"I don't understand the negatives. This is the first time I ordered from them, 4 bags fromm puppy food, everything went well. I received the food in two days. I even called them to request the status. The lady answered the call was polite. Very happy with the experience."
"Everything went well with my orders. Unfortunately I decided not to do any further business with them. They won't reply to my e-mails requesting to not receive their newsletter. I changed the settings in my account and that made no difference. I could not reach them by telephone. They have very unprofessional business practices."
"Doggiefood.com has been my place to buy food for years. I have two dogs that have gone through so many different foods. The owner and staff have always been there to answer a question. I've had a few bumps in the road with some items not being in stock, but they send a note inside saying the rest will ship. For a small company they do a great job. I'd rather give my money to a small family owned company to a Megastore anytime."
"Miserable company. They only sent me my order one month after the purchase date because I complained to the Better Business Bureau about them. I had ordered a 12 lb bag of kibble, they sent me a 4 lb bag with a note stating they owed me 8 lbs. They were out of another item in the order and substituted without my approval. Another item was smashed and past the expiration date by 6 months. Their customer service is non existence and their website stated they had every item in stock which was not the case. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY.
The company refunded my money. I would not order from them again."
"Same deal as most of the others: Ordered 2 things that were on the website. Got a fed ex shipment notification, but no delivery date. 15 days later called and found out they were unavailable. The customer service over phone was good and the person I spoke to said they'd refund me. "
"Used to order from them often, everything went under after their website redesigned, the owner seems conducting different rule of practice now, customer service is joke, e-mail no responding, multiple voice message no returning call, finally chase down to talk to Tony the owner and he got the real unscrupulous tone, in the way of "you bought the farm"--Let the buyer be aware, all have to say. Price went up, Slow shipping (order placed to wait almost a week to ship out) and horrible customer service. Never give them business again."
"I was a long time customer of Doggiefood.com. The customer service is terrible. Don't expect a reply to your email's if ever. Sometimes they never answer the phone.
In the end it was the lady that always answers the phone, she was so rude. Than Tony had to top it off by lying to me.
They treat there customers like dirt.
I also do agree with others that the prices have gone up.
If I could make a review for this company a minus 100 stars I would.
My recommendation, look elsewhere.
My overall rating minus 100"
"So they had a good price on dog food. I ordered, but big mistake. A shipping label was made out, but apparently package never received by FedEx. I called twice-once I was promised a return call re: status and another time received a voicemailbox that was "full". Finally got ahold of some girl, and told her to cancel the order as I had ordered elsewhere-a week after this ordered was placed with doggiefood, never received and no info from them. FedEx said it was never received by them and only a label was generated.
They put me on the phone with Tony, the owner. What a horrendous attitude. Told him that I wanted to cancel the order, already bought elsewhere. He told me that I could NOT cancel an order-you ordered it and its yours. Told me he would check into it and get back to me. Of course, that was a lie. Food was received several days later. I disputed the charge with AMex, and he asked that I don't do that, as it is "a lot of trouble for him"
The food was fine, but you can get the same pricing and much better shipping and infinitely better customer service from others. I will never order from them again. Customer NO service at its finest. "
"DoggieFood.com really is the best. We save hundreds of dollars a year shopping here and we have been shopping with DoggieFood.com for years. The shipping and return policies are all posted online and because they are shipping heavy food at a discounted price it makes sense that shippings costs should be paid for by the customer if they decide they do not want what they ordered.
I guess I agree with the other positive review that they are great. Just make sure you order what you want and do not expect them to ship 50 pounds of food to you at a great price and expect them to pick up the shipping to you and back without some sort of restocking fee... I wanted to write this review because I believe that Doggiefood.com is great company and all the negative reviews must be from competitors or from people that feel entitled. I just hope DoggieFood.com keeps prices low and return policies for customer mistakes and or change of mind strict. So customers like me who know what they want can continue to save money."
"Just recently I placed an order from Doggiefood.com and I paid over 174.00 for this order. My husband was upset at the cost of the order, so before I ever opened the box I contacted doggiefood.com to ask about their return policy. The response I received is listed below:
You will be refunded what you paid for the product less a 15% restocking fee and less the actual fedex shipping charge to send the package to you. Please place a copy of this email in the package as authorization if you indeed send it back.
I never saw this disclaimer on their website that there would be a 15% restocking fee if I returned any items. I responded back to Mr. Castellucci regarding his response and asked why he didnt have a disclaimer on his website. He never responded.
