case the product is no longer in stock, you will have three choices: We reimburse you the product price, or we replace it when new stocks are available, or we replace it with a similar product of your choice" I contacted them requesting that I did not want a store credit that I just wanted my money back. I sent multiple e-mails to them and each time no response finally on 12/14/05 I told them I was going to do a chargeback and in less than 2 hours I received a response "We'll give you a refund when we get the item back"
I rushed over to UPS to send it via a TRACKABLE method as I certainly did not trust this company one bit. The tracking number is 1Z4AR9826800147621 you can probably still punch it up on the UPS website. I shipped the product that same day 12/14/05 and included the phone number divineo gave me which was 1-***-***-**** weeks passed and the package still has not reached Divineo. I contacted UPS on 12/31/05 and they informed me that customs was having problems contacting them at the phone number they provided. I called the phone number myself to check and it was just a voice mail saying "Hello! You've reached the Divineo store if you are calling for customer support please send us a email instead if you’re calling from FedEx ups dhl or any other courier like this please check in your file and you should be able to find another phone number uh because we don't check this voicemail often." I then contacted Divineo again informing them that customs are having problems contacting them they responded with "The phone number is good, ( I am not sure what is the problem)" I contacted UPS again and they assured me they have no other phone number on file. They even sent divineo a post card and still no response.
On 1/3/2006 I sent them another e-mail telling them that I was going to process the chargeback since they seemed to be refusing to contact customs to provide them with the brokerage information necessary to release the package for shipment (You see businesses sending and receiving packages need to provide this information before a package leaves/enters Canada, or at least that’s how I understood it when UPS explained it to me) I even provided the phone number for them to call along with the direct extension. On 1/6/2006 I contacted UPS again to see if they heard anything yet UPS informed me that they have received no response from divineo and will send my package back on 1/10/2006. The day before the product would have started the return process Divineo finally supplied the needed information and the product was delivered to them on 1/11/06 Divineo then refunded me 67.97 which is roughly 15% less than 79.99 which is the amount that they should have refunded (I didn't expect them to refund the 16.75 shipping fee) but I certainly expected the full 79.99 amount refunded. The Divineo website states that if the product is not defective that they will take a 15% restocking fee but the product was infact defective. I have made attempts to contact Divineo and they are no longer responding to my e-mails.

"I made a purchase from this Co. and also had to make address change after the sale. So I emailed them soon as I saw the discrpency.(About 5min after the email conformation)Emailed then to make the change, and still received my order with in 3 days. Very happy with service and attention to post sales detail. Would recomend them. Its too bad other people had problems them. Id say, order from them. If you dont get your order make a clame to your credit card co. nothing is lost.(But time). I can only speek from my experience, and I would, and will order from them again."
"Who in the modding scene doesn't know the famous Divineo? Well, I hoped that they would live up to their name, and they did. They shipped my order in 3 days, what it said on their site. When I e-mailed them, they replied the next day. I have yet to recieve my package, but that is the job of the parcel service, not Divineo. Will buy here again if I need more modding supplies."
"Purchased from this seller before reading the reviews. I was a little worried, but I had no troubles. Item arrived on time and in good shape. When I had questions for support on the order they got back to me in under 12 hours.
Overall I had a great transaction and have just ordered another chip from them. "
"Ordered a chip from them on the 29 nov, got it today (1 dec) very fast and compitent. Only slightly dismayed by their high shipping costs."
"As noted in reviews below, there's no to see my order status, even if logged in. And no way to contact them except by email. This worried me somewhat, but I placed the order one morning and the next morning my order arrived at 10:04AM
I never received a tracking number, but that's acceptable because I received the package before the tracking number would have been activated on their website.
While the lack of communication is unnerving, I would buy from Divineo again as they have good prices and great shipping."
"I don't have an invoice or order # because I never got the confirmation email. In their website there's NO WAY to see my order status, even if logged in. NO WAY to cancel. NO SUPPORT WHATSOEVER if not by email (not even a phone #, pitiful service). I emailed several times, only got a response for 1 of the emails, and after a couple of replies to that, I never got a further response.
