"I have used The Estarland website repeatedly over the past couple of years to both trade-in games for credit and purchase new and used games. I have never had a significant problem with them in all that time and any minor issue I've had was dealt with in a satisfactory manner by the staff at the website. I would also like to say that normally I don't buy used games online as it can be something of a crap shoot as to whether the game will come in the advertised condition, but all the used games I've have purchased from Estarland have come in practically brand new condition and played perfectly. I recommend this site to anyone who has used games they want to unload for a reasonable amount of store credit with efficient customer service and quick shipping."

"Great site for buying and trading in video games, but MAKE SURE YOUR TRADE-IN VALUES ARE CORRECT! I've been a customer here for over 5 years and I've spent over $1,000 here (most of it being credit from my own trade-ins), and I've recently noticed that some of the games I've traded in didn't receive the amount quoted on the trade-in page for that game. For example, I traded in a game worth $1.85, but only received $1.19 for it in my cart. I sent an email to estarland nearly 4 days ago but I haven't heard back from them at all. I realize it's less than a dollar, but I encountered this issue with another game I traded in too. That was also a small difference, but I only traded in ten games or so in my most recent trade-in, and two of them had incorrect values in my cart. 20% is an exceedingly high amount of games with incorrect trade-in values. I realize this is a very small sample size, but it's still alarming, and now I wonder if I've been shorted before and just didn't realize it.

Bottom line: Best place to trade in your games period when you get the values you're supposed to, and great place to buy games too. However, their customer service can be really lacking (they can be really hard to get a hold of) and their site has some glitches you should watch out for.

UPDATE: 8/15/2012

I received a reply to email and got everything sorted out. Apparently, trade-in credit for a game is also affected by how many copies of the game they currently have. I didn't see this mentioned anywhere on their site (not on the games' individual trade-in pages and not in their trade-in Q&A page, either), so that's something to pay attention to. Overall, I'm happy with my order and will shop at eStarland again."
