Wasted my time

"I chose this company because I have purchased items at their brick and mortar store on Broadway (Vancouver), so I felt assured this wasn't just a reseller operation being run out of someone's garage. For my computer order, turns out they are simply a drop shipping operation. That is fine, but customer care becomes the most important thing. The web-site says "Ships today! " BS!!
After confirming my purchase and charges, things just dragged on for almost a month. I won't say they lied, but they did make multiple statements were that factually incorrect. Claiming that they had what I wanted coming in to "their" warehouse in a couple of days when I placed my order and confirmed payment, and one unit would be mine. This then gave way to a series of excuses as time dragged on. Over a week after the central warehouse in Ontario showed availability on every other company's website, my unit was finally shipped. Shipment docs showed that it had shipped directly from Ontario. That is funny because they had told me that my unit had come in to the Vancouver warehouse the week before and would be turned around to ship to me in "a day or two".
In the end, I was shipped what I had paid for, but much later than it would have been with other companies I have dealt with. If they tell you they have their own warehouse and incoming stock, you are likely being told an untruth.

No returns here if box opened!

"Just to let everyone know, there are no returns at Frontier PC if box opened. They are not going to tell you this when you are purchasing there.
Last week I bought Chromebook there and the same day when trying to set it up I learned that Skype is not working at Chromebook (this was going to be a gift for grandma who lives far away). Took it back right away and they wouldn't take it back because the box was opened. How else are you supposed to know if the product is good or not?! Who buys a gadget to keep it in the box for a day or so and returns it back in an unopened box??!!!
So if you want to save a couple of bucks, you are not going to because at Frontier it just might cost you entire amount. If you don't care to buy from a reputable place which stands behind its product (all other stores would take it back, exception are a few smaller stores that would charge you re-stocking fee. I checked out today.), then just go to Craigslist and you will get even better deal with the same terms and conditions this place offers! Do not throw your money at Frontier PC!
Oh not to forget, Berry hung up when I called to complain... what a customer service...

"I found their web pricing was more competitive than CDW's business quotes (which offer a discount on their web pricing). Customer service from Cameron was amazing - we had a lot of back and forth, but not only was he patient, but he answered out of hours. Previous orders have been shipped quick and very competitively priced. I always buy ink and toner here rather than Staples or CDW."

"So I purchased the Fugoo Tough Bluetooth Speaker (awesome by the way), and wanted the waterproof wrist remote to go with it. I wanted to find a Canadian seller to avoid import charges and delays, and a google search brought me to Frontier PC's website. I spoke with Jamie there who assured me they had a dozen arriving Sept 17. That day came and went, and then I was promised delivery for the end of October. That day came and went. They were VERY slow to respond to my inquiries, and at one point near the end I asked them to change the order to a more expensive option with more Fugoo accessories. They said no, they could not change a "special order" - even though the only reason I placed an order with them in the first place was because they had supposedly been bringing stock in, which is NOT a special order. When I called back to confirm end of October shipment, Jamie also said the product had arrived and was being shipped out to me right away and would give me a tracking number soon. A week later, no product, no tracking number provided, I emailed Jamie back to see what was going on. Two days later he responded that the product had been discontinued and they were refunding my money in full. He was WRONG about the product being discontinued, Fugoo confirmed with me that there is simply a delay in getting the product out, but at that point I was just happy to get out of the situation with my money back. And excuse me, shouldn't Frontier PC be following up with the manufacturer instead of the customer? What's the point in paying them the markup if they need their customers to find out what's going on with their product lines??? AWFUL customer service, AWFUL product knowledge, AWFUL experience. I will tell everyone I know to avoid them like the plague. After I confirm my money has been refunded back on my CC I will share this review with them. And by the way, you can get a better price from other suppliers - so you have NO REASON to shop there."

"Beware- if you order online the item may not be returnable, even for credit. I ordered a plastic monitor stand in haste, opened the box, realized it was not the right one and they declined a request to return simply because the box is open. I can understand not taking back an opened hard drive, but a plastic stand? Seems a little extreme, especially in the age of amazing return policies from Amazon, New Egg, Tigerdirect etc. etc. Either these guys update their return policies to the 21st Century, or they go the way of the Dodo. At this point, I hope for the latter."

"This is the worst online company I have dealt with in over 16 years of buying online! There are only 2 people who answer the phones or email. Not a real operation. Got FAKE Zebra labels and got stuck with them!
They kept blaming it on me immediately saying it was my fault. They are the ones that told me which ones to but for the model I had.

"I ordered a chair, and paid $10 shipping from a warehouse 3 hrs away. I didn't receive any emails with a confirmation or tracking number so I called the company. They then informed me that I would have to pick it up because they don't ship heavy items like that. What was the $10 shipping for? Apparently that's a charge for pickup.... Wtf? So I cancelled my order and asked for my credit card and profile info to be deleted from the site and was informed they cannot do this for legal reasons. I would advise you not to order from these false advertising jerks. Their website says fast delivery anywhere to Canada. Apparently that's only if they feel like it."

"Their prices are good. The order arrived pretty quickly but they shipped to me someone else's order and it's taking two weeks to deliver the correct item to me. Haven't got my stuff yet. Hard to track what's going on, had to call them about 10 times."

"I recently purchased a D-Link DNS-343 Network Accessible RAID server and 4 1.5TB Western Digital drives from Cameron Vanderraad ***-***-**** x113) at FrontierPC. The price and availability were better than all the other retailers or resellers that I contacted. Furthermore, Cameron invested a considerable amount of time researching the compatibility of the WD drives with the server. Best of all, the entire system was ready for pickup at their local warehouse the next day. Cameron was knowledgeable, efficient, and knew when to say that he did not have an answer and find out. FrontierPC should be the service standard for other vendors."

"Worst Customer Experience Ever.

Their return policy is unclear on their website and they will not accept phone calls to discuss returns or exchanges. Even their sales staff is reluctant to discuss their return policy and refers clients to their website. In addition there is a minimum $100 order, and all orders less than $100 are charged an additional $10 fee which is added to your order. This $10 fee is in ADDITION to their $10 shipping and handling fee. It's no wonder that I prefer to deal with U.S. retailers, at least their returns and exchange policies are customer focused.

"Ordered a Lexmark E352dn laser printer to replace a Lexmark S1855 unit I had before. The printer arrived in a mere 2 days! Because I had other things to do it took me 4 weeks to get to hooking the unit up. It jammed on the very first page, an internally generated test page! I called Lexmark customer support who confirmed the worst, the fuser error message on it was termnial and it had to be shipped back. I contacted to Frontier where I spoke with a real person and explained everything to them. The problem was Lexmark's not Frontier's. Given a choice between a refund and a new printer I thought I would give it a second try. Within 2 hours I had an email clearly explaining the steps to be taken, RMA # and courier instructions. Back to Toronto it went and within two weeks I had a new unit delivered via UPS ground. This printer has worked well so far. I have no qualms or reservations about ordering from Frontier. They had the best price, real people and are able to quickly handle product failures as was the case of my first E352dn!"

"I first ordered because I couldn't find a certain item at the etailer I usually buy from. After I made the order I found it at my favourite regular etailer for a lower price, so I canceled the order. I hadn't dealt with FrontierPC much and was more comfortable with the etailer I usually deal with. Salespeople were very understanding and nice."