Like I said, I never got any kind of number, or confirmation (they said I would get it within an hour of ordering) aside from the confirmation page I got after the order was placed, which I can't access anymore. In one of the emails the "manager" said they didn't have a record of my email or my order, nor my address on record, which I regrettably had to tell them again (now I wish I didn't since I am disputing charges).
My card was charged on 8/29, the ONLY customer support is by email (and it's horrible, have to wait for days, that's if the "manager" EVER responds), I still have got nothing on the mail (paid for one day mail or something like that--the cheaper one). They "say" they don't have any records of my transaction or email, AND YET I can login to their website using the email address I registered when ordering and the account created during that transaction. So there's no way I was a victim of some phishing stunt (if anyone even bothered to duplicate this pitiful company's website). And I am much more knowledgeable than to simply get phished.
Well, as I said before, I am disputing charges, I have no intention to wait for a MONTH for a package stated in their website that would be delivered in 1 business day. Maybe 2 or 3 days would be reasonable. I have waited about 2 weeks, and haven't even received an order #, and have been told by the "manager" that they have no record of my transaction, nor my name, nor my address. And my card has been charged for the full amount. Not only the amount was held, but it was fully charged. Now I got to go through the hassle of changing my card # and disputing charges.
Never doing business with this company again of course."
"I had the same thing happened to me, Crooked(username) but i recieved my xeucter 3 on Thursday morning which is exactly one week after i ordered it over night shipping... i do not recommend them for lack of customer support or on time packaging and feedback. Go somewhere else if u are looking for modchips. I was lucky"
"I placed an order with www.divineo.com on 7/12/05. It was done by "FedEx Express-Overnight" shipping.
I'm thinking the order will get to my residence around wednesday or the latest thursday or friday. It's now mondy (As we can see) and no "goods" or tracking #. I also sent them 3 emails and my friend had sent them 2 emails. They replied to the first one stating: "They had problems with fedex express system over the weekend( I didn't order over the weekend) and their employees are on vacation.??????? They didn't give any type of status on the order. Just stated they're trying to resolve the issue ASAP. "
"ordered a xbit 1.5 w/ 1.6 adapter.
6/10 (late friday night)
6/13 (monday) got an email that they shipped
6/21 received package
the packaged was postmarked from canada 6/13, so they did ship on the day they said.
problem (small, but still):
didn't include the washer under the chip (fixed easily with foam tape)
in the end, divineo was the cheapest, the chip works great, bios flashed easily; packing was a standard/thin bubble envelope.
for MY transaction, i'd say i'm happy with divineo. i found all the bad reviews on xbox-scene AFTER i put the order in, so i was afraid i would get screwed too, but i got lucky.
would i buy from them next time?
if i didn't know about all the bad reviews, i would order from them again in a heartbeat.
but no, i would pay the $5-10 more just for peace of mind."
"Very impressed with the service offered at Divineo. The pricing was very competitive, my order was shipped the next day after the order, and customer service was very fast and courteous in fixing a mistake I made in the shipping address. Highly recommended."
"Ordered a viper, bit, and gc case mod tuesday, had it friday morning. will buy from again, I had a smooth transaction."
"I placed my order without taking the time to read over the shipping faqs. When I found out there was no tracking number for the cheapest shipping method, I was a bit concerned. I emailed for customer support asking about the tracking number and was pointed to the shipping faqs. There, I read that it normally takes a month to receive a package from them on the West Coast of the U.S. where I reside. At this point, I was extremely worried that something was fishy and that I would not receive my merchandise, so I emailed their customer support again. I was told that even though there was no tracking number for my item, if it did not arrive within 7 weeks, CanadaPost could trace it. I expressed my concern over the situation through email once more and was greeted with nothing but courtesy and reassurance.
Well, I checked my mail on Monday, May 15th and there was my eagerly awaited package. It was not 7 weeks later! On the contrary, it had taken only 1 week to get to me! I have to say that although they do not control the post office in Canada or any other country, their customer service was superb. I did not detect even a hint of aggravation towards me in their kind words. The bottom line to this long drawn out story is that I am utterly impressed by the prompt responses I received to my emails and the measures taken to assure me that I am a valued customer.
Thank you Divineo.com!
P.S. My chip is installed and works like a charm!"
