"My review is for the DAC GUNMASTER SPORTSAFE (CA DOJ) ATV2003C. The product seems to be of very good quality and pretty heavy steel. I haven't had a chance to install the base yet. One flaw I found on this one and probably wouldn't be consistant with all of these is that the contact adhesive holding the rubber key pad to the top of the safe appeared to have glue that was not cured properly and still gooey. I've used contact cement before and this didn't seem to have seal I've seen with it on other application. So I took it that maybe this one may have had a new batch of glue that wasn't mixed as good as others or a bad batch in general. So, I removed the rubber cover and removed all the glue easily with my fingers, which came very clean. I got some DAP contact cement and will properly apply the adhesive and see if I get a better bite than I got. I don't necessarily blame the manufacturer since this one may have slipped through and they may only do random quality checks. Other than that, the product is very robust and I appreciate the ability to move the safe from one base plate to another. I plan to put one in my trunk of my car and my mini van. I may put the 3rd plate somewhere in the house. As far as FED Tactical Direct, the product was delivered to my home within a few days for the order and I found that this safe and base plates to be the best deal out there... cheaper than the retail listed on the manufacturer website. shipping was still cheaper compared to retail. They also are great in giving you frequent updates of your order status with processing and shipping tracking. I'm very happy with this transaction."
