Buyer Beware- product and return is not what you would expect!

"bought apprx. $1500 in rubber floor tiles, but no edging included (it typically is with this type of product or is clearly called out as not included). Product has this info hidden at bottom of product description- you have to look closely/scroll into the text to find it. Took several days for FlooringInc to tell us it wasn't available, then we were given a steep cost for the return and a high restocking fee (not disclosed on their website).. the return value was less than 15 cents on the dollar!

we have used this company for years without issues, but this will be our last order.

Like pulling (your own) teeth

"Like pulling (your own) teeth trying to find an employee there willing to assist you with *their* screw-up.

I received stair risers, but not stair tread from a single order with a single tracking number. Needless to say what I received was less than 20% of what I paid for. Despite this, I learned after repeated calls to them that the missing product had been discontinued months ago. Here it is instructive to describe said calls: you're routinely informed that they're experiencing high call volume, and that the expected wait time is 5 minutes. This expected wait time never varies, and is NEVER correct. Expect more like 30 minutes of repeated attempts to bludgeon you into dealing with a machine rather than an actual human. As often as not this 30 minute waste of your time results in a machine telling you that 'we're sorry, it's not possible to speak with somebody at this time. Please try again later'. As maddening as this is, more maddening still is the de rigueur 'your call is VERY important to us' bald-faced-lie-to-your-face.

On the 5th attempt I managed to get a reasonably attentive employee -- from whom I learned of the product discontinuation. I picture in my mind that individual responsible to fulfilling the order learning that there was no product to ship, and deciding to only send the risers -- and I just don't get it. Well, I do get it, but I don't like what it says about that individual or the company who would tolerate that level of laziness.

You'd think an email at the least, or a phone call advising the customer would be in order, but no. As of this writing I'm FULLY expecting to have to subject myself to more wasted-time in their infernal phone holding pattern in an attempt to chase down a refund that doesn't begin to compensate for this frustration.

After such colossal time waste, it naturally begs the question of why I'd expend more time & energy with a review like this. The answer: I like to think it saves the next poor schlub similar rage. I'll be heading for other review sites directly.

Use this company at your own peril.

No communication; a horrible customer service

"My experience trying to get the product I ordered has been horrible. They shorted me all of the female edges for the deck tile I had ordered, When I finally got hold of someone through the bot chat, she said I should’ve examined all seventy of the boxes on a wrapped up pallet when they arrived (weight was over half a ton and I am 74 years old) and finally agreed they screwed up. They sent some of the shorted edges but still not the full number I purchased. Complained again and finally got more edges except they were completely wrong; not even close to the materials I ordered.

To try to communicate with them either on their stupid bot or on the phone is impossible. I just waited over half an hour for someone to reply on their bot chat to no avail. Called the number and was told there was a three minute wait time. After 16 minutes of waiting I got a message that they would not be able to take my call and to leave a message. They never return messages. I will be contacting my bank to dispute the charge.

Ordered Carpeting / three week later, Nothing!

"Placed an order, paid and been three weeks later, no product recieved. Been calling the company many times and no answer. Brianna, the sales agent refuse to follow up.
Due to FlooringInc our company (hotel) renovation is delayed and with a revenue (room) loss exceeding $14K
I have sent many email, called but just no response.
Now started a charge back.

Maybe a scam?

"I'm not really sure what to say - i put in an order in mid august to have carpet shipped on September 23rd. I sent several emails asking questions about the order, including installation, and never heard back. I now can longer reach the company after several emails and calls, and am terrified i'm out thousands of dollars on a scam. That being said, i did order another product from their affiliate company rubberflooring.inc, and i received that product extremely promptly and am very happy with it... problem is the first product is carpet underlayment for carpet im worried i'll never receive. I hope that i hear back from them soon and this is just a supply chain issue. "

