"I ordered a costume, Sun, Oct. 25, paid for Expedited 2-day shipping.
I called once I saw my costume had been to my state and left and it didnot look good for getting it by that Saturday. I talked to the same customer service person Steve, he was so hung up on identifying what the problem in shipping was, he wasn't willing to send next day another costume, nor was he able to tell me what was going on with it and all he hung on to was the "words in big print" telling me that it could be 2-3 business days to process and then 2-3 "business-only, not Saturday" shipping, but I paid a ton for 2-day and I was already told it had been in my state.... needless to say, I told him this is terrible how your are an event costume provider and have no concern to be sure I get my costume for Halloween and I'd never order again from FindCostumes.com. I got my costumed delivered around Nov. 11! I called today, Nov. 20th to get my refund on my shipping, and wouldn't you know it, I got Steve from the customer service line and he was only willing to give me a refund less the regular shipping charge! Unbelievable! Really poor customer relations!"

"Paid extra to express deliver costumes. Costumes wee defective and cheaply made, the head part was deformed! Talked to a representative at “find costumes”, was told to return them and “they would determine if they were defective “ I returned one day after receiving the product and then ordered them again with a different company on Amazon!! This is why I would NEVER order from this company again.... they just returned the costumes to me!!! No phone call or email.... I’ve got $50.00 in shipping fees! Just wanted reimbursed for the costumes and they couldn’t even be fair about that!!! It’s 11/5, and they sent replacement costumes!!! A little late for Halloween!"
"I read the reviews before I ordered and was a little skeptical that I wouldn’t have a great experience. I took into account that everyone complaining was also ordering costumes in October sometimes a few days before Halloween. I get that you still want a costume company to be able to fill a costume order during peak season BUT it’s not like this is a chain store (ex. party city) keep that in mind.
I decided to take a chance being I wasn’t ordering anything last minute. I ordered what I needed on Thursday 6/28/2018 and got it Saturday morning 6/30/2018. Two days.
Maybe people need to take into account that this is a small operation and they need time to fulfill orders. Perhaps getting a costume in late August or September would help. Yes kids change their minds and grow, you can’t do anything about growth but as a parent you can use any experience you have with a child changing their minds about a costume as a learning experience.

"I bought a cupcake costume for Halloween - on the picture it looked super cute! But in real it was the worst thing I have ever seen! It doesn’t even look like a cupcake it’s a joke to sell a pice of fabrice and to use a completely diffenent picture!
But that’s not it - you can’t return the costume! (Because it was bought in October) no matter no matter what!

"I ordered a costume after reading on their website that they have 'ridiculously fast shipping - often same day'. Their website also indicated that the costume I chose would leave their facility in one business day. Okay so it's now been 10 days and still no costume. Called costumer service and they said they are a little backed-up because of Halloween. Really! Halloween is when most people buy costumes. Planning for the rush should be part of their customer service policy. The latest tracking indicates it will be delivered in three more days. That's actually too late for my needs. Ugh! Not a happy customer. "
"3 weeks before halloween (Monday 10th Oct), I ordered a set of items so my son could dress as an astronaut. I placed the order online and then phoned up to ensure everything was set (because I had read the reviews on this site). I was advised that because I live in MA, I should receive the items before the end of the week (they are based in NY).
A week passed so I phoned back to enquire why my order had not been delivered, the online tracking was not very helpful at explaining the holdup. It turned out 1 of the 4 items in my order (a pair of gloves) were out of stock and they were waiting for them to come in, however as they had no date for when that would be I advised to remove the gloves from the order so they could be shipped out. I was refunded for the item and had the items delivered 2 days later.
I would advise others to try and order a month before peak season, that way you have a better chance dealing with a company rep quickly to rectify any problems with your order.
I would also advise Find Costume to improve their website by enabling customers to find for themselves why their would be a holdup with an order (in my case an out of stock item), or even just send an email advising of a holdup. That way customers know/understand of the delay and can take the necessary actions to rectify it."
"Make sure you know the costume & the exact size you need bc this company will charge you a standard 20% restocking fee if what you ordered turns out to not fit. This tells me 1 thing about this company, they obviously do not care about repeat customers or customer service at all."
"WORST company ever! No manager available to speak to. Ordered my costume and was told it would arrive on October 29. No tracking/shipping information. When I spoke to them they said they were a bit backed up, but seeing as I didn't pay over night shipping I wont get it until after Halloween. They said no returns either. I explained if you were backed up then you should have paid to get it here when you said it would arrive. No once again I should have paid overnight shipping. By the way it took me 2 days to get ahold of someone and once you do you are talking to a brick wall. This company should be shut down! Hope that others read these comments before ordering. Unfortunately I didn't! "
"Stay Away!!! They have software/internet problems; their online ordering form cut off my address so the order was not able to be delivered; when I realized what had happened I called and was told the costume was at the local postal processing center; the nitwit I talked to failed to give me a tracking # for the package. I kept asking her if there was anything else I needed to know, but she said that is all the info she had. I called the PO and of course they said they needed a tracking #. I called back to Find Costume and waited for an hour before I had to hang up and get back to work; I then went online and found a tracking # for my order, but it did not work; I called Find Costume back and pushed "2" for sales; I got through within 5 minutes (imagine that) and a nice lady gave me the real tracking #; there was a # left off the end of the # that is displayed on the online invoices - REALLY???? She new immediately what the problem was; so if you get a tracking # know that the last # is cut off the invoice! I still do not have my son's costume. Oh, and they refused to overnight the package so it would get here in time for Halloween. This place is unorganized, unprofessional and not customer-friendly. STAY AWAY!!! Far, far, away!!!"
"Absolutely HORRIBLE scam of a store! My situation exactly like previous review. Ordered costume on 22nd, pd second day shipping, nothing by the 30th. My account was charged and have been trying for days to get ahold of someone by phone and have written several emails. Am filing complaint with Better Business Bureau."
"I agree with the other comment. They are a SCAM. Ordered costume on October 22nd and still hasn't arrived but they've charged me. I sat on hold for two hours and no one answered. I finally sent in a question asking when my order was going to ship. When I got a response and tracked it said it was estimated to deliver on Saturday. Halloween is Friday. I've since sent in two more questions and have yet to receive a response. Then I see they have a no return policy if bought in October. Beyond mad and told them I would make sure everyone knows not to order from them or any affiliated company and there are several. I will NEVER order from them again."

"Horrible customer service. Placed an order on 10/12. Order was delayed due to an out of stock item. Rather than send the item that was in stock, they held the entire order. I wasn't notified until 10/23, well outside the processing time window they stated for this item. I requested that they overnight in stock item at no cost to me. Instead, they cancelled my entire order."