I would never order another thing from Doggiefood.com. I want other unsuspecting buyers to beaware of doggiefood's restocking fee if you have a need to return an item. It should be against the law for this disclaimer not to be on their website.

"First, I am shocked at all of the negative reviews. I have been using doggiefood.com for about 2.5 years and order on average about twice a month spending $200-$225 a month. They have the best prices on the internet most of the time and normally ship within 2 days. I have to be honest and say that twice in a 2.5 year time frame they have shipped a different flavor than what I ordered and I contacted them and they responded immediately by shipping the correct item and sending a postage paid pick-up for the incorrect item.
I save a LOT of money on the Wellness brand of dog and cat food in dry and canned vs. my local pet stores that carry it and appreciate the delivery to my door, which saves my time, my back and my bank account.
After dealing with them all of this time I have a hard time believing all of the negative reviews. For the person that said her dogs "got sick from the food", you should have called the manufacturer of the food, there is an 800 number on the package and I assure you they would have taken care of your problem. If everyone that was not satisfied with a product or that changed their mind expected doggiefood.com to pick it up they would not be in business very long with the cost of FedEx shipping, plus most shipping to your home is free and you don't pay tax. And like I mentioned above, if it is their mistake they will certainly take care of it.

"I have to agree with all of the negative reviews here. We used to use this guy when he first got started, but the customer service (simply rude and unwilling to help - period) was so bad, I was willing to pay more not to use them. Since that time, just noticed his prices are through the roof (have crept and crept and crept consistently). Check any of the items you are buying before you "reorder". My one item we used consistently went from $305.99 to $425.00 (and other products increased by the same ridiculous percentage). Perhaps he hasn't heard about the economy yet or is just gouging to make up for decreasing sales. I don't know, but this is someone I refuse to deal with because his service is that bad."
"The one-star and five-star ratings of this vendor make perfect sense to me. IF they have your product, they have it for a good price and they ship it promptly. BUT IF THEY DON'T HAVE THE PRODUCT YOU ORDERED, they bill your card anyway and send you an email saying your product has shipped. When you go to UPS to see when it will arrive, you learn a shipping label has been created, but, of course, UPS does not have the product because the seller doesn't have it to ship. This has happened to me twice, so I know it's not a fluke. One of their shipments was supposed to include both kibble and (expensive) dehydrated beef liver. Instead I received some other treats in the package. When I called to complain "Gerry" acknowledged that they were out of beef liver and credited my card. I won't order from them again. First, they don't inform you, as many other sites do, that an item is backordered. Second, they charge your credit card before they ship. Third, they send you an email saying your product has shipped when all they have done is create a shipping label. Fourth, they don't correct any of this unless you call them and complain. THEN, surprisingly, they credit your card. It's not worth the small savings to hassle with them anymore. "
"I found resellerratings AFTER I placed an order with DoggieFood.com - so I was sweating the whole time while I was waiting for my order, but my experience was EXCELLENT! I placed my order yeaterday and received 3 UPS confirmations that my package was in transit - and it was delivered TODAY! I received exactly what I ordered. I even received a quick reply to my email to customer service inquiring about when my order would ship (I was worried). By the previous reviews here I thought maybe the business had been adversely affected by November's storms. But the service and value I received were better than I've experienced anywhere on the web. "
"Stay away! Today is the 16th day since I placed the order and am still waiting for it. The tracking number states that UPS is waiting for the arrival of the package. 2 emails and 1 voicemail to Tony in Customer Service about the status still have not been returned. Today,12/11/2012,I phoned again and was told that the package was shipped on 12/03/2012,and I was told on 12/07/2012 that my package would arrive at UPS to be shipped that very day. Different stories from different agents or no responses is what I get from these people.
FOLLOW-UP: Immediately before posting the above review I also filed a complaint with the BBB. About 1 hour later I received a call from Tony (Customer Service) saying Doggiefood.com would re-ship my order if UPS could not find it. He said it had been sent to UPS on 12/03/2012. I then called BBB and asked them not to send out the complaint, but it was too late. BBB had already sent it to, I assume, Tony in Customer Service. I strongly suspect Tony called me after receiving the complaint. All you who are having trouble with Doggiefood.com, file a complaint with BBB, and maybe you will get a call from Tony within the hour. It worked for me. Good luck to you."
