"I would like to warn consumers that Factory Direct may entice you with a "bonus offer", but you will never see it!
I ordered my Dyson vacuum from Factory Direct on April 8th, 2008. I chose this website because of the offer of a free Dyson hand held vacuum that was part of my order. I could have used another "e-tailer" with the same price and free shipping.
My ordered arrived in the 2-4 week window stated on the website. It states that bonus offer items will follow in another 2-4 weeks. It never did, so I contacted Factory Direct to ask. I was told there was no such offer when I ordered. I have kept all of my communications and website information showing the offer existed, but it is now June 17th, 2008 and there has been absolutely no further reply.
Don't get me wrong, I love the Dyson-it is great! I would never use Factory Direct Superstore again because of false advertising.

"I ordered a Dyson DC18 vacuum from Factory Direct Superstore - I received that order today, in original factory box - brand new for $360.00, about $100 off store prices and other discount type stores. They don't give you a tracking number, which can be kind of scary, but it did arrive during the timeframe they gave me in the confirmation email - 10-14 business days after order is placed. Overall, very happy with the outcome - had no problems with the order, just a bit slower than other online stores I have ordered from previously, but worth saving the $100!!"
"WOW STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! Ordered Dyson 15 Ball, product came across the US in 3 daysm BUT the item was packed in a "repack" carton, factory seals were cut, the serial number was cut from another carton and poorly reglued to the repack carton. My shipping label was placed over another older shipping label. the produt was a previous customer return that FD was trying to sell as "New Factory Sealed". I sent many emails and phone calls, have put a dispute on credit card, took pictures of carton, had UPS return the box as refused by customer, got a statement from the ups driver as to condition of box as shipped and the fraud in shipping by FD. Tried to contact Cecelia Care only to be told she left the company, then received an email back 2 days later to call her??? Went to Costco.com and repurchased a replacement that came in a factory sealed carton. FD is a scam company selling used open box items. shop costco"
"An order for a Miele vacuum cleaner and accessories was placed with FactoryDirectSuperstore on 11/01/06. The order was received in approximately 8 days. The accessories were supposed to include two different brushes for hard surfaces. Instead, I received two identical brushes ($46.70 ea). No invoice came with the order and no directions for returns. I called the toll free number on the website and got a peculiar reaction from the customer service rep - he rudely questioned my judgment and suggested I reexamine both brushes. Bottom line – they were identical brushes. I called back and he reluctantly accepted my request to return one of the brushes for a refund, and it had to be at my expense. Per his directions, I returned the brush (on 11/13/06) to his store in Ramsey N.J. rather than the factory point of origin. He confirmed that he received the brush. But after several emails and telephone calls requesting a refund, my credit card account has not been credited for $46.70 as of 4/04/07. At this point, I don’t expect to ever get my money. My recommendation: DO NOT buy anything from FactoryDirectSuperstore.com. Also, I find it curious that FactoryDirectSuperstore.com is not yet rated on the various mega internet shopper websites. "Items were ordered, order was acknowledged, and promised within 10-14 business days. At the end of 14 business days I emailed and asked why I had not received order. Email back from company said some items had been backordered (it would have been nice if they had told me this up front) and should arrive shortly. Last and only communication with them until I emailed again 2 weeks later and asked about order and asked them to cancel it. No response but order did show up 2 days later. Terrible way to communicate and do business. I would not order from them again."
