Express.com customer service

"I ordered two pairs of pants on Black Friday at 50 percent off. I received a message that it was delivered on December 8. However, it was not there. This same thing happened last year. When I called customer service that night, they told me to wait three days and said that it might still come. I told the woman on the phone that the same thing happened last year. She promised me that there was still a chance that it might come. However, after three days, it has yet to come. Last year they had to re-send it. I called three days later; the customer service agent told me to wait another day; the agent told me they had had many problems and many people needed to get their orders. I called on December 14, and they said they would give me a refund. Although they gave me a refund, I still had to go to the store and pay more for the items because the sale was over. As I stated, this is the second year this has happened, and the second customer service agent told me that many people don’t get their orders. This isn’t fair. I will never order anything online, nor will I ever shop at Express again. I feel after years; no one should order anything online from them."

Bad customer service

"I just closed my express account due to the refusal of waving a late fee and not being treated as a valued customer. I will bring business to another company, not Express. I believe it is important to treat customers with respect and giving back for good business and loyalty. I called after I realized I forgot about my payment and was told the fee was waved! When I checked my account I realized who I spoke with waved $15 instead of $27. I called back and asked again for the rest of the fee to be waived. The senior account specialist, Elizabeth said that shes not able to do that. After I explained to her that I have been a very good customer for so many years and did not overused the late fee waiver she still did not wave this fee. When I asked her to close my Express account all of the sudden she was able to start the procedure to waive the late fee. No more business for Express.com! They don’t value good, honest, loyal customers !

Driver ran over a box of Dinnerly

"My Dinnerly box (food) was on the truck to deliver and never came. It was 91 out the first day and by the second day out for deliver, I knew it was going to bad news. I left signs that I refuse delivery as well as called to cancel the delivery. I then wrote 2 large notes to refuse delivery and the driver read the notes and left it anyway. My door bell cam had evidence of that. I ran out with the box to the road to give him the return and he said he didn't care what I did with it. Throw it out, give it away but he was not driving 5 miles back to return it. I then put it on the road and walked to the house. He said that was a fine to leave it there and then ran it over. He sped off down the road to I took pics of it all smashed in the road. He then came back a few minutes later and stood at my door for 2 minutes. (again door bell Cam recorded this). I felt very threatened due to his aggression of him running over the box in the road. I want to be on the list that says never deliver to this home. My son works for Fed Ex and said a return shouldn't be a problem. This company is terrible."

This company is so shady!

"Their customer service reps lie to customers. Their app totally ****. If you pay extra for two-day shipping, you will NEVER get it in two days. They change the initial shipment date multiple times. Customer service is NO HELP. Their so-called promo codes never work. I have had to contact customer service numerous times because the promo codes won't work on my orders and they have to apply the codes to my order AFTER the order is placed. Which means the funds are **** for five days before they release them back into my account. Their customers service reps are totally unapologetic and inept, each giving different information. I'm done with Express."

"Short and sweet I not insulting any one here but you really got to be a fool to believe that these people are legit they got me for $100 bucks and after I think about it I feel like a dumba$$ can't believe I can be such a dummy. "Customer support is a nightmare, they keep giving me the runaround and make promises that they can't fulfill. On top of that the website is slow AF. Definitely a terrible user experience. Do not recommend this brand. Really got to fix their sh*t."

Worst Service EVER!

"I placed a "in-store" order for my son, literally one hour later we found a WAY better deal else where. I decided to cancel the order. Called customer service and was advised.... they "supposedly" only "allow a 30 min window" from the time the order is placed to be be canceled..WTF..... TOTAL BS!!!!
Nicole (the supervisor) assured me, she can have the order returned back to express from whomever the carrier once it's ships and show tracking on it. And then she'll be able to credit my debit card back. Being super reassuring of this.
This all happened on a Tuesday...... I checked everyday for tracking... finally Friday and I show tracking movements... I called Express.. Only to be told by Samuel (another floor supervisor) the carrier delivering my order won't accepted their return request, so not I have to wait for the items to be delivery and go do an in-store return!!!! TOTAL BS! They knew this supposed return process wasn't going to work, but they pretended to "act" like it would. Never shopping there again!

Worst customer service

"Express has the worst customer service. I wish there was an option to give 0. I did not receive my package for 15 days and they were not ready to cancel my order or ship a new package. They expected me to wait infinitely to get the package. I had to basically beg for my own money. Worst service."

AWFUL

"Paid the full amount on line. Received a statement the following month with the previous month’s amount and a late fee. I called and was informed that the payment did not go trough that there was an issue with my debit card. I informed the representative that I pay all of my bills with this card and I never encounter an issue. This month I’m again with the same issue. This time I requested to speak with a manager. The manager whose name is William, was not helpful at all. I told him that after my payment I wanted to cancel my card and he did not tried to dissuade me at all, as other stores would. I do not need to deal with incompetent and fraudulent stores. They do this on purpose just to charge you a late fee and to ruin your credit. "

Their terrible customer service is making me rethink shopping there!

"I made an order online and returned two items in the store. In store, the pin machine cancelled out my order because the chip reader didn't work--no biggie. Except, when I told the store clerk, he ignored me and took the merchandise. The refund was never processed. It's been almost 2 weeks, and I've talked to 5 people so far about this issue. No one will help me, and all they've done is tell me to wait. I'm so frustrated by the fact that Express obviously does not care about returning my refund--they've basically stolen my money at this point--and no one has seemed to care. "

Do not buy Express

"I have been buying clothes from express a long time. I currently enrolled in the express feedback program that issues gift cards for your feedback and also other survey sites that offer express gift cards as payments. I received A birthday gift from express and tried to purchase for my birthday online. My order kept getting canceled, so today I called spoke with a supervisor he literally said I can’t use gift cards and get away with free items. He treated me like I was committing a crime . He literally had me crying after hanging up the phone. Ok first off this is no way to talk to your customers ; second gift cards have to be purchased to be gifted. Your team issues the free gift cards , how can you say oh you can’t purchase our expensive clothing for nothing. Your clothes are items that do not last long. Basically some good some bad pieces , I will never purchase everrrrr , will no longer participate in feedback and notify all in regards to this company, "

Very poor quality, grossly overpriced!

"I bought a pair of shorts very recently. Color was a very faded blue as if they had been washed dozens of times. Fabric was the thinnest, cheapest cotton, very fragile. Front pockets were very shallow so change, keys, etc. got easily lost. I threw the shorts out! Never do business with this company! You will regret it!"
