"In process of trouble shooting leak in Kenmore dishwasher, I saw water dripping from one of the clips on the sump. This model does not have replaceable sump seal, so elected to replace both sump and circulation pump (extra $40 or so) as one unit. Put in replacement parts and when putting everything else together, noted a very small hole in a disfigured area of basin underneath heater. A little poking and it grew to two 1/2" diameter holes!!! That was my leak all along. Testing now a repair with JB Weld water epoxy and layer of Rutland clear RTV silicone on top. Time will tell.

Bottom line- make damn sure you know where that leak is coming from. Sump and pump delivered quickly and best cost I found on web; both are working correctly in my testing so far."
