"My story with Dragon.CA began around 2 years ago. I found them using GameSpot's "MySimon" search engine. I bought MANY games through their web site because they ususally had really low prices compared to other retailers, and they had "oldies" that could hardly be found anywhere else. I never had any technical difficulties with them, and nor with their products. Sadly, they disappeared around February/March after they have massively sold almost all the items they had in stock, at 50% discount, and never have I heard of them since. I guess they went out of business or simply had enough of the gameing market, who knows...I am sorry that this shop does not exist anymore, I really liked to shop there."
"Ordered NeverWinter Nights from Dragon.CA, they offered it at $29 US which was a GREAT price, however :( they actually charged $40 US and when the package arrived it was a USED copy, not NEW as their website indicated, and the CDKEY is -BANNED- from gamespy and the Neverwinter network, so this is useless for what it was purchased for.
I contacted them for a RMA # so I could return it and they could send me a GOOD copy or refund my $. they never responded with a RMA number and now it seems like they have disappeared, their website has been replaced with 1 page saying that they plan to be back up and selling after their 'clearance' sale on feb 5th. that was a month ago and no sign of them yet. all the email addresses that I've tried bounce with "final recipient ****@**** does not exist" errors.
As far as I can tell, they're just a bunch of scam artists."
"Great price. Currently 30% off the already lowest price on the net. "
"Here's my story about my recent purchase at Dragon.ca.
1)I bought Unreal Tournament 2003 on Dragon.ca's website in the morning around 10am.
2) I found a cheaper price locally and requested a CANCEL on my order at 1:54pm (4 hours after placing order).
3) I receive a SHIPPING confirmation at 5:32pm.
4) I receive an email from their customer service 10:31am the FOLLOWING day saying that they could not cancel my order.
Now if you follow the sequence above, I sent the CANCEL request well before it was shipped but Dragon.ca still shipped the product.
If the price difference between my two sources were greater, I'd take this to my credit card company and refute any charges, but it's not worth it since it's only a $2 difference.
But don't expect a fast customer service response or having a cancellation request executed prior to shipping. It's also a pain that all customer service correspondence is done through web-forms or email. This is REALLY BAD if you're dealing with a time critical issue like me.
All in all, very poor customer service and slow responses. However, they do have fast order-fulfillment with decent prices. "
"One of my favorite sites to order games from. Pretty much any PC game I purchase other than at a retail location is from dragon. Great prices if you don't mind that the cheap shipping is slow (but not quite as slow as they indicate on site). My only advice on this site is to NEVER pre-order from them as the pre-order prices are usually NOT as good as retail prices on the day the game is out and you'll be waiting the 1-2 weeks for the game. For instance, Black and White: Creature Isle cost me $16 USD extra and I had to wait an extra week. For the games that have been out for 1-6 months the prices are great."
"Have had generally good experiences from this company. Beware, though, the US$ amounts listed on the site are frequently inaccurate. For example, $67.95 CDN is not $39.95 USD as dragon.ca implies, but instead $44.64 USD by current exchange rates. The deal you are getting may not be as good as you thought. However, as long as you calculate the true US cost and not rely on their site's translation, you will probably be ok and have a good experience."
"They have very good prices and shipping rates, so I ordered 5 games from them. However, I had some trouble with my order, and ended up cancelling it. Service was excellent, and I had no problems with them."
"I bought Max Payne from this company. The pricing was fair and I received what I ordered.
Still, I found a better price at gogamer.com (used to be compuexpert.com) I will probably do more shopping there. "
"Very disappointed with Dragon.CA. Prices were good, shipping charges good. However, no customer service at all. Ordered a game disc, took 2 weeks to arrive, no problem. However, they sent the wrong disc (the invoice was correct but package contained a different disk). Took FIVE days to get a response for an exchange, took another FIVE days to get an RMA number. Returned disk three weeks ago and haven't heard from them since. I would stay away from this company."
