"Have ordered from this reseller 6 times and 3 of the times they have either falsely advertised or not had the item---They have promised to improve their website for over one year now and have not, such as adding not in stock,etc. They fired the one regular worker that cared about customers and have replaced the good manager. The worse one John is back in charge---you can not reason with John---the one he replaced you could at least reason with---John has expressed recently the attitude that he is always right, better than the customer, and doesn't care about the customer directly to me and how bad the one he replaced--I would say in my opinion John is insane and has used the "F" word in a recent Email to me. He also does not answer Emails about 90% of the time. gameVE also has a weird telephone answering service that I can not figure out. You have to be an a fool (I know where that puts me) to order from them!"

it tool them 4 busines days to ship my order, bot too bad, i guess.
upon visual inspection of parts i fiund that the video card (ati 9800 pro 256) was danaged. components near one edge were bent or had connections, torn off of the circuit board. it looked the damage that could have happened easily from poor handling.
i calle immedaitle an epnt no less than 30 minutes with the worst menu system that i have ever used. it seemed to be designed to discourage callers. after lots of waiting and trying new options, i opted for sales, which got me a very quick answer. a helpful but not very well spoken man told me that i iwuld habe to send the damaged card back to them, and they would replace it if it was indeed damaged. i told him that this was unaacetable, and that i wanted a replacement immediately. he then remembered that there was also an "advanced replacement" option, where they send me a new card and i send them the damaged one. he arranged for my new card to ship and i waited.
2 weks, 10 business days later i still had no card. i called them and again only got a answer on the "sales" option. the guy who eventually answered told me that they didnt have a card in stock to send me. i told him it was no big deal, that he could just refund my money and i iwuld send him the damaged card, an i would buy it from someone else. he told me i would have to pay a 20% restocking fee. the conversation got heated at this point: he offered at one point to knock the restocking fee down to 15%. i insisted on a full refund, and ground on him for a while (my point was simple: if you dont have a working product to sell me, give my money back. im not going to wait until you get them in while you hold my money). this conversation went for 20 minutes or so when he mentioned "john" who wa the only person who could authorize the refund with no fee. "that is great. let me talk to john please" i asked. "john is not in today" was the reply. i started looking up the numbers for my credit card company an for the better business burea, and for pricewatch (since i had found this retailer through them) and told him so. i mae it clear that i wasn't going to let this go another day, and at that point john had just walked into the building (uh huh, right).
john wa pretty well spoken and explained o me that i had agreed to buy from them and that i had to give them the chane to provide the product (he ha been misinformed by his guy). i corectd him on the two weeks i had waited and on the "out of stock" card, an he told me that he certainly had a card to sell me and that he would se to it persoanlly that it was sent out that day. i asked for the umber to reach him directly, his full name and the time i should call to confirm that shipment and get the tracking number. he coughed a bit, and offered me more assurances (none of which i was really interested in). he told me to call between 4:00 and 4:30.
i called at 3:30 and caught him (john), and seemed to have forgotten who i was, and the assurances he had made me. after another long conversation he took my email address and said he would email me the tracking info. i got the tracking info 20 hours later, and the item atually shipped the day following that.
my new card arrived and all the equipment i got from them works great. i won't deal with them again, but if you have infinite patience this is probably a great vendor for you."

"Tried 1-800 #, and it was wrong. It did not go to gameve. it was a recorded message to call a chat line. (not impressed). No e-mail status for an update on my order 5 days after I ordered it. I called, and someone who spoke poor english answered the phone. He appeared to have trouble finding my order, and then had to put me on hold. The next guy (spoke poor english also), said that "they couldnt find my order, and would have to call me back. This is very un professional. Even after checking my order status at the website, it never changed from "sent to wharehouse" until i called them. All of a sudden, it has been packed and shipped. I am very un-impressed with gameve, their so called "customer service", and am afraid of what my order will look like. I am fairly confident, even before i receive my order, that I will never order from them again, not will I reccomend then to anyone. As a matter of fact, if I find even 1 thing wrong with my shipment (should have shipped 3 days ago), I will purposefully advise everyone I know NOT to use them just so they can spend their $$ where they are taken care of. At least I didnt have a customer waiting on this order."
