"The shipping was fast, fast, fast. I was surprised that it arrived so quickly. And it was one of the easiest things to put together. It is a heavy, well-made and sturdy desk. My only caveat for someone who is considering buying this desk is that even though the height is adjustable, it is something to consider carefully before it is assembled. I had set it up at it's highest level because I sometimes like to stand as I draw but then, after the fact, decided that I would set it to the next lower notch. I didn't have anyone to help me at the moment and, since the desk top is heavy enough to prevent easy height adjustment, I laid the desk on its side and changed the height setting. Well, it was too heavy for me to set it back upright by myself so I had to get my neighbor over to help me. Now that it is standing I find that it is a perfect desk for me and I love the side table that remains flat. Another great point is the price. For quite some time I debated with myself to buy this desk from Amazon (which was MUCH more expensive) - so I decided to search the internet to see if I could get a better price. I was so excited to see the very same desk at Engineer Supply! And the neighbor who helped me stand it up was so impressed that he's considering buying one, too. I can highly recommend this drafting table!"
