Unfortunately, if you are like me, you are reading this review after already having had issues with the company.
My situation: ordered a Lane Cedar Chest 4/2/11. Waited 45 days with no delivery. Called weekly from day 45 to day 60. Cancelled order at day 90. Vigorously complained for three weeks until I finally received a refund.
After three weeks of phone complaining, I did the following:
File a complaint with the BBB and IC3 complaints. Dispute the charges with your credit card / bank.
Forward all of these confirmation emails to the owner: ****@**** and cc a copy to ****@****. Accompany the emails with a simple demand that you wish to have this reimburse with 48 hours.
I was refunded in under 12 hours after taking this approach.

"I ordered a Lane cedar chest on March 11. I was told it would take 30-45 days. On day 44 I emailed them because I knew that if it went past 45 days I could no longer file a dispute with paypal. They promptly responded and was very nice and said they were very sorry that they had not recieved my item yet and that it would take 45-60 days. I assumed they probably had to order in large qnty or something to get those prices so even though I was reluctant I decided to wait. I informed them I wasn't happy about it and that my item had dropped in price by $134 in the meantime. They said they would refund me the $134 so I was happy and assumed I would get my refund and my product within a couple of weeks. Then I started reading reviews and got worried ( a little late...usually I'm really good about that sort ofthing), but figured I would wait as I have ordered couches before that had to be shipped from china and they had to wait for a full container and it took 4 mos...but that company was upfront about that so I knew that would happen......furniturebuzz never told me their system worked that way, but in my mind I was assuming. well....on day 69 I emailed them and asked them to explain to me why I should wait this long, what was their reason it takes so long. If they could please explain to me their process so I knew if I should continue to wait...I then expressed my dissatisfaction with the fact they never did refund my $134. The response I got was one line "WE have not recieved your order yet". Red flag went up everywhere. No explanation as to why it takes this long no explanation as to why I didn't get my refund. I immediately went to paypal and the BBB. I asked them to cancel my order. Paypal was very little help becuase it was past 45 days, but they did file the complaint on the phone and sent the complaint to the company. The company canceled my order. 4 days later I filed the bbb complaint. 2 Days after that I got a refund. I was shocked.....but I have a feeling had I not gone to the proper chanels...I don't think i would have gotten the refund that quickly, most people waited a long time for a refund. At least based on past reviews. Maybe....but I wasnt' going to chance it. Definately buy at your own risk. They may eventually get your item to you, but it will take months and they aren't not very honest with the way their business works so I would never take a chance on them again."
"Ordered a bed on 4/1/11, said it would ship in 7-21 days. Still do not have the bed. Customer service does not answer and I am getting nervous that I may not get my bed. I have contacted them to cancel the order and put the money back on my credit card but have received no response. My next step is to file a fraud complaint wiht my credit card to get my money back. "This is the worst company I have ever dealt with, not only did they promise delivery of my dresser/changing table in 2-4 week and break that promise, their customer service is non-existent! I ordered the dresser on 3/28/11 it is now 5/15/11 and still no dresser and they didn't even have the courtesy to explain why the long delay. "Ordered a desk on Feb 18 2011,was supposed to be shipped in two days,after two weeks i began calling customer service,told the same thing over and over,after 6 weeks I cancelled the original order,and replace it with an item thas was again supposed to be in stock,after two weeks it still had not been shipped,I called customer service until I was blue in the face,finally filed a complaint with BBB,and forwarded them a copy,that was on a wednesday,the following monday I got my desk,then a week lated got the refund from the original order,low prices are great if you can get the merchandise,these people are pitiful."
"I ordered a file cabinet from FurnitureBuzz.com on February 7th because the price was better than anywhere else plus free shipping. It wasn't until I ordered and paid that I was alerted that the product would take 21-30 days to arrive. After 40 days I called and asked about it and (after being on hold for 15 minutes) was told later that week it would arrive. Called again a week later and was told pretty much the same story. In the end, it took 57 days for my furniture to arrive. I'd pay the extra cost ordering from another store to avoid this hassle."
