"I ordered a Pioneer center channel speaker on July 11 of this year. At the conclusion of te sale, the sales person told me that I would receive the shipping information on the confirmation in about a day. After five days I sent an email to the company and was told that it had shipped "blind" from the company and it would arrive "tomorrow".
At this point I should have known something was going on. How could something ship blind and yet they knew when to expect it. Truth is, they didn't it was the easiest way to get rid of me.
Four days later (why I waited any longer than the next day, I have no idea) I sent another email. This was did not receive a response of any kind. Two additional days later, I sent another, more heated email, and received the news that it was back ordered and they were "checking with their other distributors". Now I knew I was screwed as this was supposed to come direct for the manufacturer, not via a "distributor".
As I suspected, I got the following the next day:

My manager just informed me that he is unable to locate the unit
that
you ordered. He tried looking through many of our distributors and had
no
luck. I am sorry for the inconvenience and will give your order to the
processor for a full credit.

Why then did they tell me it had gone out and I should expect it the next day? Why did it take 11 days and three emails on my part to get this information? Why did they charge my card for an item that they never bothered to verify shipped?
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I know things are occasionally out of stock or back ordered but, they would never have refunded the money or known that it wasn't shipped if I hadn't contacted them. They were very happy to charge me and forget about it.

"I have to admit, my experience with this company is a little bewildering. I purchased a Toshiba e570 PDA from them. Their online website claimed it was new, in box, which is what I needed, so I purchased it. They charged my card right away, but the device was shipped soon after, so no worries there. I recieved the device in a rather timely manner. It was when I opened the device that I was a little confused. Usually, when a device is new, it comes with everything wrapped in plastic, and the UPC code is on the outside of the box.
My device came with the bar code carefully cut out so the box was still intact. The Toshiba secrity tape had been cut. The cords were wrapped with long white twisters (companies always use short black cheap ties) and nothing was in a plastic bag. The software seal had been broken and the CD had obviously been used, noting from the small scratches on the back side.
So I called and spoke to someone there that wasn't sure if they sold new or used Toshibas, but he said he would have someone call back in the afternoon.
Someone did call back, and this is where it gets interesting. I was told that they "have been opening all the Toshiba devices before [they] send them out because people have been complaining lately that the Toshibas have been arriving (factory sealed) without parts! I then asked her why the UPC symbol was missing and why the plastic baggies were gone, and all she had to say was "Sir, I can assure you that if you call Toshiba, they'll tell you this device is brand-new."
With a grain of salt, I called Toshiba. They said that at one point, the deivce was new, but all they could really tell me was that the device had never been registered.
Everyone one the phone at Electrified.com was friendly, but very dishonest. I will never do business with them again, neither will my company, and neither will any of my aquaintances."
