"I purchased a Samsung Toner Cartridge that was advertised as an OEM replacement, not just a compatible product. After 18 days, I received the product and once I installed it, I received a "Toner Not Compatible" message. After hours on the internet trying to get it to work, I called Samsung and once I gave them the part number, they told me that the cartridge was from Europe. Sure enough, the box clearly stated "For Sale Only in Europe." After expressing my disappointment to Grooves, they said that I should have known because they were a German company. They didn't see a problem with selling a product meant only for Europe within the United States, compatible or not. It's one thing to make a mistake, but something completely different when you don't stand by it."

"I can only base my review on my single purchase, but I'm extremely happy. I bought a Braun 9 series shaver for half the price I could in Australia. Even though I ordered it roughly 2 weeks ago, it arrived before Christmas. It was well packed and everything was as it should be. Communications from Grooves was great. There was a slight delay receiving it from the supplier, but I was kept up to date at all times. Would not hesitate to buy from them again.
Oh and to Bronwein below... are you sure you are not confusing the currency they charge you in with the currency conversion tool (i.e. show you prices in $US) available on the site? I have a credit card that does not charge foreign transaction fees and was charged in €. Not surprising as Grooves are based in Germany."
"Easy! do not buy anything from them! Be careful with the hidden costs! When you choose the currency you wish to pay they will charge you in other one! Once I have purchased the item they sent me three different bills in different currency, WTF??? I have contacted their customer service and they do not care, I am still waiting a response. "Always in search of good deals and an alternative to the influences of Amazon, my first order with Grooves has left me with a credit card charge but no merchandise. No response from a status request. The order was placed on October 18. My inquiry was made November 18.
I see no option other than to dispute the charge with the credit card company.
UNETHICAL is a descriptive word appropriate for any business that doesn't honor an order especially when their new asking price for the compact disc is not only jacked up to over twice the order price. The asking price now is 50% more that what is asked by the top-priced seller on Amazon marketplace.

"I ordered two albums shown as 'in stock' on Dec 1. On Dec 9, I emailed them to ask why my order is still processing and not shipped. They replied back within 24 hours apologizing that they did not have one or both items ordered in stock and are waiting to get one or both in. I replied back immediately asking for details and for them to refund the one they don't have and ship what they do. No reply. It's Dec 15, I've contacted them twice since and nothing. I see the reviews state the company will suck the cost of your fraudulent non working product through shipping it back to Germany. "I purchased DVD's from them that were advertised to work in the US. The DVD's did not work.
They promised to refund the cost and reimburse me for the shipping.
I shipped the DVD's back to Germany only to find out that they did not pick the DVD's from the post office. As such they were returned back to me.
Now they want me to reship them and are refusing to reimburse me for the shipping until I do.
They are not a good company to work with and still owe me for shipping costs!"
"Update: ordered the same CD in November as in our last order (just to see how much their service level has changed if nothing else). After 1 week no update, we called in (to Germany) and were told it would be shipped out at the end of that week the latest. Another 10 days went by and we heard nothing. So we sent email this time asking for an update. It turned out they never had it in stock at all even though their website showed otherwise this whole time. 3 weeks waiting since the order was placed and never once were we told that the CDs we ordered were not available from manufacturer, as we were finally told via email. They don't even give you a refund unless you ask for it. We could have waited another month, forgotten about the order, and never gotten either CD or money back had we not followed it up on our own. And the funny thing is that they still show the same CDs still in stock on their website even now.

1 word: HORRIBLE! NO goods so far, and NO refund!! 3 out of 4 email were ignored. we paid via paypal. ordered 2 CDs on June 8, sent 4 separate email between then and today 16 June inquiring the status. in our 2nd email, 4 days after order date requesting cancellation (since we didn't hear from them after 1st email), and today June 16 they said it was too late to cancel AFTER they sent 1 of the CDs TODAY?! the fact that they said they sent today 1 CD (out of 2 ordered) only AFTER our 4th email and told us that the other CD was too late to cancel, which we requested 4 days ago in our 2nd email, demonstrates the dishonesty of this merchant. HOW CAN YOU TELL CUSTOMERS THAT IT WAS TOO LATE TO CANCEL 1CD AND SENT THE OTHER OUT ON THE SAME DAY (the very same day we sent out 4th email inquiry) WHEN WE REQUESTED SUCH CANCELLATION DAYS AGO?
Still waiting on refund for the unshipped CD. Andrina is no good, asking us for bank details while we paid via paypal and ignoring our previous email. Refund via paypal is instant and everyone knows that. i got a feeling we will have to file a claim with paypal soon in order to get our money back. this retailer's customer service has suffered a serious fall in standard since its operation was transferred to germans from swiss 6 years ago."
"Ordered some CD's and toys from them a while back and they came in at a relatively quick shipping speed. It's a nice store that's located in Berlin but they still ship to the U.S so there is minor shipping damages but the item is still in good condition. Ignore some of the other reviews, their customer service is a bit slow but they're very friendly and will try to resolve your problem as humanly possible."
