"I down loaded 2 of the 3 Elven Legacy expansions in October & November of last year. The purchasing transaction and susequent downloading was easy, hassle free and very quickly done.
Fast forward to August 2010. I wanted to go back and play the original Elven Legacy game again, but it was asking me for an activation code that does not come with the game and was never needed the first time I played. So I contacted Direct 2 Drive customer support.
After a few e-mail's, it turns out that I had purchased 'downloaded versions' to play with the cd-rom version of the original I had. Though it was my own mistake, the customer services representative offered me a FULL REFUND of the expansions 10 months after I purched them or a 33% discout of the download version of the original game. How many companies do you know that would offer a FULL REFUND for a product after 10 months of use due buyer error??
