"The experience has been great, it’s been a tough transition because we have less interaction with the caretakers than in a non-pandemic world so I don’t get as much of a sense of my son’s relationship with the teachers besides what I can see on camera or in pictures. When he goes through transitions - from 2 to 1 nap, or bottle to sippy - it’s been hard because I don’t get the full picture and may not do the same if he was home, but the communication has been improving."

"I recall the anxiety we faced dropping off our 6 month old baby (our first) at Everbrook on her first day last year. But we need not have worried because the care and love that the principal (Ms Lynn) and her entire teaching staff have shown our child has been astounding. We are frequently glued to the video feed and can see that the teachers show genuine affection to all children. In addition, the social interaction with other children combined with learning facilities (painting etc) have helped our daughter develop very fast. She is happy, confident, excited and engaged. She even took her first steps at the school, which the teachers filmed for our benefit. We entrusted our child to Everbrook and after 6 months have only great things to say. It was a great decision to send our daughter here and we look forward to a few more years in their care."

"I think the teachers are great, but there is uncharacteristically high turnover of the teachers here. We need to do more to provide the teachers support so that they're more satisfied with their jobs here. They shouldn't be made to wait an hour to use the bathroom. They should be provided with the age-appropriate supplies they request for their classrooms."

"the teachers are amazing, you can tell they care about the children. it concerns many of us as there is a high turn over rate of teachers and when we speak to them about why they are leaving we are told because they feel the admin does not respect them and they have to wait long hours to use the restroom when the request it. this is concerning... there has been a high turnover also with the principal which is concerning"

"It’s been pleasant and have enjoyed the good communication with updates from the teacher - pictures and videos. I’d like to know more about the curriculum on a daily basis - ie what they worked on that day - alphabet, colors, numbers, science, etc. And I wish protein could be added to breakfast as every day it’s just carbs - waffle, cereal, biscuit, pancake etc. I have to give her protein in the morning before going to school."

"There is a high staff turnover. I don't know the current administrator well but she just started. She is the 8th or 9th administrator I have met since my older child started this school. There is frequent turnover in the teachers as well."

"Different classrooms have had different pluses and minuses but overall we have had a positive experience. The kids should be wearing bibs even in toddler 1 and 2. Further, breakfast and snacks are frequently lacking and at times breakfast has no hot food. We shouldn’t be paying so much for them to be given Cheerios."

"Overall very positive. We feel he is well taken care of and nurtured. We absolutely LOVE our child’s current two primary teachers, but are worried about what happens when he switches classes (or, like with most of the qualified teachers, when they resign). Most of the other staff are ‘helpers’ and not certified teachers, and it is obvious in their handling of the kids and how they communicate. As our child gets older, we want good quality teachers. We want kindergarten readiness. The school currently, and for some time now, has had extremely unstable leadership, which is very concerning. Any concerns we have go to the school secretary because there is essentially no one else (the Acting Director doesn’t have the credentials and truthfully seems clueless all the time). Not sure this is the environment we will want to continue with for preschool. For now it’s working and we’re happy because we adore his two main teachers so much, but who knows where we’ll stand when they leave."

"Very good. We are generally -very- happy to be at Everbrook. Any review of this particular school should take into account that it is in Manhattan, and that the care and preparation of a child to move forward is profoundly more complex and difficult."

"overall its been great. The only concern, and this has been mostly in the last 6 months is turnover. Too many changes almost always mean a drop in quality."
