I called with a number of questions, and they were all answered. they did not try and make me buy a TV I did not want, or try and make me 'upgrade'. they also had the current model I was looking for, which another company I called did not. the salesperson was polite and treated me with respect, even though I am a woman. the other company did not, they talked down to me and acted like I did not know what I was talking about. when I am ready to buy another TV, I will but from East coast TVs."

Called to check the status of my order and they lied about it being already shipped because I was on the verge of asking for a refund. When It finally came, I saw that they upgraded the model. Not sure if it was on purpose or mistake but it made the situation a little better.

"I placed my order on 12/20/2014 at 11:16PM ET. I am hoping for a good experience. After reading many reviews of East Coast TVs on AVS and other forums, it seems they are reputable. The real question will be if I receive a verified S-PVA panel. I also like they close on Friday night through Saturday. Looking forward to receiving shipping details soon. I will give an update after they give me more details.

UPDATE 12/22/14 - Contrary to any negative reviews, I received an email today with the shipping details. No one ever called me. No one ever demanded that I call. So no up-sell, hard sell or any other selling calls -- no pressuring, just shipping my TV, free flat wall mount, free surge protector and 2 free HDMI cables. I paid with AMEX and they allowed all the discounts. My AMEX shows online the exact amount stated in the invoice when I paid. I am adding another star (one up from the first review to now 4 stars). The real question still remains unknown - will I receive a verified S-PVA panel? That will be the true test."
