"NOTE: The most recent ratings have been a one and two star – and both replicate what I am about to write about. This purchase started out at what appeared to be exceptional. The order was placed early on Jan 21st (Saturday) for three (3) identical water filters and acknowledged right away at 6:52 am by e-mail, followed by a shipping confirmation e-mail at 7:37 am the same day stating the order WAS shipped. All is good and impressive - so I thought. The shipping e-mail contained a tracking number which I already know does no good to click on it right away. You have to allow some time for the package to be logged in to wherever it is being processed. According to their About Us page, the product is supposedly shipping out of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Illinois or California and coming to Atlanta, GA. I know to allow for an appropriate number of days for shipping, so I checked on it about 4-5 days later (mid-week) since it had not arrived at my doorstep yet. Clicking on the hyperlink in the e-mail took me to the company's website to a screen showing "Tracking Error - The tracking system returned the following error : Site not authorized to connect to USPS Server ." Directly below this was another hyperlink button for "Click here to continue" which does nothing. I even tried searching the tracking number in the address window of my browser provided in the shipping confirmation e-mail which comes back "Your search - Tracking Number 9261299999160400221940 - did not match any documents." Even going to the USPS official site and checking the number yielded "NOT FOUND - Tracking information is not available at this time. Please check back later or double-check the tracking number entered and try again." OK, I gave it a few more days until it had now been well over 10 calendar days and 7 full business days. This time I placed a call during normal business hours. The call was answered with an automated system and allowed me to leave a voice message stating all the particulars about the order. I allowed an additional two full business days and made a second contact via their website using the Contact Form on their Contact Us page. The only other method is by phone which I already experienced. I have seen no response whatsoever from this company. The About Us page indicates “Filteroutlets.com is a family owned and operated business based out of New Jersey….. We strive to earn your business and should you feel we have let you down at any time, please do not hesitate to contact us”. Nicely written but poorly executed. This has been the absolute worst experience and surprisingly from an American-based company. At this point, I would say BEWARE! It may be worth a few extra dollars shopping elsewhere until they get their act together."

"Don't order here! I ordered a refrigerator filter on 1/17/14 and received an e-mail confirmation of the order with payment receipt the same day. The following day I received an e-mail indicating that the filter had been shipped and was given a tracking number. After a week had passed and no filter yet, I tried using the tracking number only to find that it could not be found in the USPS or UPS systems. I tried calling Filters.com several times only to receive a message that said they were on the phone or closed and to leave a message and someone would call back. There has been no return call to date! I, also, used a their special internet contact form to send a message and did not receive acknowledgement. I finally called my credit card company and told them what was going on and they suggested to immediately put a "dispute" against that purchase. This company is either bogus or out of business and still taking money."
"TODAY IS 1/29/14. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY FILTERS YET. THEY WERE ORDERED 1/20/14. I RECEIVED A NOTICE THAT THEY SHIPPED ON 1/21/14. THE NOTICE INCLUDED A TRACKING NUMBER. EVERYTIME I CLICK ON THE TRACKING NUMBER IT SAYS (ERROR)! I HAVE CALLED THEM AND LEFT THREE MESSAGES (NO ONE EVER ANSWERS THE PHONE) AND I HAVE E-MAILED THEM. NO REPLIES TO MY E-MAIL OR PHONE MESSAGES. I HAVE CONTACTED USPS WITH THE TRACKING NUMBER AND THEY SAID THEY HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY PACKAGE EITHER. I AM AT A LOSS WHAT TO DO NOW!! I CHECKED AND MY CREDIT CARD WAS CHARGED FOR THE FILTERS ON 1/20/14. ANY SUGGESTIONS???!!!"

"NEVER BUY FILTER FROM THIS WEBSITE. I bought two filters "Maytag UKF-8001 UKF8001 Certified Green Refrigerator Water Filter "which was described as " made in USA" on their website. I found out they are made in China.
