"This is a bad company. Plants ordered on April 2, 2022 arrived on July 2, 2022. This included one dead primrose/poker and two nearly dead primrose/poker. As well, a strawberry plant still dormant! We don't plant our strawberries in JULY in Virginia. Don't order from here."
"Ive purchased from these folks for 20 years, have had better than average results-until 2021 fall.
Will not make good on warranty, will not return emails or calls. BBB can't even get them to respond.
Two conversations with reps assured me warranty claims are valid, until claim is actually due to reimburse.
In process of class-action suit"
"I ordered several items in spring of 2021. I understood it would take a little more time, as we were all rebounding from the pandemic aftermath, and was very excited to receive notice that my plants were shipping! That excitement fizzled when the plants sat in a warehouse for several weeks, and finally arrived dead (not dormant... DEAD). There was a second shipment, that was being sent separately. When it didn't arrive, I sent a message, asking about it. I was told it was scheduled to be sent in Spring 2022 (no offer for a refund or apologies for the delayed shipping). It is now almost summer, 2022. I have tried contacting them about a refund on, at least, the items that I never received. As of date, no response. "
"I have a flower farm and was counting on the plants ordered from there to sell this year. All but 1 of the items I ordered showed ready to ship. They were estimated to ship the 11 or April. It is now the 5th of June I have only received 5 of the 50 items and 4 of them were completely dead. I have called twice and each time I get told they have moved my order to an “expedited status” and they will be shipped the next week. But I still don’t have my plants. Now they are way past the optimal time for planting. If you are counting on your plants to arrive in a timely manor, I would definitely recommend purchasing them elsewhere. "
"I ordered several items from this company in early March. I am still waiting to receive my order. Whenever I check the shipping status it says ready to ship, but it NEVER ships then the date gets changed again. Not sure who runs/owns this company but they should not be in business. Forget about calling customer service. You get a foreign call center and they do not know any more about the order than you can see on the webpage. No way to contact these nursery directly. STAY AWAY!"
"Same experience as above review. Support is out of the country so they dont care if the entire order arrived dead. Can't get to a person here in the states. Dont bother with them."
"I placed my order for several items, including a plant collection for shade, and it has been on back order since March 3,2022. Part of my order IS in stock and they told me they placed an ASAP order status on it. That was in late April. Its now May 13, and I called again. I was told nothing has yet to be shipped but it's on priority status... still... here we go again. "
"I have been waiting on a order for 3 months now and still haven't received it. I will never place another order with them again"
"Yes I too believe this company is a scam. I agree with all of the other one star reviews: customer service does not respond to phone calls or Email; the products received are clearly NOT as described in the catalog, I received tiny .little seedlings NOT healthy plants;
This company has no control over their own business. They do not respect customers, and charge for full orders even when not shipped. They do not honor their own refund policy. I returned the ENTIRE order in its original packaging as required on their website. Four Seasons insists I did not and that they have no proof of my return, even though I sent them copies of the post office receipt with barcode and proof of receipt at their warehouse.
Do not use this company under any circumstance,"
"I have ordered from many other online nurseries, but this was a huge mistake! The products are shipped in a bag, yes a bag, that had huge holes, and sticks poking out of the sides. Those sticks happened to be the trees that they sent which, indeed, were sticks. The Green Thuja were a joke with no root, looks like they cut the branches off in the backyard and stuck it in a bag. Not even 10% of what I ordered took. The return policy is sad. You need the original label off the ripped bag that the dead plants came in to get a refund. Customer service is a laugh. I asked for months where my product was only to be told that it gets there when it gets there.
Stay FAR AWAY from 4 Seasons Nursery!"
"ORDER TOOK FOREVER TO GET TO US. BOX DAMAGED , ROOTS DRIED OUT. CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE ASKING THEM TO REPLACE 2 FEMALE WINTERBERRY PLANTS. ELANA AT CUSTOMER SERVICE SAYS NOTHING SHE CAN DO ABOUT IT!!! KEPT OUR MONEY!!!"
"packet come very poor wrap i open up all my plant has been cook and die try to call the line is busy last TWO weeks?? some one need to take care customer after take theire money buyer beware "
"Ordered $199 worth of plants in April, received 1/2 the order 6/16 which was all dead! Was still charged for entire order. Will not respond to any communications. Tried to go through credit card to reverse the charge and they are fighting it insisting they sent entire order."
"It has never dawned on me that a company could be so unaware that the product they are sending is dead. No one answers the phone and when emailed a complaint. I received the same generic response 4 times. Dont throw away your mailing bag. They wont give you a refund unless all are mailed back. I was hoping I was wrong and some were just dormant and planted anyway and only 5 Ranunculus out of 30,0 out of 6 painted red daisy, 0 out of 3 coneflower, I ordered a "collection" on 2 grew from those, 0 out of 3 black eyed susan, o butterfly blue delphinia, and the red maples were dead; had literally been snapped in half by the time I got them. Oh yeah, wait there are the "FREE" ones, nothing to grow there either.
I really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt because they were cheap but I sure learned my lesson. Mailing in my shipping label today for replacements because that is all I can get."
"I ordered on March 19th.
On April 26th I have emailed them asking for an update on my order. They said it’s still in progress. On their website it says 2-3 weeks it’s been over a month at that point. I asked them to cancel. They sent back an email saying they will cancel. A month later I emailed back asking where the refund is. They said the order is still being processed. I asked to cancel once again. 2 weeks later they sent me a shipping number. It never came. I contacted my bank asking for money back. On July 3rd, 5 months later, I got a letter in the mail saying I owe them money because the product was delivered. I asked them to cancel my order 2 times, I never got my order, and they still want me to pay them. "
