"DRIVER FORGED MY SIGNATURE TWICE ON DELIVERY RECEIPT AND TRIED TO CHARGE ME AN EXTRA $300! FREIGHTQUOTE BACKED HIM UP, BUT LAW ENFORCEMENT DID NOT! DRIVER TERMINATED, CRIMINAL CHARGES HAVE BEEN FILED AS WELL BUT FREIGHTQUOTE STILL WANTS EXTRA $! A CHARGEBACK TO COME!!! DO NOT TRUST FREIGHTQUOTE.COM"
"Freightquote provided a quote for shipping two coin-operated arcade machines cross country. Shipment was discussed with Freightquote and discussions by others with Freightquote were documented online. Arcades routine ship with classification code 100 or 125. Dimensions were provided by seller with 20 years experience (as the largest arcade auctioneer) palletizing games. Freightquote sent out the quote, with a total of $484 for this shipment from Frontline Carrier Systems. The Bill of Lading was specific to item, class, weight, size. Item was picked up and arrived two weeks later. Two weeks AFTER that I receive notification by email that an adjustment in the amount of $782.96 was being levied against my shipment, yes 2.5X the original amount ! Stated that the weight class and the dimensions were wrong. Hmm funny they had no issues except after the fact. Out of curiosity I re-quoted on Freightquote the same trip but assumed their claimed class, dimensions and weights. THE SAME CARRIER (Frontline) that picked up the shipment in June, quotes $767 TOTAL, not the $1267 I was charged. So lets go thru this: 1) All relevant shipment information was provided both to Freightquote and transmitted to their contractor Frontline 2) Having all the relevant information Freightquote approved and carrier dutifully picked it up without complaint 3) 2 weeks after dropoff later levy a 2X surcharge, saying I got it wrong on the BOL. Thats their story and they are sticking to it. Shame on Freightquote and Frontline for their highly deceptive practices. Avoid them. Stick with legit shippers like Fedex and DHL."
"I used freightquote in march 2022 and it was mostly okay. I used them again in June 2022 and it was by far the worst shipping experience of my life. Over the span of 2 weeks they scheduled my pickup 5 different times and days. After each time they failed to pickup my shipment I was PROMISED it would be picked up tomorrow or the next business day. This involved me setting the pallet up each time and tearing it down and bringing it back inside each time. I even had to miss work multiple times. I was lied to by freightquote representatives on the phone and once they claimed my shipment was picked up and marked it as such... it was not. After all this they finally managed to pick my shipment up and it was multiple days late than their estimate at time of pickup. You would think they would toss me a partial refund on my order for the insane hassle they caused me. Nope. Instead they decide to try and upcharge me a $60 fee. I paid for liftgate at both ends and my pallet weighed 140 pounds and was small. Should never of had an upcharge. Furthermore I investigated my bank account and found they had charged me the same bull$#*! fee on my first shipment in march a month after I originally paid. Do not use this scummy company."
"Damaged my shipment. They don't care and gave me the run around. Shame 9n them. . .ship with any other company. "
"A shipment to Colorado was charged to my CC (before shipping out!) for $293.40 for a US pallet 24" high. After delivery FreightQuote charged my CC for another $232.52. Bogus charges were: LTL Reclassification: $120.92, Inspection Fee: $15.00, Sort & Segregate: $96.60. Carrier was Central Transport. When contacted they said that the height of pallet was 47"! But no change in weight! Wait a second. ALL pallets in a truck occupy ONE space. They are never ever stacked so whether the height is 24" or 47" does not change anything especially since there is no charge for change of weight!! This was the third time additional charges were added to our shipment with no justification whatsoever. I closed my account with them. Since then a new rep contacted me with numerous emails stating: "Will work with at costs!" Bogus!!
As someone mentioned your bank will reject any Charge Back. HC Robinson (owner of the company) has sealed their scam with their lawyers, Their BOL states that you will accept ANY subsequent charges!!
Stay away from these thieves!"
"Ian Brennan is my sales representative, every time that I ordered a shipment I texted him the freight description but he made alot of mistakes that they want me to pay.
I spoke to his boss but again unprofessional company and management never called me back instead they have Ian to call me after 3 weeks that he was told by his boss to call me now they sent me to collection.
Very disappointed because weeks after they delivered and the freight was paid in full they find way to keep you charging.
"
"I ordered a pallet from directliquidations.com and freightquote was the cheapest shipper. The class on the pallet was chosen by the freightquote and they charged me for the shipment. Fast forward three Months later, and the Company is seeking legal action against me for $137, or they're willing to settle for $75. I have no choice but to pay the bill or they will sue me for the $137+ legal fees, interest, cost of filing a law suit and on and on. Threats!!! I hope the economy spits this company out and they go bankrupt!!!"
"In October of 2019 I searched several freight forwarding quote services and picked freightquote.com as they had a slightly less expensive quote than others (around $100). Several weeks afterwards I noticed that my credit card was charged an additional $75 and that they had sent me an email saying they had forgotten to charge me for liftgate services. Firstly, I could not believe that the company can store my credit card number and charge me many weeks later without my express permission (please consider disputing such charge through your credit card company, if you faced this). Secondly, these guys are using unethical practices to bait customers away from those companies that use more legitimate business practices. Shame on you!"