"i am going to add and agree with everybody else that has committed on this so called company. i plced an order back on dec 2nd 2010. i waited a month and a half and received nothing and heard nothing. called several times and was put on hold for 20 min everytime (i think this is there policy hoping you will hang up). i cancelled the order and demanded a refund of my 275.00. the date now is april 10 2011 and still no refund. where else can you supposidly buy something cancell it await 5 plus months and still no refund. i am going to get my bank involved and report to the bbb. i will call once more and be put on hold for 20 min and demand my money. this place should be shut down. after i get my refund of course. good luck everbody else"
"The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I ordered the furniture in the middle of January and by the end of March it still has not shipped. Everytime I called they said it would ship in two weeks but they were flat out lying. Someone there finally told me the truth and they order all their furniture in bulk so you are stuck waiting until they have ordered enough furniture from one vendor. Do yourself a favor and stay away!

"Ordered diningroom set Dec 28 & my VISA was charged entire amount. Customer service rep put me on hold to confirm the item was in stock & should be delivered in 3-4 weeks. After 3 weeks of hearing nothing I called & was told it would take 8 weeks because this item comes from over seas. Called back in 8 weeks after hearing nothing & was told this distributor is behind 3 weeks. Silly me I wait 3 weeks & no one can tell me what is going on. I cancelled order & disputed charge on VISA. Make sure you do your homework on the internet & stay clear of this kind of retailer. Harder for them to hide when we can all leave an opinion."

I guess I'll add to the litany of terrible reviews...and call myself all kinds of stupid for not looking at them BEFORE I made the idiot decision to do business with them. You can read my detailed information at epinions.com (I just don't have the energy to write it all again, and it would probably run to over 5000 characters) titled "Absolutely HORRIBLE!"
Everything about them is one big lie or deception after another. From the product information page, to the availability status, to pretty much everything else. In fact, after reading the reviews here, it's even worse than I thought.
The other reviews I've read (regarding orders not even being submitted to manufacturers/distributors) are leading me to believe that they can't order anything because they can't pay for it.
Sort of like a mini Ponzi scheme where they get our money, use it for God knows what until they can actually afford to send an order for a customer, then, which is the case, more often than not, making customers wait an inordinate length of time for refunds, because they need that money for some other purpose, or they don't actually have the money to refund.
I did the smart thing and cancelled my order last Friday morning, 11 March 2011, without waiting 4th "probably will ship in 7 to 10 days" lie. On being told it would be 15 to 20 days before I'd get a refund, I did the next smart thing and called my bank to initiate the dispute/claim/fraud process on my Visa card.
Since I just cancelled, my bank said I needed to wait 15 days (their policy) to see if the refund showed up. On day 16 I'm to call them and have them activate it (they already gave me a claim number).
DON'T wait to see if your refund shows up; call your bank or credit card company and begin the claim process. In all the years I've purchased things, online and off, it's never taken me more than 5 days to actually see a refund, from ANYONE.
In fact, I don't think I've ever been charged for something until the merchandise has actually shipped, or is about to. Having the amount as "pending" is normal; being actually charged, immediately, with no expectation of shipping in the foreseeable future is something I've never actually run into before. Even with ebay purchases that I've paid for immediately, no one's ever NOT shipped on the next available day.
Too bad I didn't read any reviews BEFORE I talked myself into ordering my furniture. Lesson learned.
Let's just hope they're not on the verge of bankruptcy which means we'll never see our money. Say a prayer that's not the case.
My particular order was for the Seaside Dreams by Lea Furniture dresser and nightstand in Pink Taffy. Ordered on 17 January (it may have been the 16th, but I'm going by the UPDATE email I got where they THEN informed me it would be shipped (estimated) from the manufacturer in "30 to 45 days." The last straw, on Friday, was when they told me Lea Furniture wasn't actually the manufacturer and they were waiting on the furniture from somewhere "overseas."
