"I ordered and paid for a book on Fishpond. Soon said book had been dispatched, waited for ten days after due date then contacted seller. Admitted in email they hadn't sent book as wouldn't have the book themselves for at least another month (funny that that would be after refund could be sorted if still didn't arrive). Contacted Fishpond about this, they said would contact seller and get back to me, nothing happened. Contacted Fishpond again about matter, didn't read email correctly, told me to cancel order but would require me to pay restock fee when done nothing wrong. What is also annoying is that when you go to click that consumer evaluation survey whether email was helpful and reasons why or why not it doesn't work. Shonky outfit, next step ACCC"

Received an email that the company had failed to stock my item and then was CHARGED a stock processing fee despite the item not even coming into stock - absolutely ridiculous, not only did I already have to wait so long already but was refused the full refund despite the product never coming? In essence, robbed of my money. Will never purchase again from this site ever."

"I have so many things to say about this company, but don't have 5 hours to spare. DISGUSTING customer service. I do not know what is actually going on within their organisation, but I do not think they read their emails properly before replying - IF they reply. One incident, which was earlier this year: I had contacted them to ask where my item was, which I had been waiting two months for. They asked me to wait longer, which I did and it still did not come. They asked me again to wait longer and still it did not come. When I contacted Fishpond again they shrugged me off over and over, so I firmly asked for my money back. Then they stopped communicating with me. The item finally arrived after 3 months (maybe longer). During this time I had made other orders with other online companies and had already received all the items.
More recently, I made an order and it had been over one month and it had not yet arrived. They state a date by which you can make a claim and did so after this date - which they then declined, saying I had a high number of previous claims. LIES! I asked them to tell me what claims I had made and they never replied! I later found they had the WRONG address listed for delivery, despite my details having been updated with my current address being the PRIMARY address for over two years. When I contacted them about this I received an email saying "thank you for letting us know it arrived". REALLY?? They have no idea what is going on. They are the worst company and I will never be buying from them again! The staff at Fishpond don't really have a great track record for actually giving a damn. Shrugging off customers is what the staff at Fishpond have been taught to do best. My advice? Avoid this company at all costs. You may have some great experiences now, but it won't stay that way and you will realise just how terrible they are."
"I ordered a product on 27th Nov 2020 and in the listing it did not mention it would not be delivered until 18th Jan. That was specified in the email after the payment. When I cancelled the purchase, I was told they will charge me cancellation fees as their product has already left the warehouse. I was charged way more than 17% cancellation fees, which was in their terms. On asking why I am charged double the cancellation fees, I keep getting an automated reply that I am charged fees as the product left the warehouse already. I basically feel ripped off my money for lack of transparency from their end. Very disappointed with this service. I bought so many products from fishpond and this was my first time cancelling the order for a genuine reason as I bought it for Christmas."
"Rating = Terrible. Very dissatisfied with Fishpond. I pre-order a book in Jan 2020 for Jun/Jul 2020 release at $166 AUD. Weeks past the release date, my order had not shipped and the item was listed online at a much higher price (230-300 clams). Received no communication whatsoever. After enquiring about my order I was told there were "distribution problems" and that they "may not be able to even source it". If that is really true then why is it still listed as available on their site??? I was not born yesterday. They know that the pre-order price was very low and now they are trying to screw over everyone who pre-ordered by pretending that it is unavailable. But actually many, many other online store have it available and ready to ship in 3 days... This is some real Stalin style tactics. I see through your little game Fishpond. "Ordered a jigsaw in March. It went missing in the post and 4 months later it hadn’t arrived. I asked for a refund and was told by their customer service representative that they wouldn’t provide a refund because “they’re a small business and if everyone asks for refunds we’ll go out if business”. They didn’t respond to any further emails. I had to lodge a dispute with PayPal. They didn’t respond to PayPal and in the end PayPal found in my favour and refunded the price into my account. A really bad experience. Find someone else to buy from!"

"Update: Fishpond did handle my issue internally and I'm overall satisfied. However, I'm disappointed in the response. We are in a global pandemic and the books I ordered were for my kids while homeschooling and stuck in the house. I needed them now, not in a month+. The restocking fee is not explained on the website and the ship times are never indicated until after you've already made your purchase. If I knew how long it would take, I wouldn't have ordered. If I knew that a company would charge me a $5 restocking fee for each item, several of them costing only $7, I wouldn't have canceled the order. The response from Fishpond was tone-deaf to the situation that is currently underway in the world. All but one of my restocking fees were refunded, unsure why the last one didn't go through, but I don't care enough to fight for it anymore. I'm grateful that someone at Fishpond realized the predicament of the current worldwide shutdown and helped me out, but I'm disappointed at the complete lack of empathy from the initial response. You all need a meeting to decide what kind of company you will be-because how you treat customers during this time will determine whether or not they ever purchase from you again.
I will update this order based on the response I get from Fishpond, which is still pending. Read the other reviews, I am not alone on this! Please BEWARE. This website charges a $5 restocking fee, PER ITEM, even if you never received the item. I purchased some books after my kids' school shutdown so we could "stay inside" and I could try to curb all the screen time that was inevitable. There was no way for me to know before order how long my order would take. After ordering it said it would take a month. By the time they arrive, our local shop will probably be open and I could swing by and grab those books there. Instead I'm paying $50 in restocking fees! Unbelievable. I feel taken advantage of. I cannot afford to buy more books from a place that will deliver in a timely manner without that $50. Please help Fishpond!"

So many customers are dealing with scam as well as fraudulent.
I want to tell anyone willing to BUY from this website BE CAREFUL. IT SEEMS LIKE A LEGIT WEBSITE BUT HALF ARE SCAM ALSO and if you have issues customer service support doesn't response because they already made MONEY of you.

At first seller said it was delivered when i didn't receive anything and didn't provide tracking number until asked.
THE TOY IS NOT WHAT I RECEIVED ADVERTISED ON WEBSITE. I WISH I CAN ATTACH IMAGES BUT I CAN'T!!
Now I've contacted seller and communication was not helpful as seller thinks I'm dumb i wouldnt know that its a totally different toy but is adamant that it is. (Mind you when the first parcel went missing, I'm sure he/she didn't send anything in the first place.) All seems dodgy with communication.
I had a gut feeling this would happen.
