"We bought a bunch of food 4 to 5 years ago. The cans recently busted open. We called and complained. They said they knew about the defect and offered a store credit. There is nothing in stock we want (and hardly anything in stock to begin with) and they are price gouging since COVID. We asked for a refund. They refused. Awful customer service. They don't stand behind their product at all. I wouldn't buy from them - if there is an emergency, your food might be in ruins from the busted cans. "

I tried calling several times over 2 days, no one answered , so not only did I miss out on my 25.00 off I also missed out on buying the items I wanted that were on sale. "Emergency Essentials WAS my source for long-term storage food and emergency gear for many years. I was always very satisfied with quality, price, selection and service. But my last six orders, placed in 2015-2016 or possibly early 2017--don't remember exact dates--included one to four badly damaged cans in each order. I got a bit angrier with each order. I know that if I wrote or called about it, the cans would be replaced; one can of lentils I complained about online was replaced. But I just got tired of receiving damaged goods with every order and the choice of either living with it or going through the hassle of getting replacements every time. So I just quit ordering from the company, and have not ordered anything since. These days I order from Thrive Life or Valley Foods instead. I have thought about trying Emergency Essentials again because of its wider selection and better prices, but I just don't trust the service any more."
"I have a small budget so I need to watch for your sales. I also like to stay with the basics because money on treats doesn't go very far. I try to watch for free shipping, every little bit helps. I once ordered from another company that sells storage items. when I opened the can it was over just a third full. I called them to tell them that I thought that was really a waste. They mentioned about things settling after being shipped but I still thought that was too much empty space so I don't order from them anymore. I haven't found that with your cans and containers so I have more trust in your products. I have also seen some ratings that have been done on several storage selling companies and your ratings were pretty good. I haven't tasted very many products you sell because they are of course, in storage but the ones I have are good quality. I also see that your utility items that are not food items are of good quality also. Thank you for this opportunity.