From the "bait and switch" on their alleged Free Shipping (you have to offload it yourself from the truck it arrives on, unless it's a flat pack that doesn't weigh more than 75 pounds and can be delivered by UPS or FedEx), where you'll actually have to pay around $175.00 just to get it put inside your garage or front door, to charging for merchandise that won't ship in the foreseeable future, to making customers wait an inordinate length of time to get a refund, this is one company that NO ONE should buy from.
Absolutely do NOT purchase from them, under any circumstances. And, YES, I AM telling you what to do, if you know what's good for you, LOL.
Update: I've filed claims with the BBB and IC3 (FBI's internet fraud department) and sent a formal demand (copy to the BBB) for an immediate refund."
"I ordered a desk from Furniturebuzz.com online February 8, 2011. Within 5 minutes they withdrew funds ($221.53) from my checking account. When I had not received the desk buy the 19th I called their 800 number to inquire as to shipping date, they informed me that they did not have the desk in stock and they had to do a bulk order from their supplier (Sauder) and it would up to another 30 days or so until they would ship. I cancelled the order and requested a refund of my money. I’m still waiting for my refund. I’ve called several times and spoke to Anthony and George who inform me that there is nothing they can do! And that it could take up to 30 days to process my refund. I don’t think I will se my money. I’ve never had a supplier, first, take payment when they are not able to ship and secondly, not refund payment within a day or two following order cancellation. Today is day 30 guess what? I've still not heard from them or received my refund"

Told that they "just received the truck with your tv stand. It is currently processing in our warehouse and should ship in the next day or two" on 1/27. Followed up multiple times, no reply. Finally rec'd reply on 2/11 that item was not available from maunfacturer. N0 explanation, no apology, no refund. Disputing with credit card company. Jordan and Robert from Furniture Buzz, YOU SUCK."
"One of the worst retailers ever.
October 7, 2010: initial order through Furniturebuzz.com paid in full $700 via Paypal.
Was repeatedly told that “the item will ship in a couple of weeks.”
Early November 2010: Called the actual manufacturer of the furniture and was told that they had the furniture in stock but they were unable to do anything about it (ship it) until FurnitureBuzz actually initiated an order. Called FurnitureBuzz and told them that the furniture was available at the manufacturer for shipment.
December 10: Furniture arrived damaged, returned merchandise before delivery was released, called FurnitureBuzz and requested refund, was told that it would take 15 business days to process refund.
December 15: Called Furniture Buzz and was told that the refund would still take 15 business days.
December 21: Called and was told that it would still be 15 business days from the date of the refund request for the refund to be processed, CSR said he would go down to accounting personally and request that the refund be processed as quickly as possible.
December 24: Called and was told that it would still be 15 business days to process refund.
December 31: Called and was told that it would still be 15 business days from the date of the refund request. When I mentioned that it had been 15 business days, CSR said he would go down to accounting personally again and request that the refund be processed as quickly as possible.
January 3: Called again and asked to speak with supervisor, Robert, who said that our refund request was at the top of the list and that they "should get to it this week."
January 10: Called again, Furniturebuzz will release the payment either today or tomorrow (more likely).
January 11: Called again,inquired on status of refund. She said the accounting department was out to lunch but she would check on the refund when they got back and would send us an email. Never received email, did receive refund.
Main Issues:
1. It has been over 15 business days and no refund has been received. They have kept our money for almost 90 calendar days with (a) no product, and (b) no progress on a refund until 1/11/11.
2. We were never told during the purchase process that the item was not going to ship in a timely manner, but continually told “it would ship in the next two weeks.” The item didn't arrive for over 60 days, if we had known that it would take that long we would not have ordered the furniture in the first place. This lack of transparency and forthrightness is downright maddening and unethical.
3. They represented that they are a BBB-accredited business on the website, however, according to the BBB website, furniturebuzz.com is not accredited and gets a “F” rating. As of 2/1, the BBB seal has been removed from their website.
What a joke of a business, too bad we fell for it.
