"I had a terrible experience, sadly. The price was right, but I see now why it was so low. They are kind of fumbling through this process and act more as price brokers rather than a web-based warehouse/reseller. They misspoke and overpromised on a delivery date which they had no way of meeting. They did make some adjustments, but only after I called several times and even got into a shouting match with the sales manager.
I can tell they are trying hard, and hopefully most customers don't have the experience I had, but beware if you need something by a certain date. 5 days after I was charged, the order still hadn't been placed, then it had to be shipped from New Jersey to Florida, when I live in California?
The product was what i ordered, it just took my oversight and checking in several times to make sure it was moving. The stress was worth the mammoth savings for me, but I doubt most will save what I saved (30%) over local showrooms."
"I purchased 1900 sq feet of Eterna birch hardwood in cherry finish from the blowout page. This is 3/4" solid Canadian birch wood with tongue and groove and 2 1/4" wide.
I layed approximately 400 sq. feet this weekend and it went down relatively easy and looks fantastic! The cherry finish is outstanding and the wood seems extremely hard. This was for one of my rental units and these new tenants are going to have a stunning living and dining room.
The remainder of the square footage is for my house and another rental property that will be put in over the next several weekends.
Overall, I was impressed. The wood is great and a great value too. Floormall delivered promptly to my workplace too so I didn't have to hand unload it from the curb. "

"We got floating cork floor color Meteorite. It is gorgeous. We have a modern house in California and we have the whole floor with this floor (living area, kitchen, entry hall, powder room) and could not be happier with the results. It is soft and warm to you feet, and easy to keep clean.
Floormall was very efficient providing us the floor, and actually was told about this tile and got excellent price compare to other stores. Because we have very difficult access to our house, Floormall took care of negotiate with the local delivery company to arrange a suitable truck. Floor boxes were in excellent condition, no breakage at all, delivery was fast and reasonably prices.

"Terrible customer service, shipping and accountability. Their lack of follow through and accountability has fatally damaged a relationship with an important client of mine. Caused us a 3 week delay and I had to ultimately gather the remainder of our flooring from an alternate vendor at an "emergency" price. As a building contractor (not a one night stand buyer), it is important to rely on vendors and suppliers. I will never use floor mall again, too risky when my personal relationships and reputation is on the line. They were also exceedingly slow at returning money to my credit card.

"I got very worried after I placed my FloorMall tile order, because AFTER ordering I read a bunch of terrible reviews. I'm very happy to report that everything was just fine in the end--only a handful of broken tiles which is to be expected with such fragile items. I would suggest that the invoice could be clearer-more specific about quantities-# of tiles vs # of square feet. But we called and the rep clarified it for us."
"If you order tile and it is damaged, do not accept the shipment! We ordered 13 cases of tile and went to pick it up at the freight company. We immediately saw that it was ALL broken. We immediately called floormall who said to accept the shipment and fill out a claim form on their website. Months later, we still have no refund. Floormall says its the shipping company's problem, shipping company says it was packaged incorrectly by floormall. Either way, I'm out over $800 and no one cares. After reporting the issue to my credit card company, floormall offered to pick the tile back up from my home if it was on a pallet and shrink wrapped. When I told them that the tile was hand loaded into my Toyota Prius when I picked it up and I had no way of getting or transporting a pallet, let alone shrink wrapping it. Their response was, "oh well, then I guess you won't be getting a refund." Lovely. Avoid buying tile from this place, but if you do and it is damaged, DO NOT accept the shipment regardless of what they say. Tell the freight company to return it to sender and demand your refund."

The reviews posted on line, primarily, are always negative because most people do not take the time to positively post comments. A person who has a bad experience with a company will traditionally tell (or in this case post) 10-15 other people about thier issue. People with positive experiences will only traditionally tell less than 5 people or recommend less than 5 people to that same company. These are TRUE statistics, we see this all the time with Better Business Beaureaus, etc. So please remember that your expierience with any company is based on YOUR research on terms and policies of ANY company...
I am very suprised at the negative comments on this site regarding Floormall. Every single situation where there has been an issue I am aware of, has been resolved above and well beyond the actions that most flooring dealers, and even suppliers would take.
Furthermore, because of thier tremendous buying power and reputation with vendors, (which is why you see posts about how good the deals are) resolutions on claims are handled VERY quickly. We buy from Floormall because they can sell products to us cheaper than what we can buy them direct for!! This company is not your typical on line flooring retailer, the majority of on line retailers are working from home, have no overhead, and tracking them down after the sale is made is rediculous. I have spoken to more than 11 people at floormall throughout the years purchasing from them, and all have been extremely pleasant and professional. No company on earth has only positive reviews, but if you pool ALL of the customers that have purchased from any company, you will find that the majority have had positive experiences...otherwise, would they still be in business???
The very funny part about internet flooring dealers is this...our customers (you), who visit our showrooms, take OUR samples, spend time with OUR salespeople who we pay large commissions to, and then go home and purchase product for the lowest price they can find......and expect the same personal service they recieved in our store. WELL, YOU WILL NOT GET THAT SERVICE FROM ANY OTHER WEB SITE OTHER THAN FLOORMALL.COM !!!!!!!!!! The staff there is very savvy to retail business, and understands our philosiphy in providing exceptional customer service. We have tried, many other major sites, and I promise that these guys are the premier player.

First off we would like to apologize for the delays on your order. We do our best to offer estimated time-frame, however we often times have special ordered items that must either be produced, or transferred between warehouses. During these processes, we are at the mercy of the vendors – the manufacturers and the distributors – and have very minimum control over how quickly a product becomes available. In the case of your order, the normal shipping warehouse did not have availability, and the projected transfer date was too far out. We made arrangements for it to ship from a separate stocking warehouse – a new warehouse, in fact, for us. Unfortunately, sometimes these minority orders have snags that do arise. If there is anything we can do to remove the bad taste in your mouth then I'm all ears.
We are happy we were able to assist with the pricing, as that is primarily what we aim for – to save you, the customer, money through our volume discounts and direct savings.