Damaged Product Twice

"My experience with Flooring Inc. was incredibly frustrating (and costly). I ordered two boxes of LVP for my basement bathroom, and every plank in both boxes arrived damaged. I chatted with a representative online and they ordered me a replacement. Because the flooring arrived damaged, we of course had to delay our reno project and ask our installer to come back at a later date. When the replacement flooring arrived 3+ weeks later, the boxes looked undamaged so we trusted that the product was in good shape. Upon closer inspection by the installer, all the planks were damaged and unusable. We immediately contacted Flooring, Inc. to inform them of the issue, but were told that we needed to have reported damage within 48 hours of delivery, so a refund is unavailable. After much back-and-forth, and pointing out that their website states that they have a 30 day full refund policy, we were told that they could make an exception and give us a refund for one box, but not both because we were 35 days from delivery. I understand that companies need to have a firm return policy in place to address the majority of return scenarios, but given the extenuating circumstances of our order, including the fact that Flooring, Inc. had shipped us damaged products twice and considerably delayed our renovation project, I would have expected a company to practice good customer service and provide us with a full refund to make up for these issues. "

Worst experience ever

"Absolute worst experience ever. After ordering a sample of the flooring we were interested in, and liking what we saw, we ordered and paid for 7 cases of black and 7 cases of white flooring from FlooringInc.com in early August.
We got confirmation that our order (in full) shipped. We prepare our floor. We get half our order, black tile only. We call and are told we received our whole order. We did not! They finally place another order after numerous calls, but the order cannot in anyway be expedited. We wait. and we wait. Our order is now not being able to be tracked and apparently lost by the shipping company. We wait. In the mean time we are putting unnecessary wear on our sub-floor. Three MORE days pass and we get our order and it is NOT at all what we ordered. A total different white than the sample they sent us. Another case arrives and is still not the same white as the sample they sent. It is now 6 weeks after my initial order and I still do not have my refund. I was told to "Please just keep the order and I will refund you, you can kleep [sic] it or donate it, I will issue the refund. Please allow 3-5 business days to seeit [sic[ in your account we will not do a return anymore" That was last week.....after again contacting this company because no one was returning emails and to call and get an extension is impossible. I then do get an email stating I have to return the merchandise to get my refund!! Really????? Good thing I didn't donate it!! I finally get a RMA number (after business hours) with a pick up the next day. I do not have access to a printer in the evening. I email to reschedule pick up, never heard back. FedEx came for pick up. Never heard anything the remainder of the day. FINALLY got a reschedule after I again contact them.
Wish you had a negative star rating, 1 star is too good for this company.

HORRIBLE

"HORRIBLE!!!!! I waited 2 months to receive an item I ordered from www.flooringinc.com. Then the carrier lost the item 3 times!!!!! You can not even make this up. They found the item, then lost it, them found it and lost - 3 times!!! I've been dealing with them for weeks and they keep telling me they are waiting for a resolution. Waiting to find out an answer. Waiting to get back to me....so and so on. Truly HORRIBLE customer service."

Wrong product shipped, no accountability

"Purchased some reground confetti rolls from FlooringInc.com with the understanding that there could be some variability in the amount of color, other than black, could be different between the rolls. Received rolls that were 100% black, not a single speck of color to be found. Moreover, one of the rolls had a label that said "Black".
Engaged with customer service representative Alex Escobar who was helpful in the beginning and asked for some pictures of the rolls. Acknowledging while on the phone that the wrong product had been shipped he asked for a few days to determine either a) the amount of a partial refund or b) how long it would take to send the Confetti rolls as our options going forward.
Received an email after I followed up with him over a week later saying that the right product was sent even though it is 100% black. Alex Escobar became unresponsive and my only recourse is to pay the $200+ to ship back the rolls. Highly unaccountable company that you should avoid at all costs. Buyer beware!

Easy and convenient

"I only have a small area to carpet, but other companies charge you for a whole case. It was nice to be able to spend less and get exactly what I need. Can't wait to receive the product. The discount was generous, too. Very pleased. Plus free shipping. Can't beat it!"

Good carpet

"2nd time buying from this site.
Not much experience buying carpet, but samples are shipped quickly as is the order. Arrives well packaged and ready to go.
Most importantly my wife is happy with the product and my ability to easily install.
