"Ordered a NICE, replacement gate opener board. Surprise! NO MANUAL. Called customer care and they emailed me the manual which I then had to print out. CHEAP. Put a manual in the box. Gatecrafters says this is a direct replacement for the Apollo 836 board. Well, while the mounts do align, they will not hold the board the same as the Apollo board. I had to drill and install new board standoffs. Began initial setup for the board and instantly got an error code. Customer service could not tell me what was causing the code at first. Second call and the code was from the BlueBus photo eye not working. The BlueBus photo eye did come with a manual, in 6 languages, but had no references as to connections or jumper placement for the gate board.
4 hours to install this board, mostly spent with customer service. The manual is poorly designed, no reference as to error codes (actually, the error code was in one paragraph 4 pages back). There are no guides as to input or output connections and what they actually do, except that they are "inputs" or "outputs." (I actually got more info from my old Apollo board manual)
Now I'm ordering an exit wand. Guess what? No manual as to proper connections. They're emailing them to me.
While Gatecrafters says they support the customer, I find that statement misleading. "
