"Purchased 3 DVDs on 07/16/2006. I still have not received any information on this order or any part of the order itself. This company does not provide any information on back-orders or product availability and does not provide any way to cancel a delayed order. Customer service is non-existent. "I like the fact that both games and dvd movies can be rented with one subscription. No need to pay for 2 subscriptions. My titles arrived in a day and a half, even the ones listed as 'short wait'. The prices are very good also. I signed up for the annual plan where I can have 6 titles out at a time."

"I signed up fo the 3 out plan. They sent me an e-mail on 12 April saying three games had shipped. It's 27 April and I still have not recevied any games. I tried going through their customer support but they keep telling me they were shipped on the 12th. I sent them one final e-mail saying if the games have not shipped don't bother. I then cancelled my account. They sent me an e-mail saying I would be charged for the games I have out if they did not receive them in two weeks. The same games I have not received yet. "

"I subscribed to Gameznflix.com because of the great prices and the ability to get both games and DVDs from the same service. The DVD selection isn’t great, but I consider that more of a bonus than anything else-I’m more interested in renting games.

For the first month or so I was pretty happy with it. Their web site was a bit slow and clunky, and the maximum queue size is small, but otherwise things were okay. I was planning on waiting a few more months and then writing a positive review on here.

But starting three days ago I’ve been unable to log in to my account. I get a generic error message and get dumped back to the main page. (And yes, I’ve tried different computers, browsers, I’ve confirmed I have the correct password, etc.)
The only contact method Gameznflix has is through an “ask a question” submit form on their web site. They have no public email address, and no phone number listed anywhere.

For the last three days I’ve submitted this as a problem three separate times-and all three times the issue gets closed within a few hours with no response given, and no acknowledgement of any sort that an actual human has read my issue. (Bizarrely, the only area of their site I CAN log in to is the support section.)

Because of that, today I’ve sent a support request asking that my account be closed. There’s a method of closing your account yourself…but of course you have to be able to log in in order to close it-and if I could log in, I would have no reason to close it! I’m expecting them to ignore this request like the last three, so I’m also going to make sure they get blocked from billing my credit card again.

So basically, do NOT use gameznflix.com I know the price is tempting, I know the marketing tie in with Circuit City makes it look legitimate (that’s why I signed up initially), but if you have problems, they won’t bother responding to you, and there’s no real method of contacting them.

Update April 28, 2006: I’ve had to involve both the Better Business Bureau AND my credit card company, just to try to cancel my account-it’s been two weeks since involving them, and Gameznflix has yet to cancel my account, or acknowledge the BBB or my credit card company.

Gameznflix has also continued (slowly) shipping games to me, which I’ve been marking as “refused” and throwing back in the mail.

Do *NOT* do business with this company. Look up the Better Business Bureau rating-they’re listed as unacceptable, and for a large percentage of complaints never even bother responding to the BBB, let alone resolving the issue. I wish I had researched them on the BBB *before* signing up. Save yourself the headache! And don’t believe those obvious Gameznflix plants that gave them positive “reviews” on here.

"My Family and I Purchased GameZnflix and have been nothing short of satisfied, the Price is Right and the Title Selections of Games and Movies is very Good, it provides Conveniance and an Entertainment Package for the whole Family since I have a Young Gamer in the House..the competition like Netflix does not offer Games so this service is perfect for us, we get the Movies or Games in a Timely Fashion and no more rushing back to the rental store trying to beat the LATE FEES..We can keep them as long as we like and then just drop them in the mail in the pre-paid envelopes provided by GameZnflix...Keep up the Good work GameZnflix!!"

"GZFX does not send invoices, but I did the trial membership through Dec and joined 1/2/06. So far I am very satisfied with the service, movies and selection. My first Game was ordered and sent last week.

"Major Improvement, former Gameznflix customer, now back for good.

