"I have used them for years for my MBT's. I often buy multiple pairs if I find a style I like. I wear one pair until they look horrible (usually a year and half or so of everyday wear). The last several pairs I have bought started falling apart within a couple months. Not cosmetically, Huge chucks of the soles just start falling out. I have pictures!

I contacted the company and was told that they would honor the pair I bought last year and the prior pair. The prior pair was the last of 3 that had been bought 3 years earlier. I wore a pair and the soles started disintegrating. I took out another new pair from the closet and so on.

My husband was fighting stage 4 cancer and his care came first. I just did not have the time to call about the shoes. He died 6 months ago and I contacted them because the new pair's (a different style) soles had disintegrated too.

I spoke with Melisa and she agreed to warranty the current pair and the one prior pair since I had purchased 3 identical pair and had not worn that pair until recently. They were my only daily shoes so I ended up buying another pair from the company. When I emailed to start the return my emails went unanswered for several weeks. I called and was told Melissa was on maternity leave. (You would think she would have set up an auto reply) I called and was told to send the shoes in, I did. Weeks went by. I was then told that when Melissa looked my order up she got the wrong person with exactly the same name and they would not honor the promise made.

Oddly this other "my name" ordered a pair of shoes the same time I did. Sure. I pointed out that this was their mistake, but that did not matter. You should see these shoes! Magically, despite my credit card bill, they claimed that I did not buy shoes a year ago, but the other"my name" did.
How convenient. I'm guessing that either the whole excuse is phony or that my purchase was mistakenly added to the other "my name" just as the first rep "mistakenly" referenced the wrong "my name".

According to MBT there are fake shoes being made in China and the soles do disintegrate. I think that Footwear etc is probably selling those shoes.

In the last 4 1/2 years 4 pairs of MBT shoes have literally started losing chunks of the sole from the SIDE of the shoe, especially under the heel and the bottom portion of the sole has started coming off at the edges within months. This is the only time in 18 years that this has happened.

I would avoid this company, they do not stand behind their promises and sell substandard shoes. They conveniently cover up by claiming a mistake was made. It's their mistake, why shouldn't they honor the agreement? They lost a good customer. Beware.

"They had the shoe I wanted at a great price on sale. They offered 3 day shipping upgrade. Received shoes very promptly.

The only demerit was they slightly delayed the order to confirm I wanted 2 of one of the shoes. Yes I ordered 2 because I wanted 2. A little too conscientous--more than likely checking up on the large order to make sure no fraud involved.

They are a local CA chain who retail high end shoes. I would have no hesitation ordering from them if you can find what you want for a fair price."

"They have a large selection of shoes, free 2 day shipping on MBTs and free return shipping on some brands. I ordered 5 pairs of shoes because I wasn't sure how they would fit. They immediately refunded my money on the pairs I returned.

Their customer service people are easy to reach. They are very helpful and friendly.

They sell some expensive shoes, but have good prices compared to other sites."

"I ordered a pair of shoes online, the shoe style and size were shown to be in stock.
A few hours after placing myorder I received an email stating the shoes were on backorder and would not be available for several weeks.
Footwearect rep asked if I would like to keep the order open or cancel.
I responed back to cancel the order and received a reply back that my email was received by the rep.
Two days later a charge for the shoes appears on my credit card showing a different shoe company. After some investigation I discover it is Footwearect.
I called Footwearect and customer service tells me the charge was automatic, I also discover the order was open. The rep canceled the order and said I should receive a credit in a few days.
I might also add that I attempted to check the order status before calling and the web site order status check did not indicate my order valid.
Now I have to check my credit card for the credit back...
