"I had a need for a USB SATA external encolsure for me hard drive and so I decided to give Eaglebit a try. After reading some reviews here, I took the plunge and ordered. They had a great price on the product and also a rebate offer and free shipping! I had placed my order on a Friday evening and the item had already shipped by Monday by Fedex Ground. Thus, fast shipping and great service by these guys! Also, customer service was great. They were quick to respond wih emails. I definetly recommend this store to everyone. Five Stars!"

"orderd part 8\30\2007 also orderd 3 other parts from 3 otther stores all have shipped and tracking info was sent ...these people have not sent anything and all the web site is telling me is pending i cant even stop the order .....then i find this.....Complaint ? Negative Feedback? Not Satisfied?

..thats funny to me...if thay dont want bad feedback then run your company the right way...i would be out of a job if i ran my company like this...the bad part is i like there prices but cant deal with not knowing anything...need to pit real time inventory for parts i am starting to think thay did not even have my part...the only think i can say is...{newegg.com}

"Shipped the wrong case, requested RMA, sent waited 11 days for replacement.
First order was sent really fast 2 days but it was wrong, Informed customer service that I had a deadline to have this by and they made no attempt to work with me. Just said sorry and they will send the new one after they get the other back. Finally got the correct case only to find had been opened and had minor imperfections, scratches, and hand marks slight dent. (Nothing great but will not be buying again)

My recommendation is tread lightly and DO NOT subscribe to their newsletter. It does not matter how many times you ask to be removed they never do it.

"I ordered 250GB external hard drive from this company 5 months ago to back up data for my business.

I usually buy from newegg but thought I would give this a try - it turned out to be a mistake. When I turned on the drive today, a error green/red LED was flashing. Since the drive contains our customer's sensitive personal information, the drive platters can not be mailed out for RMA.
This vendor does not allow you to mail back the hard drive cover for RMA, unlike all the other vendors I have bought from. Therefore, I can not return the drive which contains sensitive information of our customers.

UPDATE: Today, I opened the external drive casing, and found the was labelled drive as a "Repaired HDD". What a scam! This may explain the HD dying so quickly.

I've combed through the product page, and there is no mention that this is a refurbished or repaired drive. I'm contacting my credit card company to get a chargeback on this product.

Other than this, the prices are good, customer service reponds quickly, but the drives are very loud.

"I ordered a Yamada Optical Mouse from Eaglebit on June 21, 2007. I received the mouse promptly and everything was fine with it. The mouse I bought was free after a $29.99 rebate. For the rebate I made all the copies, cut the upc, and mailed it off. One month later my rebate still does not show up on the online rebate status on their website. I have sent 2 emails requesting the status of the rebate. I only get automated responses with no specific detail. I have tried calling the 877 number listed on their website and get no answer. I agree with another poster on this site that said "This seems to be another rebate scam ..... Be very very careful purchasing from this company."

Update:
After I posted on this site I was contacted almost immediately by EagleBit. From that point on they were responsive to my emails and I received my rebate check today within the 12 weeks they say to allow. My biggest complaint is that the online rebate status on their website never worked. I had to get updates on my rebate status via email once they started responding to me. This is too much work to go through for a rebate.

"This company seems to offer a lot of rebates on products, which if you fill out completely and correctly, will get you your money back. However, keep in mind that they jack up the prices of the items which have rebates. Example: I bought a mouse for $29.99 with free shipping and a $29.99 rebate, but that same mouse in a different color was only $2.99; Eaglebit is banking on people making mistakes with their rebates."

"Ordered 2 items: External Flash Memory Card Reader and HD enclosure. Never received my rebates for any of the items. E-mailed customer service 5 times and got no response. Faxed them all the copies- and was still denied the rebates. Horrible company. Avoid.


Edit: After I wrote this review, I was promptly contacted by eaglebit.com (Which is interesting because they have been ignoring me for the past week). They were courteous enough to validate my rebates.

"Scam store. They are saying that they have the product in stock, but they don't have it. After awhile they will send an email asking to wait until they'll have the product in stock.
They have free shipping if you spend more then $19.9. If your order has more products and you don't want to wait until they'll have the product in stock, and cancel that product, be prepared to pay the shipping for the other products.

"Ordered a sidewinders case with $30 rebate. Rebate form said include the invoice. Rebate was denied stating that I was to rather include the packing slip. Rebate form did not state this. I have copies of everything. Was asked to fax this info - and was still denied. Will never order from this company again. It seems it is hopeless to get this money. I will be filing with the FTC and BBB as my next step. Very disappointed in this company. If they are not honoring rebates, they should not advertise themm!"

First of all, customer provided a incorrect address when place the order. That's the main reason cause package delayed.

Customer have to understand shipper have limited control once the package leave our location. But we did the best help customer contact FedEx for redirect package to right location.

I just want to respond to this. The address was not incorrectly provided. I double checked when I finally received the package. My house number is 880. Fedex delivered it to 830 on the same street. The reason it was incorrectly delivered is simply human error. The location ended up being a business where my package was somehow misplaced by the employee who signed for it. That is what took about a week to get resolved. I would have told Eaglebit this information had they bothered to follow up on if I received my product.

And let me reiterate, that I do not blame Eaglebit for my package being delivered to the wrong location, nor should Eaglebit be blaming me for it. I did not provide a wrong address. Sometimes packages do get delivered to the wrong location and this is just one of those times.

I just have an issue with the way Eaglebit resolved this issue. I understand shipper has limited control once the package leaves the facility, but shipper DOES HAVE enough control to find out where the package was delivered to and to tell fedex to resolve the error themselves.

Again... it is the seller's responsibility to MAKE SURE the product is delivered to the correct location. Even if the error is the fault of fedex, the seller should at least try to resolve the issue themselves.

Telling the buyer to resolve it themselves without trying first shows bad customer service.

In short... fast shipping, good prices... just pray you don't have to deal with customer service.
