"I expected this to be an easy one, and it lived up to my expectations. EAP had the new thermocouple I figured that I needed, and they packed it very nicely in a durable cardboard box. No instructions came with the new unit, but the installation was straight-forward and easy (perhaps aided by my own past experiences). But, feel free to use YouTube for help if you don't know how to do it! "

"ordered a replacement ice maker for my whirlpool refer. The good news was that the part came correctly for the replacement. The bad news that it was defective. I hired a service tech from Home Advisor to install it.
It did make ice, But it also produced excessive ice to coat my entire freezer. He said that the part was defective because the system did not shut off the water flow and it kept making ice from that water flow.
He took pictures and advised me to return the part to you for replacement. I now have a defective part and a service fee for the installation. If I get a replacement part the installation fee would be charged again.
I decided to go the smart way and purchased a stand alone ice maker. It was reasonably priced, and if it does go out, it is easily replaced. I also gained an additional shelf in my freezer."
"Fair experience overall. Part was the cheapest found. However, negatives include my order being cancelled due to a computer glitch in my selected pay option (invoice# 13474201). I received no notification of the cancellation besides checking on their website bu my own iniative days later. Also, the plastic bracket that came with the part was chipped.
