"It seems that the Oregon DOJ has forced Edge Micro to settle with their customers. I had to muscle them a little, but I have a check in my hand at this time for my refund.
Get 'em while they're hot!"
"According to the message posted on their website, it would appear that edgemicro’s bad reputation has finally caught up with them. They have ceased all business. All I can say is good riddance, and good work to all the reviewers who took time out of their day to come warn the other potential customers. Hopefully, some of the other corrupt resellers will take note and either join the long list of reputable resellers, or go the way of edgemicro.com and save us the hassle."
"What else can be said? I got off easy compared to most people. I ordered $350 of merchandise, and most of it was fine. However, the two sticks of memory I ordered were DOA. It probably didn't help that thrown together when EdgeMicro shipped them. I also ordered a Creative Labs 1241E DVD player. According to the decription, it should have came with the software drivers and Hardware decoder. Of course, it didn't, and now I'll have to pay $50 for a decent decoder just to use the DVD player. Thank God that this company is gone. Of course, I keep hearing that they've merely changed their name, so I'm afraid some other poor soul will just be duped as well. Someone needs to shut these people down."
"Wow, thought I was the only one that got taken in by this EdgeMicro scam. Here's what they did to me. I ordered 3 items, totalling approx. $150. They charged my debit card for that amount, then removed one of the items. Ok, no problem? Yes, they sent me the 2 items which they adjusted to $71.44, the total of the other 2 items. After countless email and phone call attempts (their phone lines were conveniently down as posted on their website)I finally went to my bank and did an affidavit for the charge to my debit and got the $80 dollars credited. Now all this happened months ago, but just recently I got a charge on my debit card for, you guessed it, $71.44 under the heading Computer XP. I immediatly cancelled that debit card and started proceedings on getting this money back thru my bank. It's been 2 weeks but I have not heard anything from my bank yet, but I have faxed over the information on this owner that I found on one of the posts below.
Just a warning to all who deal with this company, either a real scam/thief or some REALLY bad accounting. Either way, your taking a huge risk dealing with EdgeMicro or Computer XP (Computer-X-Press.) Posted this message on the Computer XP thread also. This gives online ordering such a bad name, other computer resellers should put help put the pressure on a crook like this?
Just to reitterate, if you have a credit/debit card listed with this company, CANCEL IT NOW OR YOU MIGHT REGRET IT LATER!!!"

"I had the same experiences as others here with Edge Micro. They dent me bad parts, double charged my card, then recharged me under the name of computer XP. I'm going to skip the Oregon State complaints and private attorneys, and file with the postmaster General's office. I believe we may have a felony here..."
"My experience was similar to countless others - ordered an "in-stock" item; was charged immediately; item didn't ship until weeks later; item was not what I had ordered; EM claimed was my fault; disputed through credit card company; resolved in my favor.
BUT...
Here's a new twist. Shortly after the disputed charge was credited back to my account, the same amount was re-charged to my card by Computer XP - the company formerly known as EdgeMicro!
FWIW, my credit card company said to treat it like any other fraudulent charge.
Brian Bang and Co. are criminals and belong in prison! I take consolation in the fact that my complaint to pricewatch.com contributed to them being delisted."
"What can I say, but echo the sentiments of everyone here... If I had known this website (RESELLERRATINGS.COM) existed, I would have checked them out... Ripped me off for $30. "
"Ordered a processor. Got charged $127.99. Never shipped. E-mails to the company were ignored. Phone line was always busy. Took about three weeks to get ahold of "Jason" who stated the order would be cancelled and the money refunded. Never heard from them again. No refund, no merchandise."
"I dont have my invoice with me right now...
Ok my problem is this.I ordered 30 sdram 128mb, 1 p4 1.8 and tools case. I got the p4 1.8 and the tools case but i never got the srdram.I never could reach them even by phone or email.I checked the web site after i recived the Cpu and they splitted my web order in 2: 1- 195usd the P4 1.8ghz and tools ; 2- 445usd the sdram. So they knew they were missing that part.
All this was 1 months and half ago and i did fill out a complain in BBB.org and all that stuff but i didnt get an answer from them or the company.
Now i see that they have another company and there is a phone number...
What i should do? I am not citizen from American, I am studying here in Missouri and this is pretty hard for me.
Best regards,
"
"I dont remember my invoice number or purchase date but I ordered a 256meg sodimm from them and it cam DOA. I sent it back and they say over 5 weeks ago they would return my money but havent!

"
"I bought a 256MB SODIMM Memory from Edgemicro and it was faulty. After several upon several emails and calling (no answer). I was able to get ahold of someone who said to send it back and they would credit it. He gave me a RMA number and I did so.
A week later I emailed them and asked them when they were going to credit me back my money. He responded back saying the item has not arrived. I checked my tracking and found that it accually arrived that day.
I emailed him back and told him that it did. I never heard from this company again. 6 Emails to RMA, 4 Emails to Contact Support, Several to other departments. They wont even open them. I get the confirmation that they arrived to the server but they dont dare open them.
I called that Computer XP and tried to talk about Edgemicro and he sent me to the manager. Manager confirmed they were owned by the same owners. I almost (almost) got the contact number out of him, just as he was saying it he stopped.. thought a moment and said.. oh um..wait..thats a fax number, but I knew better.
Anyway I got the email of the owner:
****@****
Email this mofo.. and put his virus checker into overload. The SOBs."
"this edgemicro company has been pulling the wool over peoples eyes for years, they started out as a local retail store under the name Int. Computer X-press, they moved from doing local business to selling parts on-line. after a year and a half or so they had dragged that name so far through the dirt that they changed their name to Edge Micro Corp. then in feburary of this year they opened up another retail store under the name Computer XP. All this has been done by the same infamous brothers: Brian And Greg Bang. They have now closed Edge Micro and there is rumor that they are going to relocate and change the name of their retail store as well.
I am personally talking with a lawyer about what to do about these people, i'm not going to sit here and go through it all but they have done quite a bit to justify legal action in my case and i', sure there are other people out there in th same situation. that is why i am posting this, i have contact information for the only remaining remnant of this horid excuse for a company:
Computer XP (legally Int. Computer X-press, a DBA for Edge Micro Corp.)

"Ordered a cpu from these crooks.
Waited for two weeks in limbo.
I called and talked to a Jason and canceled the order witch had already been charged to my credit card.
It's now October 7th and I still haven't received my credit from these's swindlers.
It's to bad EdgeChizeler doesn't "get-it", I've purchased over $5,000 this year alone from (mostly Newegg), ComputerGate,Googlegear, and multiwave.
If they would provide a worth while service on the internet instead of hosing people they wouldn't get all of these sorry reveiws.
It's in dispute with my card company. "
