"I bought a Thinkpad that was not what I expected (no touchpad) and which ultimately proved to be defective. Nevertheless, Euclid required that I pay a 15% restocking fee and of course I paid for return shipping, so I lost $100.
Communications with them was poor. They took at times 2 days to respond to emails and were almost never available on the phone.
Euclid had posted a photo of the laptop that was so small that I did not notice the lack of a touchpad. Who expects a laptop without a touchpad these days? No one.
Defects: The Thinkpad's audio was poor quality, the right speaker warbled at low volume in fact, and Windows crashed within minutes of my first starting the computer up.
This was a "never again" experience on two counts: I will never again buy from Euclid and never again buy a Lenovo computer."
"Just bad communication. Phone answered very seldom. Called this morning for a tracking #. )which is important for arranging to be home when product arrives)On hold for 15 minutes, finally hung up and was unable to reach anyone the rest of the day.Seems this company is run like a lot of others...right out of the home office"
"Very fast international shipping, good communication and prices. Reccomended!!"
"NO TRACKING INFORMATION! What company doesn't provide tracking these days? I purchased a laptop and needed to know when the package will arrive so i can plan a trip accordingly. These guys said they would let me know. two days later, no tracking, no laptop. I had to put my plans on hold. Poor customer service. BEWARE!"
"Euclid Computers had a great price on a top-of-the line T60p Thinkpad (which included free shipping and no tax). Lenovo had a 2 week delay from their website, and since Euclid was cheaper and in-stock I decided to go with them. After calling Euclid and being told that there were 4 of the models in stock that I was looking for, I purchased one online expecting to receive the laptop within 5 days (ordered on Jan 15th - Monday).
Unfortunately, I later learned (via a phone call) that the computer had to be shipped from a "distributor" to Euclid first because of tax reasons (which I don't mind, however this placed another unexpected 4-5 days on the shipping time), and thus my computer won't be shipped to me until Friday (19th). During this process, however, I noticed that Euclid's support is very reponsive, even though I was not told of this "multi-point" shipping requirement. Needless to say, after asking for upgraded shipping on the day that the pacakge was to be shipped to me (Friday, 19th) - shipping that I paid for - and initially receiving an incorrect tracking number, I received the computer in good shape and on time from when they said (over the phone) that the computer would ship.
I would order from them again due to responsive service and low prices, however I would first confirm how the shipping would be handeld, and what they mean by "in stock items"."
"I purchased a Thinkpad labeled as the Z61t on Euclid's website. In fact, once I went back and read the fine print, I realized that the model I had purchased had a Pentium M processor, not the Core Duo, and hence was really a Z60t. I don't know if Euclid is deliberately trying to mislead their customers, but labeling Pentium M and Core Duo models with the same name is confusing, to say the least. Having realized the mistake, I called Euclid to cancel the order (the laptop had not yet shipped, despite the fact that my credit card had also been charged). They agreed to cancel the order, but stupidly I did not ask them for a confirmation number, but simply assumed they would do as they had promised. Three weeks later, Euclid shipped me the laptop anyway! When I called to tell them I had already canceled the order, they refused to give me a full refund since I had no record of the cancelation request. Instead, I had to return the computer and pay a %15 restocking fee. I would not advise anyone to order from this company."
"It's a shame the customer service of this company. I ordered a Toshiba Qosmio G35-AV650 and I even had to make a wire transfer to pay for it because I live outside the US. Once they received the money they sent me an email saying that the product was out of stock.
Never do business with this company. They can sell you something that they really don't have in stock."
"Euclid Computers is a great company that cares about their customers. I have purchased ThinkPad laptops from them & they have a great inventory, at good prices. They have provided great service, communication and fast order processing and shipping. I highly recommend Euclid Computers."
"The company does not do as it promises. They do not keep things in stock and then attempt to place the responsibility for lack of delivery on the customer. In my case this resulted in me losing a significant amount of money. As part of this failed shipment, they also took more money than they quoted for delivery. Blame for their failue was then directed at me, despite their acknowledgment that they couldn't do what they said they would do!? Avoid - they portray themselves as a caring company, only to show their true side once they have your money."
"I am very satisfied with the service at Euclid. The notebook I order arrived sooner than expected. I have had no service issues with this company."
"Ordered a Thinkpad T42 which was listed as in stock. Since I wanted it shipped to another address than the billing address, Euclid asked me to set up and laternate shipping address with my credit card company. Taking credit card security so seriously is a good thing, I am glad they do.
However, by the time that was done, I was informed that the unit I had ordered (14in TFT) was not in stock anymore (albeit still listed as in stock). Euclid suggested two similar replacement models, I chose a third one, an the unit was deliverd on time and well packaged.
The whole email exchange was very friendly and efficient, the web page is well designed, easy to use, and does not overload things with flashy animations and such.
What I did notice though is that accessoires are at times significantly more expensive than at the IBM web site, machine prices however, are very competitive.
Will definitely consider doing business with them again.

"There was no photo with the item, just serial numbers. The entire website is poorly written and contains little or no information for each item. Shipping cost was 150% the item price. That is repulsive shipping rate scale. The item was shipped promptly, but it was the WRONG ITEM and most likely they were glad someone "bought" an obsolete laptop accessory. It took more than two (2) weeks to get an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) from Euclid. They never responded to phone calls, at any time throughout business days. I tried more than 10 times, different times each day. Followed RMA instructions exactly, and now another two (2) weeks later, they claim they never received the item and that I should contact USPS for a claims. Euclid is a horrible vendor. This is the first online company I seriously regret ever having done business with. BUYERS BEWARE!!!"
"***WHERE IS MY LAPTOP?!?!?!?!****
1st of all, these people can't keep their story straight, They charged my card on the 29th of March 2004, didn't ship out the lap top until the 5th of April! They advertised that they had the lap top in stock then they told me they had to depend on IBM's shipment. I would avoid them if you can't take lies! Look at what they wrote me below! They refuse to give shipping back for the delay and refused to upgrade the shipping when they ship late, BEWARE!!!! I will report these people to BBB and attorney general to make sure no one else like me gets fooled!
> You will receive your order on April 6th. Delivery date depends on IBM,

"Very reliable online seller. It had a delayed transaction because of the Thanksgiving Holiday. A simple call solved the problem and the shipping was fast. My ordered IBM thinkpad T40 came with the IBM original packing. And it was brandnew in 3 years warranty. "
"I ordered a Toshiba Satellite 2410-S205 /PS241U-851437/ for one of my customers. It arrive on schedule as advertised. I liked the computer so I ordered one myself and paid the extra $50 for second day air shipping. I also ordered a Kensington carrying case. On May 1st I received a fedex delivery from Euclid computers. To my dismay it was only the carrying case. I checked with Fedex to make sure they didn't forget one. The tracking number was for only one package. I attempted to contact Euclid and could only leave a message. I finally did get to talk to someone at Euclid and he stated that the computer was shipped from a different warehouse but it was shipped the same day and 2nd day air. He assured me it would arrive on May 1st. It never showed. Today, May 2nd I again attempted to contact Euclid. Again got the answering machine. I finally did get ahold of someone and he stated that the warehouse sent them an email stating that it did ship on Wed. the 30th and that it definately would arrive today. However, he could not provide me with a tracking number. He said he had requested one but the warehouse never provided one. He assured me again that it would arrive today. He stated that if it did not arrive today they would refund my shipping. Today it still did not arrive. I am hoping that it will be here Monday (no Fedex delivery in my town on weekends). Euclid has good prices and a nice website but contacting them can be a nightmare."
