"EHarmony hasn't been the experience that I have been looking for thus far. When I first joined I thought I could meet a woman with whom I could contemplate having a long lasting relationship, but all I have found is a disappointment time and time again. I was an active member for around three and half years. I met a lot people and I would truly recommend eHarmony over Match.com, because the women actually respond to your communications and you can actually have a date with them. On Match the women are shallow and vain. Moreover, they only care about your wallet size. So that is why I picked eHarmony over Match. I have met a lot interesting people and I have good experiences. Some moments that I'll cherish for a life time. However, I have yet to find my special someone. Why? There are many reasons why, but I'll list a few. Some of the women I have met on eHarmony joined eHarmony out of desperation. They joined in relatively short period of time since their last relationship. They tell themselves that they are ready for a serious relationship, but when faced with the reality of the prospect they get cold feet of sorts. Some of the gals were a few sandwiches short of a picnic after experiencing some sort of trauma such as a sexual assault, suicide attempt, physical assault, etc. I am not demeaning those experiences all I am conveying is those partners weren't emotionally stable for a relationship. Of course some women just sign up to eHarmony to find a lover. They may lie to at first and tell you what you want to hear, but in the end sex is all they want. Most recently I was with somebody whom I thought I could have a real future. Then one day I get a dear John text message, saying that I was the greatest guy, but she realized she wasn't ready for a relationship even though she was the one who accelerated things. I have a plethora of other stories, which is why I have decided to take a break from it all for now. I am hopeful, but in a cynical manner once I do decide to date again. The only advice I could give to guys is treat women with respect, but nice guys finish last. My advice to women is just because somebody in your past treated you like crap doesn't mean there is any vindication nor atonement for treating someone like that. All it means is that you have lowered yourself to those standards."
