"I placed an order with this vendor on April 28th, it is now June (over 5 weeks later), and it has not arrived. Vendor first claimed that item was in stock, then informed me that it had to be built. The microcontroller specified for the board was obsolete, when asked about shipping with the replacement part they claimed that they populated it with the older part. The vendor tools no longer support this part which makes the board useless. Detailed technical questions on this matter went unanswered. Finally, they claimed that it had shipped, but were unable to provide any tracking information. When asked about it, they responded that it would be forthcoming, but again, no answer. The purpose of this purchase was to build a prototype, but in that time I was able to design, layout and build my own board, which makes it a moot point. Utter waste of money."

"First 2 years great! Payments taken in a day, delivered (AUST) in a week now, its closer to just over a month now holding orders for 20cent items despite emails saying to disregard incomplete orders.
One time was 6 months no follow up emails or acknowlegements. Email comunication is poor!
Too many departments and buck passing.... you will get your stuff, but quicker and cheaper on ebay when you have to wait long periods.

I ordered many things from them. they arrived in pristine condition, and @ faster speed than ordering from China (aliExpress wants picture of my: Passport, driver license, ID card, bank statements, set of payment cards & any other personal information that might help identify me for credit card verification. Handing out that information is against my credit card policy. NOW, THAT is a SCAM.) maybe, Futurelec competition doesn't like them. I ordered a SMALL amount @ 1'st because of bad reviews. however, it is packaged NICER, arrived NOT damaged (unlike MOST Chinese competitors), and arrived FASTER than China."
"I placed an order for MAX038 chips, shown as being in stock on Futurlec's web site. I knew the part was out of production, but took a chance that they actually had some. This was on April 27, 2016. My credit card was immediately charged $52.29 at the time of the order.
On May 23, 2016 I made an inquiry about the status of the order since I had received no communications from Futurlec other than the original order confirmation. They immediately responded and said they could not obtain the part, did I want to cancel the order. I replied on May 26th and said please cancel the order. They replied that the order would be cancelled and my money refunded in 5 - 7 days. As of June 23, 2016 I've had no refund, and received no further communications from them.
I've emailed again asking about the refund. So far, no response. Very disappointing, I wish I'd read reviews about them before placing my order. Though they appear to have good prices, the fact that they've taken my money and shipped nothing, and not returned my payment, make me rate them as "Very High Priced"."
"Let me say that after reading the reviews here and other places I started to get the feeling that I made a mistake ordering from them. I know I should have read the reviews before ordering.
I ordered on May 7th. and had not heard anything from them on the 11th. so I emailed them at 10pm. The following morning I had an email from them saying my order had shipped. Today May 27th. the order arrived. I ordered 1 - Diode value pack, 1-Electrolytic Capacitor value pack, 1-Ceramic Capacitor value kit and 1-Transistor value pack. Everything is exactly as I ordered.
All in all I'm satisfied. I knew I was in for a wait because it was coming from overseas. I'm just restocking so I was fine with the slower delivery time. I also saved a ton by ordering from them compared to Mouser or any other of the places I order from. $18.80 went a long way with this purchase!!
And if you're wondering... NO I DO NOT work for and I'm not affiliated with Futurlec.

30 april 2016 almost(3)months now ''i got no parts'' and i still wait for my refund, i send them (2) more emails, they never answer me or try to contact me after they promess to refund me
just think about it, if this company is ready to screw a customer and loose his reputation for a ridiculous $ 6.10 WOW it tells a lot about their commercial practice and honesty and their lack of professionalism, because all that time the item was still mark as ''in stock''on their internet
