"I had the same experience with freerecycling.com. The operation is a sham. After trying to collect for a year via repeated emails, I fianlly conducted a search for the telephone contact information for Ursula Schoeneich, President and CEO and found it in a Press Release entry on PRWeb:

She was always too busy to talk and, by way of a dismissal, said we would be getting a check soon. That was 5 months ago. I'm not wasting any more time."
"Here's my experience time-line:
===============================
OCTOBER 14, 2007: Received my new account package via email
OCTOBER 18, 2007: Mailed off my package of Lexmark Cartridges (7x82, 8x83 and 1x88) for total of $24.30 per purchase listing of that day (NC to CA shipment)
NOVEMBER 13, 2007: No communication from FreeRecycling, no PayPal payment rcvd, I submit a Customer Service inquiry
NOVEMBER 14, 2007: Quickly receive response email from FreeRecycling's top gal "Processed, statement issued amount of PayPal transfer $ 24.30 by tomorrow morning!"
NOVEMBER 16, 2007: PayPal payment not recived - it is now 2 days late - I email back to let her know.
NO RESPONSE FROM FREERECYCLING!
DECEMBER 6, 2007: 3+ weeks later, no response or payment, I email again
DECEMBER 11, 2007: Still no response or payment, I decide I must warn others regarding my experience
** UPDATES! (1/28/2008) **
JANUARY 15, 2008: Receive letter with statement showing receipt of my $24.30 of cartridges on 11/7 last year, still no payment received over two months later.
JANUARY 22, 2008: Receive another letter pitching their business, and asking me to verify my account details, still no payment.
JANUARY 28, 2008: Finally - PAYMENT! An email arrived from PayPal saying I had to accept a payment from FreeRecycling.Com. PayPal took a $1 fee, so maybe it would be better to have opted for a check. But anyway - I was FINALLY paid, but it took them over TWO FULL MONTHS!
Use extreme caution, and spring the $0.50 for package tracking otherwise you have no recourse. Might wish to avoid FreeRecycling issues (VERY slow to pay!) and get the free ream of paper (per cartridge) from Office Depot instead."