"DEAR INTERNET USERS WHO ARE LOOKING TO SHOP FREIGHTS ONLINE.
DO NOT AGAIN, Do not use this company because on two occasions they messed up my order.
My product was suppose to arrive in one week for an event. 1st order took 1 month to delivery. Not even exaggerating, but 1 whole month to deliver. We had to call and coordinate the delivery, Freightquote couldn't care less.
2nd shipment. They, said the product would deliver in a week, and apologize for the first shipment so then it was delayed another month, then eventually they lost my merchandise. So upset as we are we demanded our shipment cost back. They basically told us to file a claim with the person who actually delivered it. I am like, well we paid you guys... They would not refund us so we did a charge back.. Now ERIC BAREFIELD is trying to send me to collections. I told him that you guys lost my shipment and he said, we are not disputing the fact we lost your shipment, but we need you to pay us back for the freight chargeback.
WOW , JUST WOW.....
Scam Freightquote.com
Freightquote.com NOT GOOD
Freightquote.com Doesn't Care for Customers
Beware ERIC BAREFIELD"
"
I am livid to say the least. The reps do not call you back and the carriers they contract are unreliable. If you book with a consolidated carrier...Beware!!! Your shipment will take 3-4 weeks to deliver even though their site advertises 6 business days for transit time. The site doesn't really clearly state which carrier is consolidated!!! Additionally, Roadrunner lost the shipment and provide untruthful updates. I have a shipment that was picked up on 10.29 and today is 11.18th - still not delivered! I am at my wits end! This is a nightmare!"
"They failed to pick up a full truck load shipment for the third time. They have cost my company thousands of dollars in lost revenue based on absolute incompetence and failure to broker qualified trucking companies. They have lost my business forever. I would highly recommend you find another carrier who takes responsibility for their commitments and promises. I guarantee you will be disappointed if you use this company. "
"SCAM 1;They charged $75 for limited access to an industrial park.
100's of 18 wheelers come and go/day.
Never ever happened w another companies in the last 800+ shipments.
SCAM 2;Then they charged me $75 "liftgate" fee for unloading 2 pallets which I unloaded myself with my own forklift.
SCAM 3; In the dispute emails the original quote changed from $320 to $470 with no explanation AFTER delivery.
My card was charged for $620 instead the $320.Your bank won't be able to help in similar case.
Neverending phonecalls. They blame the subcontractor subcontractor blames Freightquote.com.
You'll lose time money and probably some of your merchandise as well.
LOSS 3;Use custom made printed shrink foil to make sure they don't touch your shipment."
"Terrible choice of freight transfer, they overcharged us $160 because we didn't have a dock, but we did have a dock, they relied on google maps to look at facility and they kept claiming our facility was Public Storage next door, there are many other freight companies to get quotes from I would suggest you use them instead of these people, names are Zachary & Jodi"
"I have used this company in the past and had a horrible customer service experience. I then tried again years later thinking maybe they have improved their service but I was sorely mistaken. I am not new to shipping and currently spend 7 figures in shipping every year via Ocean, LTL, truckload and some rail. I point is I understand shipping enough and coupled with my common sense have a fair idea on what service level I should get. I unfortunately used a consolidator for my shipment via Freightquote which quoted me 7-8 business days from midwest to west coast. Now I find out the day it should be delivered that its still in Chicago waiting for a lane.
Now I am told maybe it might be shipped by the 20th of this month which is now 18 days after being picked up. Now I understand that the shipping time is NOT guaranteed but I feel that Freightquote should at least put a disclaimer on all consolidators that the quoted time is really not realistic and may be up to a year. That's right, my rep Sam Warhol told me technically they can deliver my item a year later.
Well that is just great, so that is further reason to actually put on that shipper quote that they have up to a year to deliver since they are a freight consolidator. My inept rep. Sam then proceeds to argue with me that I should know better, and that it's all in their 5K word terms and conditions at the bottom of their site. Well that technically is true, I also believe that companies knowing this is an issue should highlight that in the quote section that your deliver can take up to a year. They won't do that though as it would render that vendor useless and more than likely no one would use them. They are sure to highlight the insurance value limit and try to upsell you insurance (cause they make money on this) so why they can't put a simply pop up next to the consolidators quote that simply says hey this eta is a loose estimated time and may take up to a year for delivery. Hell I would have accepted a simple 30 days for delivery and that would have been enough for me to choose another carrier. Mind you I am not talking about 2,3 or even 7 days late- I am talking hopefully getting my shipment 15-20 days after the quoted time frame.
Stay as far away from this company and this rep Sam Warhol as possible. To not heed my warning is to invite russian roulette to your delivery or items."
"Similar experiences as the other two. Long delays, damaged goods, small print gotcha tactics... just the worst. Avoid this bunch of lying thieves at all cost."
