"The customer service I received was terrible from this company. I ordered on 12/07/2015 and on 12/10/2015 still had not received a shipping notice, so I e-mailed the company because after several attempts at calling and no answer, I decided maybe e-mail would be better. I was e-mailed on 12/11/2015 stating my items would ship in 24-48hrs. On 12/16/2015 I still had not received a shipping notice, so called yet again. I was on hold for over 20 mins, only to then be told by the customer service representative that my order still had not shipped, but should be shipping in the next day or two. I then told her that I needed to know if my order would arrive before Christmas as it was gifts for my family. She informed me that she could not guarantee that, but could go ahead & refund me!!!! Um... I ordered this on 12/07/2015, if anything it should have been delivered by 12/18/2015 at the latest. Then on top of all that, I received the wrong 3 items. I would not recommend this company. "Delivery took quite a while, and the contents of these boxes are quite frankly junk. Cheap little inventory items they're trying to get rid of mostly, with maybe one slightly more valuable thing thrown in like the Olay Regenerist cream I got. Sure there's a chance you can get high value items like the a tv or plane tickets that they advertise, but I think your chances are a bit like winning the lottery. They draw you in with that possibility but most of what they give out is cheap junk.

I love a good deal and love to keep little (cheaply bought) things around for last minute gifts. This box would be good for that IF I hadn't paid $30 for it. I'd keep it for $10, *maybe* even $20, but not $30. Cheaply made junk. GearXS might think the items are worth more, but to me they're not. I wouldn't pay more than $2 each for more than half the items. Because if I time it right and find a sale or good deal I could get the same things on Amazon or maybe even the dollar store for two bucks or less. Luckily I can supposedly return. We'll see how that goes.

In the women's box I got: a cute fleece lined beanie, two pairs of Christmas socks, a gaudy costume jewelry bracelet "made with swarovski elements," a black pashmina scarf, some fleece earmuffs, some knockoff Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses, Olay Regenerist moisturizer, and some legwarmers with rhinestones on them.

In the men's box I got: some cheaply made ski gloves, a five pair pack of dress socks, the same fleece earmuffs, a pack of disposable Bic razors, two packs of Walmart brand AAA batteries, a travel grooming kit, a headlamp, a card/money holder/clip, a "high performance" flashlight, and a cheap tacky small plastic tie holder which looks very much like the cheap little thing your ties or socks would come hung on for FREE when bought in store."

"I bought 3 different mystery boxes; one men's, one women's, and one kids. They were all pathetic to say the least. I paid $30 for each box and was under the impression that there would be at least $100 worth of product. Well imagine how disappointed I was when I opened the first box. Two pairs of Women's holiday socks, a cheap pair of ear muffs, two scarfs and winter beanie. I live in Mississippi! We have zero need for this cold weather clothing. Maybe they could take the time and see where their customers live before sending someone winter gear. That would be like sending someone in Alaska ice cubes; really? The women's box also had a moisturizing cream and a cheap pair of sun glasses.

Then I got to the men's box. The first thing I saw was a package of disposable razors and not even high quality ones. These were single blade razors that will slice your face up long before they shave any hair off. There were a couple packs of AA batteries, and they weren't even a good brand. They were cheap off brand. I will just say that they claim to be a GREAT VALUE but are far from it. Come on! I did not order a mystery gift box to get batteries! What would have been nice would have been to get something that I needed batteries for. What a concept! There was a cheap money clip and two flashlights that were slightly better than ones you might find at a local dollar store. And the winter theme continued with a pair of winter snow gloves and the exact same cheap ear muffs that were in the women's box. Also 5 dress socks. The final item in this box made things so much clearer for me. I finally understood why they claim to be giving you $100 worth of merchandise. There was an item in a box that was called a "5 piece travel grooming kit". What are the contents of this kit you ask? Well, there are Toe nail clippers, finger nail clippers, grooming scissors, and a nail file. But that is only 4 items? I thought there was supposed to be 5 items? Well the 5th item was the cheap case those other 4 items were stored in, so really there are only 4 grooming items in this kit. But that is not the best part; the best part is that on the outside of this kit there is a price. Someone must have thought that the dollar amount was equivalent to Mexican peso's! Take a guess; how much do you think this kit "worth"? $5? $10? $15? Try $20!!! This cheap little 4-5 piece kit is considered to be worth $20! I can find far better kits, for far less money at my local grocery store and that is while I am standing at the checkouts waiting my turn. By now I am trying to decide if I should laugh uncontrollably because this company honestly thinks they are sending unsuspecting people like me great deals, or if I should retain a lawyer to get back my money and the money of every other poor soul who fell for this gimmick. Anyone that posts that they got items beyond belief were either paid to do so, or was on of the lucky 1:100,000 people who actually do get something nice, so other people can ready their reviews and think they will get the same.

Well if you are still reading, right about now you are wondering about the "kids mystery box". I would say this one was the least disappointing, but not by very much. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the best, I would give the women's box a.... 0! It was so bad that box doesn't even deserve a number on the proposed scale. The men's box gets a 1.2. (The .2 if for making me laugh at the ridiculous notion that the grooming kits is worth $20. I still chuckle when I think of that.) And what about the kid's box? I give it a solid 2. The only reason that box got a 2 instead of a 1 is because there were no winter themed items in it. The items that were in it were still crap, but at least they were crap that the kids could play with for a few minutes until they completely fell apart. Half of the boxes contents were a rubber band bracelet making kit, with about 5 packages of extra rubber bands. Hours of enjoyable fun right there. There was this kit with sand and molds, so my kids could make a star fish out of sand in the comfort of my living room. Then I can vacuum it up and that would be the end of that; or we could just go to the beach right down the road and have more sand then we need and make all sorts of things. Best part? No vacuuming afterwards. There was some sort of night light that would display stars on the ceiling, some LED fiber-optic bike handlebar tassel kind of things, and some shoe laces that light up or something like that. The only other items were so close to being winter themed; I was almost tempted to downgrade this rating to a 1.5! One was a pair of ear muffs; however they were headphones you could listen to music with, so I let them slide. (I should note that they were not individually packaged in any way, shape, or form and I fully expect them to fall apart or stop working completely within one week.) The other item was a beanie hat of sorts, but it was an animal character, novelty item, that I guess could be worn at any time of the year by a kids who enjoys walking around with a penguin on his/her head, so it also just missed the winter theme category.

If I haven't convinced you by now not to buy these mystery boxes for yourself then you deserve to throw your money away. I would say you would be better off burning your money for the heat it would produce, to keep you warm in the winter time, but since this company is likely to send to winter gear with your order, maybe you should shop from them. (Unless of course you live in Alaska, then you will probably get something like a portable air conditioning unit or something like that.)
