"I've heard about Direct2Drive website selling PC games digitally online. But I've been wary about trying them out until I saw them having a sale for the game Painkiller for only $4.95. So, I felt why not give them a try? Boy, was I glad I did. The purchase process went smoothly and the download was fast. Upon finishing download, I just had to click on a button on their Download Manager to start the installation. The whole process was easy.
I later sent their customer service dept. a question regarding how to install the game in a new computer I plan on getting next year. They replied back within an hour with a very detailed explanation.
I love Direct2Drive! They sell games at good price and are pre-patched with the latest patches. I'll definitely start buying more games from them for sure. The entire purchase/installation/after service experience was excellent."

"I have been purchasing games from Direct2Drive for over a year now, and I couldn't be happier with their services. This is a huge improvement over buying games from a retail store on discs for a number of reasons. First, once you purchase a game, you have access to that file forever. If you get a new computer or your hard drive is corrupted, all you do is download the game again. No searching for discs, no losing activation keys (because they keep that info in your account online). I've found that purchasing digital games is also cheaper than buying the discs, especially when they have sales on certain games (which happens quite often, I've gotten some really good deals). The customer support is awesome too! I recently was trying to install a game I bought almost a year ago, but I had run out of activations for it. I simply asked for another key and within a day they gave me one and the game is working! And if you're not a fan of the Steam client, D2D is a good alternative since you don't need any additional software to run their games (although I do recommend their basic download manager). "

"I highly recommend Direct2Drive. I’ve bought about 10 games from them during the last few years. Games from them do not require a live Internet connection to play. They have great customer service, their prices are good, their download manager is excellent, they have a good selection and keep up to date on any patches.

I was already pleased with them but I had my first problem during my last purchase when it was incorrectly stated in the description that I was buying a stand-alone expansion. This was not the case and it wouldn’t install. I wrote them explaining the problem--customer service agreed and refunded my purchase within half a day.

"Direct2Drive is one of the best digital download sites out there. I used to only buy retail copies of games but after finding D2D during one of their AMAZING sales, I now regularly buy from them. They have great sales and their download service is for life, unlike other places with download limits or the Extended Download Service scam. Unlike STEAM, where if your account gets hacked or stolen or if you accept gifts from strangers you'll get a life ban and lose all your games, D2D has lifetime downloads, no client needed and awesome customer service. D2D customer service is top-notch. I recently purchased The Sims 3 and had issues installing it and contacted customer support, in a few hours I had a reply waiting in my inbox. When I replied with another question, it was answered ASAP with helpful links to their FAQ. That's the fastest customer support I've seen. EA took 2 days to respond, Steam 4, and Ubisoft took 6! D2D download speeds are great, I download 6GB in about 2.5 hours and purchased about 30 games from them and all worked fine. I've literally saved hundreds of dollars buying games off D2D and helped the environment in the process. I would occasionally get newsletters with coupons deals and even got a $5 gift credit during Christmas! I'm definitely a lifetime customer!"