I used these guys a year ago, they were terrible, now they are best thing for the money that's out there for renting games and dvd's online. I live in Seattle, so using gamefly and waiting for games was a pain, not to mention expensive. Netflix is great, don't me wrong, but I would like to get both dvd's and games, like if I was walking into hollywood video. So I gave gameznflix another chance and was impressed, they have work to do on the web interface but the service, selection and delivery is good, coming from CA to Seattle, WA, it works for me and I'm glad to only be paying $16 a month versus $23 to have two titles out and having the option of renting games and movies.

I would recommend them and I hope they work on the website asap.

"Terrible service. I signed up for the two week trial. After 4 days, the first movie sent. I had 50 movies in my queue, so three should have sent at that time, they didn not. One movie was all that sent the entire time. All the others were not in stock.
Customer service replied with your basic sterilized non-helpful "thank you for choosing gameznflix -- please add more to your queue"
apparently 50 wasn't enough.

Useless customer service for a useless site. I'd suggest signing up to any of the many other rental-by-mail sites before this one.

"HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! Here is my final email to customer service. After reading the other bad reviews, I know it is not just me. I am going to cancel right now.

First, please understand.....I am complaining because I don't want to quit doing business with you, but the problems we continue to experience are becoming increasingly difficult to deal with. If I thought you didn't care, I would not write and waste time, and I would simply cancel my membership. ~ Read on.....

I just watched Blade II and when I got ready to load the envelope to send it back to you, I realized there is no return label on the mailer. Now I suppose you will have to mail one to me and I will have to wait several days for it delaying my future shipments even further. You know, we have put up with enough slow turn around time cycles to get our next movies, over half of what is in our queue is "on order" and half of the remaining items in our queue is "long delay". How can you say that you have the biggest selection of all online movie rental services if half of what you claim to offer is "on order"? It is rediculous! You have used the excuse that some of our desired titles such as "Strangers With Candy" will never arrive because you are no longer going to carry multi disc TV series because they are considered a loss to you because they are more abused and more often lost. (that is what I was told by customer service) Then quit showing SWC as "rentable" on your site! It still appears in our request list. Jesus Christ! You are a poor excuse for a video rental company! This missing label is just about the last straw. You'd better get me a label quick, and this better be the end of excuses for non existent titles in your library, poor turn around time, and sloppy shipping management or you will begin hemmorhaging customers and be out of business in no time! Any more screw ups and we will be the first out the door. I hate to leave really. Please tell me you have all this under control and there is light at the end of a very short tunnel......

I would love to hear from a member of management as opposed to a CSR, as I feel nothing will ever happen unless someone with some responsibility takes charge and presents these issues to management.

The last straw came today. I called on 2/8 to get a mailing label because one movie did not have a label. today, 2/21 I still did not have the label so I called. After major discussions with the CSR who would not let me speak to management, told me the cost of returning the movie would be mine. I cancelled the subscription and I will return the movies via certified mail because I know they will say they did not receive them. These people run a million dollar company like an amateur! I hope they go belly up soon!

"Worst service I have ever used. I had 50+ games in my Queue they were out of EVERYONE! I called and they said if they hasd one in stock that it would be sent. but could'nt even look up my account. "I (tried to try) the free trial of 6 dvds on Gameznflix and never received one disk after more than one week. I then tried to switch to the 3 dvd deal thinking less would get to me sooner. After a few minutes of debating if that was a good idea or not I decided to revert back to the 6 dvd deal and I was notified via email that I was charged $3.14 for the change. In the end, no dvds and the hassle of calling to get my money back. I'll only be happy when I get my refund from this so called dvd by mail store. You can take your chances...."

"Awful. Never sent me one disc in the two weeks of trial service. The various customer service people kept mumbling something about more vids in my queue. I kept responding that I already had 16 in my queue! I think they keep about 3 movies in stock and expect the customer to figure out which 3 by trial and error! They utterly suck and their reps are useless and sharp-tongued!"

"Tried the two week trial and tried to cancel after those two weeks. However, I still had DVDs out and was unable to cancel.

All other services I have tried allowed a grace period of 7-10 days for the DVDs to come back.

This is not the case with gameznflix. Once they received all the DVDs back and then cancelled, but was already charged a non-refundable month's fee.
